Since the storage on Nexus 7 is so low, I was hoping I could store stuff on my Galaxy S3 and stream videos from the cellphone's memory to the Nexus 7.
Is it possible to do this through Bluetooth/Wifi without using the internet and what would be the best apps available to do this?
Thanks.

hope the title can describe what i am trying to figure out....
My current setup is this:
1. My windows machine and mac both have plex installed.
2. I can use my iphone with the plex app to airplay media from my computer straight to my apple tv, i dont need to have anything synced directly to my iphone's internal storage. It just uses the stream from the iPhone and computer
I am getting rid of my iPhone to get an android phone, but i want to keep this capability...
any suggestions?

anything based on ITunes or apple software is a pita to make work on android.
hi, just buy a cheap ipod touch 4g and use that it has the same capabilities and you will then be able to buy a high end android phone without any drawbacks
If you want to stream from android to apple tv there is an app that does so. Check http://9to5mac.com/2011/05/09/android-can-now-airplay-to-ios-devices/ for review.

Is it possible to use the big screens(monitor/TV) for display instead of 4"inches phone's screen. And no androidscreencast plz. it is 4-5fps. Is there some moethod withe descent fps and quality.
Is there any special cable available. Wireless would be better. Please advice. I am ready to root or install new ROM or buy new accessories what ever necessary.
I want to play games, browse photos, videos or web, in big screen using this HTC incredible S phone.
Your phone doesn't have the required hardware to reroute its display through cables to an external display. Some phones (for instance the Galaxy S) can do this, but it is still a relatively rare feature. You CAN wirelessly watch videos/browse photos on wifi-enabled media displays. Use "Skifta" from the Android market. Sadly it won't work for games or web browsing.
What about this? droid vnc server for android available in android market.
has anyone tried this? how is refresh rate? does this work properly with HTC incredible S, any ROM after root?
Also suggest me best vnc client for windows7 to use with this droid vnc server with download link.
Hello everyone !
I am currently looking for the best way to stream my 300+ gigs of music from my tablet and I am looking for the best and easiest way to do it.
What I have right now as devices are
a Laptop (which is were the music is right now)
a Ps3
No External drives yet
My Galaxy Tab 2
I was thinking of maybe buying an external HDD with a kind of bluetooth / DLNA connectivity to host the mp3
since the laptop isnt at home/open all the time when I wanna grab my tablet.
I Also thought about Cloud storage... But im not sure I could host 300+ gigs of mp3 free on the net... and if possible I dont wanna waste too much internet data.
So at the end I thought I would just ask the pros.
Thanks a lot guys !!

A hard disk will be a good idea...also if u dunno wanna but a HD with bluetooth or dlna u can check tab 2 accessories section for HDs that tab 2 support via OTG cable...
(is there is no thread than u can make one asking suggetions for supported models)
and if u get no reply go and but a dlna/bluetooth one it will be best one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I use very easy and dirty solution -> enable FTP server on my PC...
and all other android/windows device, stream via FTP, or download for a temporary
I have a small VPN servers (mikrotik) , and I connect via VPN if I am outside my own wifi...
cons: in samsung music player, you can't minimize the player when streaming. on xperia walkman, you can minimize the walkman without stopping your music
ooooh interresting ima look more into that !
Thanks a lot for the info !
Hi all,
I store a lot of videos (mkv) on my phone and watch them on my way to work. However once at home I would like to watch them on my tablet (both devices Android - Samsung Note 3 and Samsung Tab S).
Is it possible and what software should I use.
Thanks,
Nothing....... not possible or am I just being ignored?

i haven't heard about this ,but i guess you can try .
why you don't use wireless signal on your tablet ,just
speed the video to the time you watched .
Have you considered trying Samsung Link? It should come pre-installed. http://techlife.samsung.com/share-content-samsung-1353.html
Hello, so I'm looking for a way to play/stream music from my computer hard drive to my Android phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 plus) when I'm away from home, with 4G connection...
I'm using a music player app which can play music from my phone internal storage as well as my PC (windows 7) shared folders but only on LAN with WIFI, but is there a way to do so on long distance ?
Desktop sharing/Remote control (like teamviewer...) seems to do so, but I tried some and it was suffering from many audio lag/stutter, maybe data transfer problems, probably because it was dealing with video transfer at the same time (which is something I don't care at all, I just want to access my huge mp3 collection on my hard drive)
Thanks for any suggestions !
Let's hope there is a way :cyclops:
