Try thisDo it for your own risk )
Remove the battery and insert the battery again, press and hold the volume up and down,
press the power button and wait until the screen (SAMSUNG) appears then release the power button but keep the volume up and down until recovery appear,
then select (backup / restore) and restore backup if any, otherwise select factory reset and reboot (but remember this process delete all personal data.)
Hope that helps!

when you do a cold boot (hard reset) you have to
1. Power off the phone. Remove and re-insert the battery to make sure.
2. Press and hold the middle of the Volume button (so that both + and - are pushed down) and the Camera button. While holding these button also press the Power button.
3. Wait until the screen shows "Cold Boot" then release the Power button only.
4. Keep holding the middle of Volume and Camera buttons pressed until the Welcome screen appears.
This may require some fingering to get it right. If you don't get it right you may accidently enter the emergency download mode.
If this doesn't work you can use the download mode to deploy a NoDo rom that might be available for you phone.
Hi everyone,
I hope you can help me!! :fingers-crossed:
My Inspire 4G was working fine, i leave my phone in my house and someone put a code to my phone i was trying to make a factory reset and it's impossible!! My phone can't enter into hboot or recovery!! I press the volume down button and power button and the phone start normally, i can´t enter to make a factory reset, the phone entering normally but i can't reset that from the settings because it's blocked!!
I will be really grateful if you can help me!!
Sounds like you may have Fast boot enabled. Pull the battery, wait about 30 seconds, replace battery. Then you should be able to enter hboot as you normally would with vol-down + power.

Guys guys Science may have found a solution right now ... will luckily I do not know, however, acts, then taken by anxiety, I did a downgrade of the OS taking it to the first version available from asus website:
https://www.asus.com/it/Phone/ZenFon...Desk_Download/ and download the oldest! that is, the first at the bottom, downloaded the zip file, and insert it in SD, reboot the phone in boot pressed power button and volume +, with selected RECOVERYMOD down key and select it with the power button, go into recovery and select update from SD car, flashed the firmware previously downloaded and placed in SD at the end you do the second wipe data factory and wipe cache, and reboot, there will dawn upgrade the touch, but the startup screen with the set of languages, now do not do anything and restart again, now it appears the annoying firmware upgrade again always with 0% but the screen "press and hold the power button ... etc .." do it and you will see that it will restart the cell, proceed quietly with the set of the options and creating acount, now every time you turn it on or ravviate, will win for a second the annoying pop-ups but the cell will reboot again and will turn on normally, it is not the best solutions but at least you can use your device, I hope I was helpful and let me know
PS SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH

no, because there is still no update for my device, my tablet wont go to safe mode now(maybe because i have done several flashing in my device & it often fails) , i have tried downloading apps that will automatically put your device to safe mode after reboot but it will say "unfortunately *** stopped" then reboot again to normal. But i will try reinstall my rom after im done with my work, is there any other options?
Turn On Safe Mode
If the device is on, turn it off.
Press and hold the “Volumem Down” button, Then press the “Power” button until the Galaxy Tab powers on.
Continue to hold down only the “Volume Down” button until the Home screen loads.
............................................
Maybe some of Apps cause the problem try to uninstall new them
I had the same problem with Galaxy Grand2 after update but after switch to safe mode the problem solved
After all if the problem is still exist install new rom with Odin [Download the Rom from http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-T231 ]
Hello,
My phone went into bootloop and I cannot do anything to open it. I cannot connect it to the computer or wipe all data from the phone. I have never done aything on it and the bootloop happened while i was sleeping. Woke up to find that the phone is constantly rebooting. Also the phone does not stay in fast boot mode. I managed to open the recovery mode and select wipe all data but the process interrupts and the phone reboots again. I also think that the power button might have a problem because when i only press the volume down button the device enters fast boot mode. Thanks in any help
Your power button may have been stuck. Try to press it harder or from one end.

I have opened to phone to see that the power button was indeed stuck. Had to jam a piece of paper there to make it stop for now.
Install the Recovery ROM with MiPCSuite.
