Has anyone noticed that when recording videos, the camera constantly alters focus. Is there any way to stop this? I run zydriod 3.5 with the stock camera and my wife has pure stock HOS but both have the same problem.
I have the same problem , even tested more roms and still got that constant focus noise.

Hello,
I'm facing an annoying problem.
I tried to do video call on my friend's ipod touch, both devices were in same room(at night time with tube light on)
ipod's video was very clear and bright, whereas my phone's video was very dark. Then i tried to switch to the back camera which was more awful, the picture was too blurry and the object could not be seen properly(the camera works fine for taking photos).
Am i the only one facing this problem?? Is there any solution to this problem?
I've got this phone:
Htc Desire S
android 2.3.3
htc sense 2.1
kernal 2.6.35.10-g2ee27f5
Thanks
any help? any suggestions please?
I've been trying to get better performance out of the stock video camera and here are my observations.
Stock video camera
Pretty good at default settings but cannot seem to set focus point manually
Cannot do macro video because of this
Very smooth recording, no dropped frames
Lgcamcorder
Video looks brighter than stock camera
Can set focus point by touching a point on the screen
Problem is the focus hunting doesn't stop, it focuses nice and sharp, and then drops the focus and keeps repeating this cycle endlessly.
Jerky, seems to halt for 2 seconds every so often
Does anyone know if the stock video camera can do macro video at all? How do we get it to work?
I had problems with LGCAMERA for my past phones. Though it has many options, there were times after having recorded a video, it would just not save the file and I was very frustrated by this as I lost some important videos!
yes, it looks good, but the focus hunting just never stops! Anyone had any luck with it?
I use lgcamera and set the focus mode to macro and have no problems with focus hunting.
Hello,
Just got a used Razr HD Maxx, 4.4.2. Everything is fine except that I have a couple of camera issues:
1. Taking pictures: when the camera is focusing, I hear a click noise from the camera. Is this normal?
2. Taking video in low light: the camera does not focus. Before I click the record button, the camera finds focus just fine. As soon as I click the video record button, the focus immediately changes and becomes blurry. I cannot change focus once recording starts.
Has anyone experienced these issues? Thanks!
I have problem with op6 microphone . It uses the wrong microphone in apps such as snapchat and whatsapp .
I get no sound when I'm recording video with front camera ,Snapchat front camera , WhatsApp voice notes and Facebook live .
But microphone works well when I am using gcam front camera , WhatsApp gold , voice calls and the recorder app.
Unfortunatly it's been an issue from the beginning and OnePlus never cared to fix that. I had the same problem with my op6 and was really frustrating as on whatsapp I was the only one having horrible audio quality when I had to send audio messages. The only fix so far is installing a custom rom (aosp based) that is not Oxygen OS, since it only happens in the stock rom.

You are right the issue is with the oos and aosp fixs that.. but the camera image quality is very poor on snapchat in aosp based roms..
Hey guys,
i have been using EvoX for quite a while now and really like it. Except it has a bug which causes the volume in snapchat video recordings to become very quiet, leading to my snaps being inaudible.
This is not a hardware issue, as when i am calling or recording audio messages, everything is fine.
i switched to Pixel Experience today, only to find out that this rom also has the issue...
Is there any potentially good ROM without this bug? Or even better, a fix for every ROM?
Help is greatly appreciated.
