Hi all,
I am contemplating putting my NS up for sale. Not sure what I can sell it for though. Ebay is all over the map.
Here is what I have:
Unlocked Rooted ATT version I9020A, black color
Wall plug wire
Limited Edition back cover, real not knockoff.
Samsung windshield holder with 3' cigarette lighter wire
Samsung desktop with USB/wall plug wire.
Amzer soft cover
This is the NS that I list on my sig.
What should I ask for this package, and what should I settle on?
Thanks
Heeter

If even $200. Sorry to tell you, but with the Galaxy Nexus out, the Nexus S isn't really the hottest stuff on the block.
Thanks all,
Heeter
In Greece is still at the stores. You can buy ona 9023 (slcd) with 200 euros.
So i guess that a used 9020 (amoled) could be sold at 140 euros...

Koodo Mobile used to sell a NEW Nexus S (before it was discontinued) at $300, and their One V is currently selling for $175 outright.
With that in mind, even $200 is a little much. Maybe $150?
Hey just to be sure I didn't get screwed over.
Was my i9023 worth 260€ back in December? Do prices really drop so quickly?
I searched quite some time to find the cheapest one. It was also new and not used by someone else.
Cosmetic condition will influence the resale price. If you have a perfect screen with no scratches, and no scratches on the body, it should go for more. I wouldn't sell it for less than $150-$170, in decent condition, especially with the accessories/cover. Throw it on CL for $200, take some nice pics, write a thrilling ad, and see what happens.
... or keep it and use it as a dedicated "ipod/ipod touch".
Keep it and use it as a developers phone for porting roms

I see them all day long for around 100 bucks on CL. They are still great phones, but the the general public, they are outdated.

Yeah its pretty crazy how much our phones have dropped in price. I would say about 6 months ago when ICS came out they were easily selling on Craigslist for $300. Now people are lucky to sell em for $150-200. I wonder if we'll see an increase in price again when JB officially comes. People tend to want the "new thing".

Im really wanting a nexus, in order to get it I would need to sell my g2x. I was curious as to thoughts on pricing.
This phone has not had the reboot issues others have had. It has a slight scratch on the screen, but its only noticeable in direct sunlight. The bezel has a few dings in it. To be honest, its a great dependable phone that I hate to sell, but I want something that's better supported.
Any input on a price to sell it would be great.
Thanks.

if you can get 200 for it id say its a good sell... ive seen them on craigslist for as low as 150 but if you can get 200 id say you made out alright... at least you got out of what you invested in it
For a sale on XDA I'd start with $175.

I'm interested as well as pricing, I'm in Phoenix, AZ so the craigslist market is pretty good, and full of kids itching tto spend money. Mine is like the Guy's report stating no reboots and minor wear and tear. I'm putting mine up for 175$ cause people are going to low ball anyways. I'll be pretty happy with 150$ though, anything more is kinda hoping for too much.

I haven't gotten a phone on contract since the sidekick. So unfortunately I paid a bit more than 200. I hate being locked into overpriced plans. Prepaid is the way to go.
I was hoping between this and the g2 I have I would be able to get a nexus without adding any out of pocket money.. unemployment sucks, but I gotta feed my phone addiction. Lol.. looking like I might have to throw in some cash tho.

I tried selling my phone with case for $200 and then dropped it to190 but didn't get any hits. You'll definitely want to go lower (maybe $175 is a sweet spot for some people).
I tried putting my perfect condition G2x on craigslist for $200 with 3 cases, 2 extra batteries, and a 16 GB Micro SD, and I got lowballed like crazy. Most offers I got were around the $125 range (one guy even offered $90! ) I eventually got somebody to buy it for the $200, but it took a couple days.

Mint g2x should go for ~200$
Good condition ~150$
That's with minimal or no accessories, don't let those lowballs get you down

Sell on Ebay and start the bid at $1. You'll be surprised how quickly the bids come in.
Sold a bb tourch for $175 on there. And my old MT3G for about $140.

Ebay insertion fee (for items that start auction at $0.01–$0.99) = $0.10
Ebay Value Fee (This is ebay's fee after you sell the item) = 9% of the total value
Paypal fee = 2.9% + $0.30 PER TRANSACTION
Not to bad, I mean, I prefer this route instead of dealing with it privately when its for stuff like this of course.
I got $265 for mine but sold to a buddy of mine with a bunch of extra 2 extended batteries and one stock battery. one naked shield and case and charger.
I'm considering the possibility of moving from a nexus s to a skyrocket. What I'm wondering is, what would be a decent price to pay for a used device? If you could, give item two or three categories of quality(rough, decent, near mint) and a price range to accompany that. Thanks in advance.

Sweetspot would be 230-250 euro if its in mint condition anything over that would be a hit and miss might take too long to sell, but depends on your location and where you will advertise it.
Thanks for the info guys

I'll give you $40 Tax free! (that was a joke)
Looks like you'll get no more than $200 US for it if your lucky.
There is one on ebay right now with only a day left going for $10.
But if you want to sell.. Don't wait longer, they are not going to go up in price.
Good luck!
Looks like platinumtel got some white G2x's on their new bring your own device plan. Yeah, price honestly isn't worth it anymore but just a heads up if someone was looking to buy. Not sure if these are unlocked though.
https://www.platinumtel.com/phones
yeah no, 230 for g2x now lol......no freaking way. Galaxy nexus dont even worth 230 now.
That's funny. Cheapest a galaxy nexus is going for on swappa.com is 298.

White elephant.
Right now if you use the code PTEL25SD you can get 25% off. I dunno why you'd want to buy a G2x right now, but it's still pretty cheap for the power and the cheapest you can get it new, plus I have faith in Mazout360 and adampk with all the jellybean development, so it *might* turn out to be a good price if you're looking.
Looks nice and all, but $230 for a g2x?
No thanks.

I upgraded to a Samsung galaxy Sii, and now I want to sell my inspire. It has a cracked screen, but its only the top corner. It also has an otter box case, charger case, and another tpu case. What could I realistically get for it?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
I bought mine for 80 bucks but if you try to sell it to gazelle they'll try to tell you 25 and that's for a better condition phone...just keep the inspire, its not really a bad phone just a little outdated

Check how much they are sold on ebay and amazon, compare to your local dealers and sell it accordingly.

It should not really. The phone is over two years old, single core processor, and officially no support past GB. ICS has been out for some time and now JB is out on its second iteration already (4.1 then 4.2). All of this drives prices way down. This is simply the way technology depreciates. The same thing happens with laptops and desktops...regardless of how clean it is.
I would base my asking price off what they are going for on ebay.
