Sony has promised that all his mobile 2011 would be updated to Android 4.0. For examole, early last month the Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro has been updated to Ice Cream Sandwich. With this in mind, the next stage of the Tour Ice Cream Sandwich is the Sony Ericsson Xperia mini. This is not the OTA update simple and intuitive. First, to see if the device is ready to go through the process, try the figure 8 Item Number Sales (SI) number under the battery. See if it matches with the list of numbers from the SI website of Sony. You can do this by clicking on sourcelink. If the SI from the phone appears in the list, you can use Companion PC or Mac for the Bridge to connect to the PC and load the update.
If you do not remember too much about the Sony Ericsson Xperia mini, had a 3-inch screen with resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and a resolution of 192ppi. A single-core processor at 1GHz is under the hood, while 512MB of RAM onboard. A capacity of 32GB microSD available Cardis and the rear facing 5-megapixel camera has AF and LED flash. The video can be captured in 720p. As such, Sony says it's the smallest device in the world that can record HD video.
Those who have installed Android 4.0 on their Sony Ericsson Xperia mini say it's like having a new phone. If you have installed the update, let us know what you think by commenting in the box below.
Lucky xperia users got ICS while many devices frm othr manufacturers having better specs still on GB..

Please Help Me!! Should I Wait For Galaxy W Or Buy Neo V?
Please Comment.....Any Help Would Be Appreciated!!!
I think you should get the Neo V as it will definitely be getting ICS, and maybe even another update after that as Sony have been improving. The Galaxy Wonder probably will get ICS but Samsung take forever with their updates.
go for neo V sony confirmed that it will be getting ANDROID 4.0...
based on your (wish) list, neo v won imo.
PIck neo v, its cooler. there are also great support for that device here in xda. very customizable. camera is good with 5mp. Sony keeps their OS updated.
I need to replace ma aged Milestone (OG Droid) and basically this two are the only choice I have (contract, gift etc)
I like the IP67 cert. on the GO and love the idea of dual core cpu, however I am worried about the screen res HVGA on 3.5", will I go blind from the pixel size? 165 ppi
I like the screen size on One V, the ICS and the unibody, but I am worried that it won't be much of an upgrade from my old phone (running at 1 Ghz on CM7). I was looking at some quadrant benchmarks and while it is faster, its not by much. However the 512mb ram would be a huge upgrade to me (milestone locked BL, no swap apps shutdown).
As far as I can tell, they both have decent 5mp cameras and shoot nice 720p videos.
Need advice.

Agree with above, except for two points:
First, there isn't Sony Ericsson anymore. Second, he probably wouldn't find anything. This kind of info only stays at some "darker" forums.
But here is what is known for now:
C660X Yuga - 2GB RAM, APQ8064, 5 inch 1080p, 2800mAh battery, water/dust resistant.32GB ROM
C650X Odin - Same as Yuga but no water resistance, smaller battery
C550X Dogo- APQ8064, water/dust resistant,720p display
C360X - MSM8960/8260A S4 krait, 1 GB RAM, 720p Display
C210X - S4 Krait Dual MSM8227/8627, 1GB RAM, 720p Display
C160X - Xperia E Dual - MSM7227A 1 ghz, 480x320 res, 512MB RAM, Dual Sim
C150X - Xperia E - Same as E Dual, single sim variant
Xperia E/E Dual will ship with ICS 4.0.4, all others will ship with Android 4.1/4.2

I know. I just pasted everything As screen size for majority, not known. Only know the flagship (Yuga and Odin) which is 5 inches and a Phablet not mentioned with 6 inches.
"What really matters in this world, anyway?"
hello
i heard the rumours before that sony will release xperia L but it comes with 4.3 inch dispay
so, does anyone knows that if sony will release its new midrange phone with these criteria :
-3.5 - 4.0 inch
-height below than 118mm
-width 60 - 65mm
-ppi more than 200ppi
-running smothly and easily and accurate while texting message
-dual core at least 1ghz cpu and 512mb

-htc desire x is good with s4 proccesor but too expensive n no option to root without ub as xperia device
-nokia lumia 620 is the best phone that suit all my criteria but window 8 os
Hi buddies, I´m still searching a good Android smartphone to replace my old Live Walkman. I´m looking for a mid range phone to use everyday, I´m taking so seriously the Xperia L, but I have some questions before buy it:
Can you tell me your Xperiance (jajaja) with the L? Tell me about bugs, sound, camera, screen, battery and performance. I´m coming to Xperia L family from the Live Walkman.
What´s the difference between C2104 and C2105 models ? Who´s the best one, or the universal one? Take the example between WT19a and WT19i models (Live Walkman). In my country only the Chilean models are aviable.
Some things I may consider to use this smartphone?
The Xperia L supports a San Disk 16 GB class 4 microSD :fingers-crossed:? Have you used it? I know it supports ´til 32 GB, but I heard about problems with 16 GB cards (like songs bug)
The Xperia L supports 64 GB cards?
How will I know if my bootloader is unlockable?
Thanks in advance, I´m totally a noob
Sorry for my poor English if you find any mistake
Fairly speaking, the newer Moto G looked like a better deal to me, but I'm really happy with XL
Bugs : The newest update (.14) removed most of them, I can't seem the notice the reported ones too.
Experience : From the first day onwards, the phone felt amazing, coming from a mtk chipset. Sound is loud, earphones are amazing (but some like nokia are incompatible due to different standards), the camera I was happy with from day one, no idea why everybody was complaining, but the night shots were terrible, which eventually got fixed. The screen is sometimes too bright, when reading at night, and is ample during the day. The battery, on normal usage (1hr dead trigger 2, an hour or so of calls, constant 3G, messaging) lasts around 18-20 hours easily from 100%. Performance? COME ON! It can take any damn game, dead trigger 2, asphalt 8, without any noticeable lags.
There's no real difference except the baseband I think. I have the c2104 model and it gave the same benchmarks as the c2105 so not much of a difference i'd say.
I have a 16GB microsd class 4 and it works beautifully. No bugs whatsoever.
No, XL does not support 64 gb sd but considering that even 16gb is sometimes too much for me, I'd say im okay with it
To know if the bootloader is unlockable, enter *#*#7378423#*#* in the dialer, it takes you to the service details (if i recall correctly)
Please do not forget to thank! I'm a newbie too, its okay

I can give you good, useful advice. I also used the Live with Walkman before the Xperia L and my brother has the Moto G which I have tested. Below I have given a comparison...
Xperia L vs Live with Walkman
- Live with Walkman: better screen sensitivity.
- Live with Walkman: better front facing camera.
- Live with Walkman: louder (stereo speakers).
- Xperia L is better in every other way, better specs, newer android version, better design (imo) etc...
Xperia L vs Moto G
- Moto G: faster/better processing power.
- Moto G: nearly AOSP experience, very fast/fluid.
- Moto G: android 4.4/Kit-Kat.
- Moto G: cheaper!
- Xperia L: better design.
- Xperia L: better rear camera (not front, front camera on Xperia L is awful).
- Xperia L: sony features (media apps, launcher, themes etc...)
Verdict
Go for the Moto G, unless your getting the Xperia L cheap (like I did ), the Moto G will do you better in the long run.
