[Q] Is it possible to flash to Verizon from Sprint? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have spent the last 5 Hours reading everywhere and I may have actually read the answer but wasn't able to understand it because I don't know the terminology. If anyone can answer this question for me I would greatly appreciate it. I actually love this site and how knowledgeable and kind the people are on here. Thank you and if there is already a post on this, give me the link and I will take this down. Also, if anyone has any knowledge on how to do it, PM me. Though just knowing its possible helps a lot. Thanks. If I'm missing any information you need, ask.

Not without cloning an ESN from a Verizon phone and since that's illegal it can't be discussed here.

Is there any possible way it can be discussed somewhere else? Thank you for answering my question though.
[EDIT]
Also does it change anything if I have a contract with Verizon? I mean all I wanna do is move my number over to this phone because my old one is busted. If I were to take it to the store, would they be able to do something?

To begin if you dont already, You need a sprint donor Phone that has been activated on sprint first. Like an sanyo innuendo.

Question about AT&T Quickfire

Hello all,
I've been reading these forums for a while, as I have a Tilt, but this is my first time posting, so I don't know if this is in the right place. Please move it to the appropriate location if it isn't.
My girlfriend just got a Quickfire, and I was wondering if there is anyway to mod it. I know it's not a PDA phone like the HTC phones, but I assume there is some way to flash the rom or something. I know it's early on, so there's nothing really on this topic. But if someone could tell me if it's even possible, that'd be great. And if there is a way, but this site isn't the place to look for that info, please tell me another site I could look at.
I apologize again if this is in the wrong place, or if my questions are goofy/unclear. Thanks in advance.
what os does the quickfire run anyway?
Its more of a feature phone than a smartphone, so I think that you are pretty much out of luck. I also saw somewhere that they were recalled b/c of a big bug. I'm sure Google can find it. The article I saw was that at&t stores were taking them back and giving you a free samsung propel in exchange. Kinda cool of them to do that for you...

[Q] ESN?????

This is my first time starting a thread so plz be easy on me, I've seen how out of control some people get around here. So first of all I do a lot of phone searching on craiglist and find a lot of phones that have bad esn. Can someone plz explain to me how a esn goes bad cause I'm a little dumb founded on that. Second I was looking at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=784860, now for my understanding and correct me if I'm wrong but if u would go to those lenghts of "wanting" to change ur esn (which I know is ILLEGAL by the way) aren't u better off just getting a brand spanking new phone. Once again take it easy on me, I looked around but can't find the response that I want to hear. If any of these questions have been answered before on this forum and I just didn't notice plz just tell me and redirect me with a link.
-Thanks ahead of time.
Well a devices esn becomes bad if it either stolen or lost. Meaning the owner calls the carrier. The carrier then marks then marks the phone in their database. Excuse me if I'm wrong. Not sure if it can be restored but you could flash some to simple or metro.

Real Talk... 4G LTE Flashing (Page Plus, Etc)

So, I've created a thread on LTE flashing before but this time it's going to be different I hope. I have browsed to the ends of the internet and beyond yet still cannot find any answers. It is crucial for my business that I learn everything about LTE flashing. Therefore, I am willing to pay someone to teach me how it's done. Rather, I want to hire a "tutor". Someone who can tell me all about it, show me how it works, what software to use, what "tricks" are involved and the that tricky method to get by the SPC code. I understand you have to write it to the phone so that when you send that code it is the correct one. But again, I do not know.
This is, of course, assuming that XDA has no problem with this.
I would love some help....
Admins, with this being somewhat of an "odd" request I will understand if it must be moved to another section.

[Completed] [Q] Sprint Note 3 flashed to Boost Mobile ROM

Hello, i have a SM-N900P note 3 originally on sprint, now flashed to Boost Mobile. I bought it brand new. It has android version 4.4.2 and im wanting to update to Lollipop on either a official version, or unofficial....whichever more stable. I paid a person to flash it to boost and he did so remotely, ive attempted to contact him for information on his process but have not been responded to. It is rooted and has TWRP and a full nandroid back up.
Please help me, im scared to try flashing a rom then ruining the ''boost flash''.
I can attatch pictures from my About Device if safe and helpful.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Paying someone to alter your device has left you in a position where you have a modified phone but no knowledge on how it got to that state or how to proceed. I firmly believe that if you can't take the time to learn how to do these things for yourself then you shouldn't be doing them at all. Having a modified phone, and working with a modified phone, requires a certain level of knowledge, it requires research, it requires work. Now you can see that taking the easy way initially hasn't really benefited you in the long run. Anyway, you have a lot of learning to do, Samsung phones can be especially difficult to modify due to the way that they're locked down. You're going to need to head over to the Sprint Note 3 section and start doing as much reading as you can. I can't really point to one specific thread because there's so much information that you need to take in. If you get stuck though there's a q&a section that you can ask for help in. Here's a link to the Sprint Note 3 device forum:

Lol look man, I am very familiar with flashing stock Roms and custom roms. As well as most other device modifications. I reached out for advice in hopes of hearing someone's output that may have already done this type of procedure.with that being said,if I can afford to pay someone to do what I may simply not have TIME to do,then that's my prerogative. These forums are to help people, not to write a reply that is in no way helpful. Maybe you should be the one that needs to do more reading. ☺??
P.s.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 flashed to Boost Mobile and pay only $35 a month, I'd say I was very benefited. Lmfao ???? You mad bro? ???

You came here for help and yet you LOL at the help....
Sounds like you take your device back to the carrier and stay stock but you also stated you are familiar with flashing, and yet you are "scared".
And sounds like you should be doing the reading, after all you came here to ask, vice searching and reading for yourself. Nevertheless
Good Luck and Thread Closed.

Hello,
timmaaa pointed you in the right direction, and as he suggested you will get more help posting your question in the device specific forum.
XDA Assist is not a "Support" forum it is to guide new users to areas they can find the help they need.
Please post your question in the link above or the Sprint Note 3 Q&A section to get the answer/help you are looking for.
Thread closed.
Thanks for understanding,

Rooting my SM-G30V

Hello all!
New to the site and new to android (relatively speaking). For the last 7 years, I have been trapped with Apple and decided to pick up a 2nd line so I can get a rooted android phone. Should have done my research before hand and I will definitely know for next time but after hours of trying to root my S7, found out.... I need to unlock bootloader. Great! Start searching around and I am reading conflicting posts and forums. Some say you can others say you can't. I have seen a post here from about 5 months ago saying it is now possible, however, they provided no information on how to do it. Please excuse my noobness but this is my first attempt at rooting. This phone is a junk phone mainly used for me to screw around with as my real personal phone is still my apple. Can anyone provide help? Is it possible? If so, what steps or anyone have any guides I can go follow? Links and or information would be greatly appreciated!! Been trying all week with no luck.
Is it possible... kind of but its shouldn't be your daily, should you do it based on your noobness... no.

Never said this was my daily please read again as this is a junk phone for me to destroy and screw around with. I am a developer so just because I am a noob doesn't mean I am technologically illiterate either This just is something I never looked into before since I have had an apple phone for my personal usage for the last 7 years and it was something I have never been interested in doing until recently. I actually bought this phone with the intention of rooting, however I didn't do my homework as I thought pretty much any android would be able to be rooted.
Thank you for your time to reply though but I did find the thread as it was in a different forum section and I will give that a try.
You my friend have can to the right place. Xda will be your main go to from this point on when it comes to your Android device related Intel needs.
Check this area of the site. It's directed to owners of the Verizon S7 Variant (G930V)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s7
You will find the info you need there to do what your looking for. Be sure that when u are flashing and messing with files that you get firwares/files that are for your particular model and also check build numbers and stuff like that. Do your research before making any attempts at something your unsure of. Ask questions. Community Members will be glad to help.
Have fun and be careful
