Gingerbread Easter Egg - Samsung Infuse 4G

Is there a way to extract it? I want it for a boot up screen... hahaha
Just go to about phone | tap on android version. Then hold down on the ice cream sandwich man and they start flying.......

There are several pieces that go into it. Ranging from from animations & images in framework-res, systemUI, and pretty sure I've seen pieces elsewhere too.
If anything you could find an app that records the phone screen like system tuner & and let it play for a while, save and go from there

[Q] Ice Cream Sandwhich Launcher Keeps FC

Okay, so I'm running Sky Ice Cream Sandwhich and I have done everything correctly I believe. Every once in a while, Ice Cream Sandwhich launcher would FC and sort of put me in this annoying loop that would bring me back to what I was doing before. It's not that big of a deal but I really like the launcher and want to continue using it.
I upgraded the launcher to version 4 (or 1.4, whichever it is) because I prefer that look instead of the previous version (the black bar at the bottom looks very ugly to me and throws off everything).
Is there a way to stop the launcher from force closing?
go to setting manage application and clear data.
if you still have fcs uninstall and install it again.

Blackout ICS feedback

Well I'm tired it's really hard to send feedback in this forum... I know it might be a mess with all the newbies postin' everywhere, but maybe it wouldn't be so if we wouldn't have all this access limitations n' requirements to post, specially that stupid image verification, it's really annoying! so, if any moderator can post this in the appropiate place thnx, if not, well I don't care.
I tried this ROM ([ROM][Aug14 2012] Blackout ICS Incredible v3.0.0 FULLY WORKING!!! [4.0.4][Sense 3.6]) n' I found some issues:
1.- I use Go Launcher n' when I need to go to the device settings the device gets locked as if I've made a restart, so I have to draw my pattern, see weather animations n' that... it happened also workin' on another apps, not just the launcher.
2.- when I play Asphalt 6 the device can't play the intro video n' through the game I can see some guide lines from a corner touching the edges of the car n' behind it when I use the nitro, that game is great, so it's a shame to have that bug.
3.- sometimes appears another bug in the upper left corner the screen image gets cut n' slip down.
I appreciate the work of all developpers it's amazing to have a smooth rom but smoothness is just nice I think that you shall care about fix some apps compatibility too, after all that's the best part of the phone... n' I know there are thousands, but the most popular might be a good start.

encryption fail...
I need help!! I first put my phone in debug mode. then i ran runme.bat file. then i pressed 1 for normal. then it finds the phone. goes through the steps. then asks me to click restore. then the phone comes up and asks for an encryption password. WHAT DO I PUT HERE? my phone isn't encrypted. I tried it both by putting in some random password and putting in nothing, mount failed. Program says succsesful. reboots phone. I have no root. i have ice cream sandwich 4.0.4. I followed maverick950 instructions. will someone please help me with this.
Is your USB connection set to Ethernet/Modem? I think it might be set to mass storage, at least that is what the mounting notice leads me to believe.

Hi solidsnake. Thanks for your reply. I am the previous poster's mother and have been trying to help him root his Lucid. He has tried setting the USB connection to both Modem and Ethernet. They both yielded the same results.
Any other ideas?

I am not sure, I did not see it when I upgraded my phone. Is the usb connection set to "ask each time" or something like that?

OK I found the issue, when you run the bat file, you need to select 2 for special mode. Apparently normal mode is only for specific phones.

I don't think the device is popular enough for the regular devs to take an interest in it.
I got the lucid for my wife rooted and googled cwm for and found that it has one available. Sadly every attempt has failed. Any ideas on this?

Unfortunately this device has a locked bootloader meaning if you modify the system mount in any way, it will go into a boot loop. I wouldn't hold your breath for a rom or unlocked bootloader any time soon, unless I can get my hands on an extra Lucid.

Will freezing/disabling the bloatware send my lucid into a security/brick mode?
Also, will installing cwm recovery do any harm?
Love the posts, and offered assistance.
rom toolbox pro
After further investigation, and a great amount of nail biting trial, I have determined that as long as it is not a critical app used for the operation of the device, just about any app can be frozen using rom toolbox pro, and not affect the operation of the device. If any others are wondering, I am posting this to help out, as there is not much resource for the development or use of our chosen device.
lg lucid recovery mode

I've tried this option but it just gave a factory reset option. Any other ways I can unlock the LG Lucid ICS bootloader?
Rollback to gb. Then root, install Cwm, and flash cm10. It is amazing. I couldn't imagine going back to stock ics
-------------
I am a dishonest man, and you can always honestly trust a dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly it's the honest ones you have to watch out for.
Just wondering if the root for the Lucid is the same as that for the Optimus Exceed, which is apparently the prepaid version. The model numbers are the same even - VS840 and VS840PP.

Nexus on screen system/hard buttons

Is there anyway to get the nexus on screen home menu and back buttons? I have cm10 ROM lg thrive.
Sent from my LG-P506 using xda app-developers app
AOKP is capable of doing that, it's under "navigation bar" in rom control in settings. I don't think cm10 has that though.
Is there maybe a flash able zip mod?
Sent from my LG-P506 using xda app-developers app
ok, since programming is usually logical, i appealed to LOGOS or logic in greek.
well. if you take apart the system UI .apk, and create an xml res file for the buttons, and then use java to insert a settings on/off button, it could work. then all you would have to do is install the modded apk. i could do that but in in 12th grade loaded with a year long project of making an android launcher. but i could potentially do this with some help and tips from others.
if anyone is interested here are the steps to doing this.
decompile the system ui .apk
add the visual layout (image files) to res folder
create them in the xml layout, so that it know where to place these buttons
create a class or do this within a class, and add an if/then statement of on/off, so people could turn it off at will.
give it system permissions. ROOT hehe.
optional: add custom ability, to change glow color and etc.
ill give a million thanks clicks to whom ever does this asap, and im sure the lg optimus one, lg thrive community will love you for freaking ever.
thanx.
