[ROM] porting joyos 1.2.2 for Huawei U8150-D - Miscellaneous Android Development

first of all a big thanks to Frank_K for having solved a big mistake xD
but we go to the rom .... I tried a port of joyos 1.2.2 and seems to have succeeded xD but there are some things to say before you install it:
-rom is almost completely in English
-the camera will only work for a few seconds
-the keyboard is too big and will need to download one from playstore to replace it (I recommend go keyboard with the theme iphone )
-I replaced the default browser with espier browser (safari style)
-if you do not see the notification bar to start a few seconds and appears not worry xD

INSTALLATION GUIDE:
Root your phone. If already rooted, proceed to the next step.(How to root or unroot Galaxy Y-click here)
Make sure that you're on Stock kernel. Stock = Factory version ( The kernel that came while buying the phone). If you haven't changed kernel, ignore this warning.
If your'e NOT on Stock kernel, either flash stock kernel, or open the JELLYBLASTV3.signed.zip on your pc, delete boot.img from it, and then flash the zip. In that way, you'll be able to use ANY kernel you already have.However,it is always advisable to start from stock in order to eliminate any possible runtime errors.
Remove a2sd or data2sd and format your 2nd partition if you have it.
Place the above file to your sd card (NOT IN ANY FOLDER!!!)
Switch off your phone.
Go to Clockwork mode. If you don't know what is CWM, click here. This is important, because CWM is necessary, or you won't be able to boot up with the new Kernel. Use the CWM I have given above, for best results.
Use the volume keys to move up and down.
Wipe data and cache and Dalvik cache.
Now choose: Install zip from sd card.
Choose JELLYBLAST V3.signed.zip
Choose "yes"
It will be Installed. Now reboot your phone. First boot will take time. Be patient.
If you have followed EVERYTHING above carefully, you will soon boot up to your new rom.
Please wait until media scanning is completed.

KERNEL DETAILS:
JBV3 uses KURO KERNEL , known best for its extreme battery saving capabilities and stabilities. However, you might want more speed, and might even want to OVERCLOCK your device upto 1.2 GHz.
For that, you can use MERRUK KERNEL 2.5. It is faster, and has overclock support upto 1.2 GHz. However, please also notice that Merruk kernel is still in PRE-Final stage, and hence, it is for Advanced users.
Follow the steps below to install Merruk kernel.

This wil update your ROM to the latest version. Keep yourself updated! (Those who are on PERMANENT CWM, flash the update from sdcard/OTAUpdater/Downloads. For others, the OTA will be flashed automatically.)

PORTING:
Want to port this ROM to another device? Well these are some simple rules and tips to get you started:
RULES:
Name of the ROM should be JELLYBLAST.
You should PM me before doing this.
You can port this to ANY other device except GALAXY Y, because I've done it!
You should mention my name, with a link to this page.
Please take care that there should not be two JELLYBLAST roms for the same device. If you think you can improve on someone else's work, kindly talk to him via PM, and make a team.
If you have done some remarkable improvements on this ROM, please tell me, so that I can also add them.
Please adhere to rules.
TIPS:
This ROM is readily compatible ( with a few modifications ) on all SAMSUNG brodcom devices, like Galaxy ACE plus, Galaxy Pop Plus, Galaxy Mini 2, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Y pro and DUOS ( but need lots of smali changes).
The kernel included in this ROM is for Galaxy Y only. So, make sure that you have removed or replaced boot.img and bmlunlock from ROM before porting.
Also, change the updater script, so that it only installs the ROM, not the Kernel.
The FM rado in the ROM only works at 120 resolution. So, replace it with the fm radio apk of your device before setting the correct resolution.
Figure out other changes by yourself!

Root your phone. If already rooted, proceed to the next step.
Place the three files below to your sd card (NOT IN ANY FOLDER!!!)
Switch off your phone.
Go to recovery mode by pressing power button + Volume up + Home button
Use the volume keys to move up and down.
Wipe data and cache.
Now choose: Install zip from sd card.
Choose NextToICSV1.signed.zip
Choose "yes"
It will be Installed. Now reboot your phone.
Please wait until media scanning is completed.
Now again switch off and go to recovery mode. DON'T WIPE DATA ANYMORE
Choose NextToICS Bootanimationfix.zip
Again reboot.
Again go to recovery mode. Choose NextToICSROM status toggle zip and reboot.
And voila!!!! We're done!!!!!!!!!

Version 1.0:
Problem 1:
Some users find that the Swype is force closing, and the absence of gallery and music in App drawer.
If you face this problem, here is what you can do:
1. Using root explorer, delete Swype.apk from System/app (or) uninstall swype using link2sd.
2. Try looking for play music and gallery ics apk in system /app. If present MOVE them to SD card using root explorer. Tap rw at the top to move.
3. Reboot.
4. Install the following attached apk's in the post: SwypeICS.apk, and GalleryICS.apk, Google play music. apk or from the apks which you just moved to your SD card. For better performance of play music, again move the apk to System /app...and set permissions to rwrr. (Tick the first two boxes in the first row and the 1st box in the other two rows) and reboot.
5.Enjoy.
Problem 2:
ICS Gallery is not working on my phone.
Solution:Have you done it properly? Try again. I've fixed the link. Still if it doesn't work, I'm afraid you will have to install the old Gingerbread Gallery. Copy and paste gallery3D.apk from attachments into System/app using root explorer, set permissions to rwrr and reboot.
Problem 3:
Status Bar does not appear.
Solution: Re Install the ROM from beginning. It happened because the flashing was not done properly.
Version 2.0:
Problem 1:
Cannot recieve sms, but can send it.
Solution: Install the mms fix.zip given in the downloads section of 2.0..
UPDATE: 15/08/12 : CWM flashable MMS.ZIP...it will give you back the ICS themed stock apk, which works perfectly, but not totally like Jelly bean: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?kl396sxlg300igr
OR
If it doesn't work for you, I'm afraid you'll have to go back to the old mms.apk. Copy and paste mms.apk from attachments into System/app using root explorer, set permissions to rwrr and reboot.

HOW TO USE CWM:
Go to stock recovery and flash this : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?4g96fxq7zclonx8 or this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/58284539/CWM_bla_bla.zip
Now you are in CWM mode. Now, in this mode, install the zip file you want...
Repeat this process every time you want to flash a file in cwm.
HOW TO GO TO STOCK RECOVERY:
Switch off your phone. Now press Power button + Home button + Volume Up button until you see the Galaxy Y logo.
Next, choose update zip from SD card and choose the CWM zip file you have downloaded above and kept in your SD card ( not in any folder).
Choose the GTS5360-cwm.zip.
Now you are in CWM mode.
NANDROID RECOVERY:
The above two CWM's are reported to have failed while restoring nandroid. You can use CWM by MADTEAM for Nandroid.

Long press home button, go to the third tab, and press clear ram. For freeing up internal memory, go to link2sd, press options, then tap more, then tap clean up the dalvik cache!!!! Unbelievable!! Good luck!!

This ROM is awesome
but i have problem i cant install this rom because i dont know how to flash a stock rom
but the status bar is awesome the one thread called "S3 Status Br Mod System UI" didn't release the v1.5 and v2.0 and i stuck at v1.0
can you create status bar of your rom a flashable zip of it?

Guys, I opened a thread for a custom kernel supporting CWM, fully builded from scratch: Galaxy Pocket KERNEL & CWM.
I spent lot of time to make it perfect to build along with CM7 sources.
What does it mean?
You now have a fully opened source for your phone and I'm working for the first rom builded from scratch: CyanogenMod7.
Hope to give you some news soon.

-Installation-
1.- Wipe data / factory reset (mandatory if you coming from STOCK OR 4.2.X version or another ROM)
2.- Install the Main ROM
3- install gapps
4.- When you're back on recovery go to Advanced
5.- Wipe Dalvik Cache
6.- Fix Permissions
7.- Wipe Cache Partition
8.- Reboot
IMPORTANT: If you come from another ROM, have some issues or want a really clean installation then follow the 'Extended steps to install the ROM' featured on the General FAQ

⊗ General Information ⊗
« Extended steps to install the ROM
The steps on the OP are very clear but apparently some users can't get a properly installation so, here are the extended steps for the installation (personally i'm always use this method and never experienced any problem with RR):
Before of start please remember: If you have / wanna do a Titanium Backup the only safe things to restore when you flash a new version or the ROM are the non-system stuff and the user apps, the non-system stuff are write in Green text, but just restore the data not the app (Examples: SMS - APN - Bookmarks - Alarms). About the user apps, write on White text, you can restore the app+data. Never restore the system stuff, write in Red text, this can cause FC's and other bad behavior.
After finish your restore reboot the phone.
Another recordatory: It's recommended before of flash any ROM, made a backup of your EFS folder, this folder contains information about the IMEI, MAC, and other sensitive stuff of your phone, the suggestion it's use EFSPro or you can use KTool, remember that it's not enough with a copy/paste from the original folder. Now, the steps:
NOTE 02/10: If you want a really clean installation, check this tip provided by @THE RED BLUR
Reboot into recovery (Turn off your phone then press and hold the keys: Volume Up + Power + Home)
Wipe Data / Factory Reset
Install the Main ROM file
In AROMA installer select "Custom Installation"
Choose depending of your taste
When AROMA installer finish untick the "Reboot Now" option
When you're back on the recovery go to Advanced
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Fix Permissions
Wipe Cache Partition
Reboot
When you get the step for add your Google Account, if you don't have a WiFi enabled or you can' add it, skip it
When you boot into the system, it's probably that you don't have data enabled (3g, H+) just reboot the phone
When you boot again into the system, the data will be enabled and you can do the configuration of Google Account (if you don't do this step before)
This is the moment for install all the extras like themes, mods, fixes, kernels, etc.

Of course that it's not everything, the kernel have a lot of "guilty" in this issue, after read the feedback of the users personally i think that the top for better battery is:
CM10 Kernel
DarkKnight Kernel
Dorimanx Kernel
Fluxi Kernel
Siyah Kernel
There are more kernels of course but, again, this it's my top five based on the feedback. Also, this is very subjective, all depends of the customization that you made over the kernel and the most important, every phone and installations are different so, everyone have different results.

« ¿Where are the Call Recording?
Unfortunately Call Recording, until now, can't be ported to AOKP, but are alternatives, you can use the app Personal Call and Voice Recorder
« ¿Where are the Radio FM?
Resurrection Remix since the v1.2 it's based on AOKP and the radio can't be included, the most used option it's Spirit FM app, you can buy it on the Play Store or visit the original post of his creator here.
« ¿Where are the files of my External SD?
On Jelly Bean the external sd it's on the path /sdcard1, there are your files. You can access to this folder with any file explorer (even the stock one). Just open the file manager, select the "mnt" option on the top, the one between the Home icon and SD icon, inside you can find the /sdcard1 folder.
« The lights of capacitive buttons (Menu and Back) doesn't work properly ¿What can i do?
You can adjust the behavior if you are using any kernel compatible with the "BLN" function and the correspondant tweaker like: Siyah, Dorimanx or Dream-IRC Kernels + ExTweaks app or Fluxxi Kernel + xxTweaker.
« The vibration intensity for pulsations it's too high ¿How can reduce that?
By default it's not possible but, if you are user of Siyah, Dorimanx or Dream-IRC Kernels then you could reduce that via ExTweaks and, if you are using Fluxxi Kernel you can tweak this via xxTweaker app.
Please remember, ExTweaks only works with Siyah, Dorimanx and Dream-IRC Kernels
« My signal it's not the best / not work at all ¿What can i do?
Change your modem, you have several options here, here or here.
Just remember give it at least 2 days to settle down, then you can judge his performance.
« My status bar clock frezze it ¿What can i do?
Check this post, this is a very weird issue and that it's the most used solution.
« I have duplicates on the files for my music and images ¿What can i do?
Follow this or this posts.
« ¿How can i change the bootanimation?
First of all, i know that are many apps on Play Store that let us make this change but, in the same way that with DPI i prefer make the changes manually always that it's possible so, here are the steps:
Make a backup of the original Bootanimation located on the path /system/media the file it's called bootanimation.zip
Download the animation that you want, on the Mirrors Index we can have some animations made by the users of RR.
Rename the file that you download to bootanimation.zip (in case that the name be different)
Copy the bootanimation.zip to your SD card
Copy the file to the path /system/media, this process need to be made with some file explorer that let you change the permissions from 'Read Only' to 'Read and Write', personally i'm always working with Root Explorer (paid) but if you want, you can use ES File Explorer (free)
Replace the original bootanimation.zip with the one that you download
Reboot and enjoy
Also, in some of the bootanimations featured on the Mirrors Index i make flashable files through recovery so, this is another option to avoid the manual steps.

There no are a default setting to make this change, but you can do it with the combo of ROM Toolbox and Font Installer
If that apps don't work for you, then try the following steps (Steps only for ICS versions):

Just create a file named .nobootlogo in the 'root' of your SD Card with some file explorer like 'ES file explorer' or 'Root Explorer' Thanks to Pigmachine for the tip.

AOKP don't support this kind of notifications, but you have some alternatives:
1.- If you are using Go Launcher you can install their app Go Launcher EX Notification
2.- I know that it's not the same but you can activate the notification count on the status bar from Settings - R-ROM Control - Statusbar - General - Show Notification Count

Depends of your taste, both roms are good roms, just try and decide which is better for you. Only 1 thing to Keep in mind,this rom is based on a9 and Carbon, till now, is based on a8.

This rom is very smooth no lags at all! I didnt get any sod. Lola where is the perfomance section i cant find it.

Guys! Its very good ive done sd swap through terminal emulator but But I cant see how to enable navigation bar? The settings for navbar is there but no opotion to enable and disable it under remix tool Thanks for the reply!

Requirements :
1) CWM or TWRP:angel: recovery installed..
2) Any file manager to extract zip file...
3) Patience...
Steps for installation:
For CWM 6 users:-
1) Download the zip file from the download link provided below...
2) Extract the downloaded zip file using any file manager....
3) You will find two zip files inside it,, first one is ROM zip and another is addons zip...
4) Copy both the zip files two your SDcard .
5) Go to CWM Recovery(Press Vol. Up Power Button)
6) Wipe cache partitions
7) Wipe Factory/Data Reset
8) Format System(Mounts And Storage>Scroll Down>Format System)
9) Format Dalvik Cache(Advanced>Dalvik Cache)
10) After Wiping and Formating,
Go back at the first page of the CWM recovery and choose install .zip from SDcard
11) Choose ROM.zip and wait for complete installation
12)Then reboot and wait for 5 to 10 minutes
13) Then again go to recovery mod and flash the addon zip...
14) That's it ..now reboot your phone ....now fly with sparrow
For TWRP recovery users:-
1) Download the zip file from the download link provided below...
2) Extract the downloaded zip file using any file manager....

11) Then Choose ROM.zip and flash it
12) Then reboot your phone and wait for 5 to 10 minutes
13 ) After the phone is switched on properly again go to recovery mod and flash the addon zip...
14) That's it ..now reboot your phone ....now fly with sparrow
Caution ::
Do not flash the addon zip just after installing ROM .... A reboot is necessory after installing ROM and after a reboot then flash addon zip.. Also don't do any factory reset after installing both rom and addon zip.

Hay guys I have provided an apk named Xblast tools in the zip file.... Xblast tools is an amazing xposed module which is the best alternative to gravity box which is made only for JB... Following are the tested features of Xblast tools which can be used in flying sparrow..
1) Advanced reboot menu
2) Net speed on statusbar
3) Add build prop tweaks
4) Four way rotation
5) Sidebar
CAUTION: Do not use CRT off effect... because it is buggy
Other features you can check yourself... But before doing anything don't forget to take nandroid backup...
Now steps for installation:
1) Click on xposed installer And click on framework
2) Firstly set the installation method ...
Method no.3 which is creat a flashable zip and click install and please note down the path of xposed installer enabler zip and install xposed installer enabler zip using recovery manually
3) Now click Xblast tools and select the required features..
4) Click on xposed installer and click modules..and tick the Xblast tools
5) Now reboot your phone and see the effect
6) If somehow Xblast tools module is not activated.. Just click on xposed installer and click modules and firstly remove the tick and again add the tick.. and reboot..
7) That's it..

Multi window with sidebar for Flying Sparrow
Announcement: Halo floating window can slow down the speed of your phone , as it consume a lots of ram... So use this only if speed is not your first priority...
Steps for installation:
1) Firstly download the halo floating window apk I have provided as an attachment
2) Now install it and open it and enable the moving and resizing settings..
3) Now go to launcher and click Xblast tools
4) Now click appbar and enable it and add the content to it..and also enable the halo mod
5) Now go to xposed installer and click module and tick both Xblast tools and halo floating window..
6) Now reboot your phone..
7) Now just click on the left edge of your phone's screen ,, now appbar will appear .. when you click on any app present in appbar it will open in floating window...
Caution : Halo floating window is in beta state right now and also I am not the developer of it... So if any problem occur I am not able to solve it.. so please be careful...

No this rom will not work on Micromax a91... Because this rom is based on the stock rom of Micromax a89.. hence specially made for a89...

Yes for sure replace your boot and modem.img with the ones in the rom's zip

1% Battery Mod
Thanks for this cool ROM, I am using it and its very fast. Only issue is battery drains fast. Have you used 1% Battery mod?

1% Battery mod is already a part of og bettery mods , which are used in flying sparrow.... I will try to solve this problem.... Any futher suggetions regarding this matter ,you are free to post....:angel:

I you are using flying sparrow v2.0 ,then uninstall the avg mobile scurity using titanium backup or any other tool... That is the main reason of draining battery...

thanks for init pack ...going to test it..., and sir one more thing in flying sparrow users does'nt able to access boot img directly as a normal img file..

Solution 1:
Gotta follow some steps
1)Clear Data/Cache of GooglePlayStore/GoogleServicesFramework and many more google ****ts
2)Download the latest playstore from here Here
3)Install it
4)Reboot to recovery and do a wipe dalvik cache
Solution 2:
try wiping the whole system/data/cache/android secure/sd ext, flash the rom, upgrade playstore from Here , then add account and try that
Solution 3:
try cache fixer

Installation:
Same as cm7 bielt.v ( Check This Link )
here it is:
NOTE: if you are on an EXT4 ROM jump to step 5. If you don't know, flash stock ROM and follow ALL the steps.
1 (RECOMMENDED) Be on a stock ROM, installation will be cleaner, otherwise corruptions may occur, DONT CALL THEM AS ROM BUG
2 Download THIS>>( Link ) EXT4 tool, the Kernel Kernel Link and the Lollipop ME ROM on your device. (From Download Section)
3 Flash on Samsung recovery (or your recovery if you are not on stock), bielt.v 's temp. CWM. Link
4 When you are on the Temp. CWM, flash the EXT4 Formatter tool, so whole system will be converted to EXT4. (Stock filesystem is RFS)
5 After the installation, flash bielt.v 's kernel you have downloaded before.
6 When the Kernel is installed, go, on the CWM, to advanced --> reboot recovery (this will reboot the device, and turn it on on the new CWM of kernel)
7 Wipe data, cache and dalvik
8 (IMPORTANT) Go to mounts and storage, and Make sure system is mounted (will show unmounted) mount it 2 times or more! Otherwise ZIP wont flash, Every time you flash a ZIP, U need to do this
9 Go to install zip from SD Card, choose zip from SD card and install your ROM(from downloads section) (MAKE SURE installation last more than 5 seconds, if is less than 5 seconds, your system is unmounted! repeat step 8 ).
10 After installation, go back and reboot system, if you made it good, ROM boots, so no problem on it.
11 Go to settings>System>Interface>Notification Power widget>Untick the power widget option
Bielt.v's kernel has a "bug", if you don't mount twice before installing, ZIP file won't be installed! Make sure every time you mount system properly!

Installing LollipopMe Patch:
After installing the ROM and wait till it boots, reboot to recovery
Then mount everything, mount system 3-4 times, (then everything will show as unmount)
Then install LollipopMePatch.zip , reboot and voila everything will be fixed
(Those who were previously in Lollipop ME and while installing this mango update having random boot issues, kindly look here >> post link )

Neat work man, so here are a few problems I encountered-
I didn't get a white background in the app drawer
Can't install apps from the play store, keeps giving an error
And the white text on white bg is also there in titanium backup
FM radio not working
Screen rotating animation not working

ummm here you need to know some things
1) FM Radio is the common bug of cm7 by bielt.v , as I ported this ROM using his sources, some say SpiritFM works, but I couldnt make it
2)Upgrade your playstore, mine is working perfectly after upgrading playstore, do a playstore data/cache wipe from settings , do same for googleservicesframework
3)For white background, (Tap menu button in homescreen) go to Launcher settings>Backup And Restore>Restore settings>Select CD-White-menu.bak , hope that will work
4)Okay, I didnt notice the rotation animation cause I always disable it, cause I dont like it lol, yet I ll check this thing
5)And Titanium Backup! Yeah thats a problem cause of framework, I mentioned in thread that some apps will always give ya problem like white on white, unfortunately, maybe we wont able to fix it, cause we are on a GB ROM , I hope we got it what I meant

Not at all my friend! Go to Adjustes>Idioma y entrada de texto>Seleccionar idioma>(Select English) and voila its done!
Now whats the problem there will be still some spanish language some places like in settings and status bar, I ve already fixed status bar , didnt publish yet, will change soon other spanish languages in settings too (currently having problem to decompile settings.apk ) stay connected

I still can't download apps from play, get an error saying error while retrieving data from server, tried all d sol online and still can't get it to work. I think it is a problem with d rom. please advice

Im pretty sure you didnt use it cause im using it more than a month and found almost no problems at all! problems are at buglist, feel free to report other bugs, thanks for responding, I just didnt change the status from BETA to STABLE cause I want peoples to report
