Hey guys, I bought my HTC ONE S two months ago, and i am suffering from the reception problem. my deveice will completely lose signal by random without any action, then it will reconnect after 10-30 seconds. I've tried almost all kinds of ways to solve this problem, such as change rom, radio and sim card, but the peoblem is still there. anyone has the same issue? any advice? thank you.
Yupp I had the same problem with my one S, I would be using the internet and just lose signal then get full signal a few moments later. Really annoying when watching videos on YouTube. That's why I switched to the GS3

I bought a used unlocked HTC Viva (Quad Band GSM ) on impulse and truthfully I love it - when it works. It sometimes holds on to a signal for an entire day, but other times the signal drops, searches, reconnects, drops, searches, reconnects endlessly. I have taken the SIM card in and out. I have tried changing from automatic to manually selecting networks ( I use T-Mobile) . I have browsed through the registry to try to find some clue as to whether it was originally locked to a network it may still try to find. I flashed the Rom. Now I am giving up and asking the experts - is there any reason for a phone to drop signal so frequently while other t-mobile phones in the same room have a strong connection? Is there anything else I can try??
Thanks so much for any suggestions,
Susan
Hi there,
There are many reasons for signal problems, but need to start somewhere..... so you say you have flashed the rom, to what? DId it come with a radio? What is signal like compared to a different phone in the same room? Have you dropped the phone or is there any damage to the casing etc?
Hello to all
is almost three months that I'm struggling with an annoying problem
the tablet I lose the signal gsm, it appears the rod antenna and it does not work, sometimes it takes a few minutes sometimes hours
initially I thought it was problem of SIM, I replaced the SIM but the problem remained, always recurs every random and in different places
After all the tests I took the tablet into a service center if you are required a month, just access the tablet has presented the same problem
any of you have had these problems, I would avoid staying for another month without a tablet
Thanks to all
Francesco
I have a problem with my Nexus 5 that i would like some help to troubleshoot.
When I'm on cellular network i often have full reception on 4g, when suddenly it drops to absolute zero all of the sudden, data is disconnected and no phone calls can be made during that time. If i wait 10-15sec it is connecting again and up to full strength.
This happens all the time with a few minutes between each time, and has no affect of the location I'm at.
Often I'm just surfing the web when it comes up that this requires internet connection, and notices the bars are gone, and have to wait a few seconds before its back online again.
What would be the best steps to troubleshoot this? Is there any radio log on the phone that i can tail for errors?
Can it be hardware error? Can it be that the simcard looses connection to the hardware?
Im currently running a custom rom, but it was the same with stock when i tried that.
Any help appreciated!

Does it do it on other phoness? I've found that my carrier is updating towers in my area. When T-Mobile US was upgrading their network to LTE and changing panels, literally signal that was once there would be gone for upwards of a week.

No i had a Nexus 4 just before, using the same rom and Provider, worked fine then. Have had this issue for about 1,5 month.
Thanks for the answer though
I'm having exactly the same issue. Though for me it's not happening all the time, only when I'm connected to VPN. It's still very annoying because VPN disconnects when the signal drops.

Flash the latest radio and see if that helps although I think your custom ROM probably has the latest but you never know http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557523
Hi
My girlfriend also owns a oneplus one. She had the screen repaired, since then she doesn't have signal all the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. She tried to fix it with another sim but no effect. But last week we went abroad twice and when we were abroad she had signal all the time, and as soon as we got back in Belgium she lost signal again. Now since a day or 2 she has even less signal and she can't send messages or call even with signal.
Just adding that I also own a oneplus and I use the same provider and I have signal everywhere and I have no issues at all.
Anybody that has a solution or might know what the problem is?
Thanks in advance
Anthony
Hello.
Bought this OPO recently second hand. It sadly had an issue with connectivity. It has really bad reception 99% of the time, no matter where you are. Below -103 dBm and is rarely usable at all.
I have noticed though, that it sometimes gets really good reception with +HSPA, but then it switches to 3G, and the reception dives to < 100 dBm (most often unusable). It does the same when roaming on the 2G-net - sometimes good reception, but most often really bad.
I have flashed different basebands, but didn't help, so I expect it to be a hardware issue. Does anybody have any idea, what it could be? I can fix most things myself, as long as I know what the issue is and where to get the spare part.
Thanks in advance!
Okay. So I haven't actually been using 4G a lot, but I got around to testing it yesterday. It seems 4G isn't affected by the problem, since it holds a 4G service really well. But as soon as it switches to 3G/+H, the reception drops dramatically.
Same problem here. I have tried many ROMs but the problem isn't solved. Now I am trying to flash .img files one by one and I will tell you how it goes a few days later.
...
Hello again,
After flashing all .img files one by one it still didn't work. The problem was that the previous owner of this phone had the IMEI changed. So I found a guy to recover its original IMEI and now it's all fine.
