Bluetooth connected, sounds playing thru both phone speaker and bluetooth - Thunderbolt General

I have the LG HBS-700 stereo bluetooth stereo headset. For some reason even though the headset is connected and both phone and media audio are active, all sounds play thru both the bluetooth and the phone speaker. I have tried different adjustments in volume apps with no luck. How do I get my phone to play all sounds only thru the bluetooth when bluetooth is connected. I have tasker if that can do it.

What apps are u running for volume
List all volume apps and apps you have on phone
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium

Did you get this
http://m.lg.com/us/cell-phone-accessories/lg-HBS700-tone
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium

Yes that is the headset.
I have uninstalled all volume apps, they dont solve this. Its not an app causing this. What i see is that notifications, alarm sounds and ringer sounds are playing on both the bluetooth and the phone speaker at the same time. Media and phone calls are being played only on bluetooth. I want the phones speaker to not make any sounds at all when my bluetooth is connected, but for all sounds to still play on the headset. If i raise notification volume, notification sounds play on both. If i mute notification volume, it plays on neither. Makes no sense to me that the phone itself is playing any sounds when bluetooth is connected. Is there a way to stop the phone from making any sounds but still play all sounds on bluetooth when the headset is connected? If not any ideas on a workaround via tasker?

Did u installer the extender that LG says it needs
List your apps please
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium

There is no extender app in the market specifically for hbs 700 model, and if you look at the full specs on the product page, none have two stars to indicate needing the app. If someone had an apk link for it ill try it.

Internal EQ adjustment?

Is there any way to globally adjust the eq? I would like to tweak Pandora's output but can't. I saw a mod for the Droid, I think it was called milestone eq or something. If anyone has ideas or maybe something can be added to one of the upcoming rom's...
Thanks....

This shouldn't be in the development section, but I may include Voodoo sound in my next kernel. Then you'll be able to adjust a lot of settings.
Thx, I wasn't sure where to put it....

if it is a question put it in general untill we have a q&a section, it is safer there. maybe if the qiestions are development related (like you are in the middle of a project and need input and plan to post the project later in the same thread) you might get away with it.
to answer the question there is an eq widget in the market but i didnt care for the quality and there is an app called galaxy tuner (also in the market) for the i9000 and other phones with similar hardware that works on the infuse. dont use it on the external speaker(bug results in lost ringtones) but it works great for headphones. it also has a "3d sound" option that works pretty nice, better than any other audio enhancement i have seen on an andriod phone.
The problem with the marketplace apps is that they only work for music played in a music player, not streamed through services like Pandora. I'll check out the ones you mentioned though...

galaxy tuner claims to be a hardware eq, it is at minimum a global eg, it is not a music player but an app that sets many hardware and kernel setting that you otherwise dont have access to. it works! the eq widget (dont remember the name) also works but i never got a good balance out of it.

Best 3 apps you have

Wanted to start a thread where everyone could list 3 of their most useful apps with a quick description, idea is that there may be some great software out there that others are missing out on. I certainly would like to find more ways of making my device more useful or efficient.
Ill start off:
LLAMA - detects you location via cell towers and can toggle things like wifi bluetooth or sound profiles
CUBED or ³ - music player, but has a very cool and easy to use interface
UNLOCK WITH WIFI - when connected to your wifi you dont need to input the security pattern (handy at home)
Smart Taskbar Pro- Adds a little half circle (or square) to the edge of your screen which makes your apps accessible from anywhere. Even had a favorites list. Extremely convenient.
Widget Locker-A lockscreen replacement. Its customizable. And convenient for me because the sensation doesn't have a trackpad so now I can use my volume buttons to wake the phone and then the back key to unlock. Really a great program and you can still have pin code lock protection.
Launch Key-allows you to set the " hold search key option"to any app, shortcut, or system function.
I like apps that reduce multitasking time and these apps really do it for me.
Best 3 Apps
Spare parts - resizes the apps that don't seem to fit the full size of the screen, as well as other things.
Crackle - Legally stream movies and television for free.
Skyfire - The best web browser in my opinion.
Smart app protector- allows you to lock any app with a password
Awesome drop- easy to use wireless file transfer between computer and phone
Lightwell live wallpaper- wallpaper that displays the battery, time and date and more so you dont have to clog up homescreens with widgets
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk
Tasker - a lot more powerfull than LLAMA, but also not so user friendly
PowerAMP - music player (plays losless using cue sheets)
Dice Player - absolutely the best video player for Sensation
could you post links to said apps?
1: Pandora- Internet radio.
2: Netflix- I'm a huge movie buff.
3: Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus- Great online fps game.
Where can you download that crackle app for streaming movies and tv? I couldn't find it on the marketplace.

Equalizer problem

Hey guys, I just got the Galaxy S Blaze, and I like the stock music app, but hate the equalizer it has. I've downloaded tons of different equalizer apps apps and not a single one of them works. Is there any way that I can get this to work? As in deleting the app or process that causes the equalizer not to work? Thanks

I use Equalizer from SmartDroid - workable flawlessly and has reverb bass boost virtual and other options...here's
Their homepage...u can find it on the market

The EQ in poweramp works just fine for me. You can use either (or both) EQ or tone controls, and it supports profiles, which is nice if you use different types of headphones.
Michael, I use Equalizer and it's actually my favorite equalizer app to use, but it doesn't work when I play music using the stock music player

That's strange, it works with all mine including slacker, mort , stock player, gp music, it even does my phone calls unless I deactivate it...
Then again not all phones are equal - meaning my G2x did odd things that others did...

Best Apps To Have

Every device on XDA has one so why not us, I also own the tombile version but hey its basically the same thing, so i thought i might as well bring it over to our side
I'm going to share some useful applications I have on my GS2.
1.Rotation Locker - It locks your screen to either Portrait or Landscape. Awesome app to have when playing temple run in landscape.
2. Rom ToolBox Pro - ROM Toolbox combines apps like Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, ROM Manager, front changer, and etc. Basically your swiss army knife for a root user.
3. AdFree for Android - I hate annoying ads this app removes most ads in the browser and other apps.
4. MXPlayer - one of the best apps for viewing movies and online content if you dont want to use gallery.
5. ProPlayer Music Player - Awesome music player that support all music formats, built in EQ, allows you to change songs when phone in standby mode by just the volume button
6.Tweetcaster - Great App to use if you tried of twitter. other than that its a social networking app that needs no explanation
7. Amazon App Store - They offer a Free Paid App Of The Day (snag rom toolbox pro off of there this is a must have app) did i mention FREE PAID APP A DAY!!!!!
8. XDA App - No Explanation at all
9. Dolphin browser HD - To me Best web browser on the android market (Plz remember this is an opinion lol)
10. Audio Manager / hide it pro - If you have one of those girlfriends/wife that love going threw your phone (call log, sms, pictures.) This app is perfect for you. lets u hide pictures, videos, applications, messages, and calls in your phone in plain sight.
This is a community and we all have the same device so lets help each other out. If you want to know what's a good app is regarding your needs, ask in this thread and I, or others, will be able to help you out.
*NOTE* If you know any unique or useful applications dont be selfish and keep it to yourself, please add them in this thread so I and others on this thread can check them out. Hey you never know who you may help or surprise on this thread
A couple ones I find useful:
Zarchiver - a file manager/explorer program. Makes extracting and keeping track of things a lot easier.
App Garden - Bunch of utilities in one. Calculator, unit conversions, dictionary, etc. Great value and space saver.

Also, not sure of this is really "useful", but if you're a fan of anime, I'd recommend you download Watchwhatanime. It's a free anime streaming app with an extremely wide selection, so you'll more than likely find whatever anime you're into. Especially good if you're into Naruto, Bleach or any other currently running anime that Crunchyroll holds out on. If you don't mind waiting an extra day, the latest episodes are available, as opposed to either waiting a week or paying for a crunchyroll subscription.

Have you seen the recently updated version? It's much easier. Just pick your anime, select the "episodes" tab, choose your episode and click a streaming link (options available for most of them are videoweed, video44, novamov) all streaming links for that episode contain the same episode. There's just multiple there in case one link is broken.

[Mirror][app] TinyShark 3.1.5 (Groveshark client)

Update: I hadn't realized the original developer still has this on their website. I searched Google before but didn't find any place to download, that's why I posted the mirror. But later on I stumbled upon it. The developer's site is http://exigocs.com you can also download TinyShark Downloader from there.
It's no longer available on Play Store, but I downloaded it shortly after I got Android. I then discovered soon after it was removed from Play Store, so it has since lived on my sdcard with TitaniumBackup, since I did a lot of ROM flashing.
Despite not being updated for over a year, it works great on Jelly Bean , and is still is one of the best Grooveshark apps for android I've ever tried, with playlists, offline cache option, and more.
With offline cache, you can effectively use this as a mobile Grooveshark downloader. It dumps the songs into sdcard/tinyshark_songs/ where they have id3 tags, but are just named a bunch of numbers. You could cache them 1 at a time, then go there and rename the file to whatever you want, or you could just copy to your PC and use software to use id3 to name the files.
Here is the original description:
Listen to Grooveshark on your Android device for FREE.
- Search the Grooveshark database
- Import Grooveshark playlists
- Play individual songs or an entire playlist
- Cache songs for offline playback
Does NOT require Adobe Flash to play music (Settings -> Use Flash Player). TinyShark now does not need Flash for music playback, but it is still an option for those that find it works better.
Starting with version 3.0 a lot has changed under the hood. A lot of fixes are being made so check for updates often. If you are having problems try reinstalling and create a new shortcut in your launcher. If you are still having issues please email details and send any crash reports you can.
Thanks to everyone that's been emailing!
To download songs try Tinyshark Downloader also available in the market.
Taken from:
http://www.bestappsmarket.com/p/app?appId=8894&title=tinyshark
It really works much better with "Use Flash Player" unchecked. [You have to do that to enable Offline Cache]
The app id is com.exigo.tiny

Not connecting
I am experiencing some problems during the last month with this amazing app. It doesn't connect, when i try to connect i can see the 'connecting...' with the yellow light, but in a few seconds becomes again 'Disconnected' with the red light. Is it just me or this app is not working now?
I am having the same issue as well.

I would consider this app *warez* for the fact it is used to steal music off a site that is know for being borderline legal anyways. There is a reason Google removed it from Play.
Just sayin.

Not the artists I listen to. I buy direct from them or their independent label.
If your music is controlled by the RIAA then you need to stop listening to USA Top 40 and go out and find real music.
Either way is better then supporting this app.
But back to why I brought this up, if XDA allows this app then why not all the other MP3 downloaders in the play Store?
Mod maybe answer?

How to setup squid Proxy for tinyshark for streaming?
Somehow my T-Mobile connection seems to be blocking the tinyshark connection. Whenever I use the T-Mo data connection, my tinyshark would immediately show disconnected.
I managed to setup a squid server so that it now shows "connected" ( squid log says TCP_HIT/200 1495 GET http://grooveshark.com/crossdomain.xml - NONE/- text/xml )
But the songs are not streaming...
Anyone has experience setting up squid for tinyshark that could share some insight?
