Does anyone recommend a sleeve to travel with the tablet and dock? I'm looking for a tight fit so that it doesn't take much space.
Since I live in The Netherlands I would appreciate one that is purchasable in Europe.
Nice protective sleeve/case
I bought this one, it's extremely cheap with free worldwide shipping. It looks good, and feels soft on the inside. It has a black texture just like the picture shows.

It's from dealextreme, I'm actually really happy with my purchase, all I need to know is if it fits nice. From looking at the specs it should fit, with the dock.

Nice, thank you. Though I do think it may look somewhat cheap.
I'll just try TranSleeve from Transformer TF201 on Monday.

No, it's only for the tablet itself, but I believe it is actually more convenient (a protecting case works fine for me when using both). Thought you might still be interested I've just got myself the TF201 TranSleeve and it's a really nice addition. Fits the Infinity like a charm. It is sth I actually need while having the dock disconnected. Otherwise the dock gives me similar "functionality" (protecting the screen and having the tablet work in various positions)
Here is the official webpage: http://www.asus.com/Peripherals_Acc...s/Eee_Pad_Transformer_Prime_TF201_TranSleeve/
Holding it feels really nice, I think ASUS made quite a good job with this one. There is a "Dual" version coming, which can cover the dock too, but I'm not sure if or when it is going to be available in Europe:

Depends on where you live. Should be around 40 USD each in the US. Not sure why, but I got mine in Poland for about half that (normally electronics and peripherals are somewhat more expensive here than in the US).
I bought this one; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006C64C6E/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
I don't have it yet, nor the infinity, but if the Prime and TF300 fit as well as they say then the TF700 should be fine. I don't know about availability in Europe. I should be receiving both items in the next couple of days.
I'll go with something out of these or similar. Already talked with this shop directly and they confirmed they can do custom size sleeve. Send them dimensions of infinity+dock and all is well.
Love the retro style :cyclops:
There are many more shops on etsy with ipad/imac/tablet sleves, covers, hoodies etc.
Not all are willing to create custom sizes.
Maybe, if Infinity goes really popular, they will include it as an option.
These linen sleeves look really nice. Had one of those for my laptop. Unfortunately some "cloth dust" (less than threads - many tiny pieces of linen) would stay on the screen and keyboard.

I found these on Amazon Germany:

they look really nice and if you google for the brand then there are some reports they are really good.
I'll give an review if I get one.
Or does somebody own one by any chance?
I have a black neoprene netbook sleeve i used on my og transformer. Fits the tablet with and without the dock. Maybe a little thicker than you're looking for, but offers some drop protection

I got myself the same, it's ok, no zippers and all, light and thin, but it does leave tiny bits of fibre on the device, not sure why, as this is an artificial material, perhaps it's just flying all around.
I have this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-EeePad...K_iPad_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item1c22d82916

Let us know how this one is. Out of the cases I've seen on Amazon, this one looks the best for my needs.
Don't look only at sleeves marketed for the TF700T...
I took my TF700T w/ dock into Best Buy yesterday to try it for fit in what ever they had on the shelves. I found a sleeve that's marketed for the HP mini fit my tablet like a glove. It does have an external pocket where keep the charging cable, AC adapter, and the microfiber cloth. Only costs $20USD.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olstemplatemapper.jsp?skuId=9926416&type=product&tab=7&id=1218196187925
I just checked Amazon, and they have the same sleeve for $8.35USD. http://www.amazon.com/HP-WV594AA-10-2-Inch-Sleeve/dp/B003UT7QD2 Seems I paid BB a bit over $11USD for the privilege of being able to actually touch the product, physically compare multiple products, and to get the product right away. But it also proves the product isn't a BB exclusive. Probably should be able to find it anywhere in the world where the HP mini is sold.

It's normally good to compare. I bought mine on an e-auction (not ebay, but similar) for like ~$3, it's meant for netbooks too.

Kensington's keyfolio for iPads works, a little tight though (borrowed a friend's case).
Just ran across the following;

Looks exactly like the keyfolio, but cheaper. I'll know more when it arrives in a few days.

This is the one I purchased a little while back - I got it for $20.00 - Amazon Prime free 2 day shipping.
Love the damned thing - if you can find it anywhere else around that price, I would jump on it - it's a great quality product for that price.

Good news, it arrived today. Bad news, I sent it back for a refund.
Initially I was OK with it. The build quality wasn't as good as a Kensington keyfolio, but for $34 plus shipping I wasn't going to complain too much. The keyboard paired fine and most of the special top keys worked (4th and 5th key did nothing). However when the elastic strap came loose from low quality stitching after around 6 times closing the case, I decided to return it. I exerted no more force than necessary to stretch the strap around the cover.
Now that I've compared it with the Kensington case, I can definitely say the Kensington is well worth the extra cost. This is disappointing since this is the only keyboard+case with "HP Touchpad" in the product description I'm aware of.

PROs:
Better fit for the Touchpad that the Kensington cases. See this threadhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17133290 where I tried out the Kensington case.
Hard plastic keys versus rubber keys on the Kensington case. That said, apparently the newer Kensington cases have hard plastic keys. Rubber keyboards may not bother some, but I find them hard to use.
CONs:
Even with rubber keys, the Kensington keyboard is rigid and sturdy. The Goldx keyboard is disturbing non-rigid, even flimsy. I'm also concerned how it will wear over time. As you can see from the pictures, there is so much gap between keys you can actually see under them. It is a magnet for crumbs/etc getting under the keys. (Hey, everyone likes to eat crackers and type, right?)
Stitching. The reason I returned it, and severely lacking compared to the Kensington. Look at the pics and judge for your self.
Unless you tilt the screen all the way up, the "grips" that hold the bottom of the pad aren't sufficient to keep it from slipping forward and onto the keyboard from the least bit of vibration, such as someone bumping the table. The rigid keyboard on the Kensington does an excellent job holding it it place.
Conclusion:
Not worth the money. After I get the refund, I'll look at getting a Kensington case with hard keys. Barnes and Nobles has one for $53, and as long as they are prompt with the refund I'll give them another chance. Of course, I'll be back to the tight case problem. My sister is a good seamstress, and I'll see If I can get her to adjust it to better fit the Touchpad.
Wish me luck.

Great review although sorry product didn't work out. I ordered one of these to try: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004DXGOA0/ref=pe_175190_21431760_C1_cs_sce_3p_dp_1
The dimensions between the ipad 1 and the touchpad are within a couple of mm at most and any case should have enough give to handle it. I'll report back after receiving it.
Thanks for your review and I'm sorry it didn't work out It would be amazing if we could get a case like the clam case for the ipad (http://clamcase.com/bluetooth-ipad-keyboard-case.html). Out of curiousity, would the touchpad fit in a zaggfolio?

This in fact was the exact keyboard I got down to the paper insert in the review being the same. Very pleased with it for $25 shipped.
just wanted to mention that you guys could consider the aluminium keyboard cases for ipad 1 such as http://chinagrabber.com/ipad-blueto...keyboard-aluminum-case-holder--icase-467.aspx
I picked one up while I was over in taiwan last month (not the one linked, but similiar) and it seems to fix/work. But as mentioned the product I picked up isn't the one I linked, I actually don't know the name of the case I got, it was from a night market stall and written in chinese (I can't read it :S) and I think it was a knock off of a case. It might be because it's a knockoff and not properly fitted to the ipad 1 but it fit my touchpad :S. I did have to put in a little extra padding around the corners (afraid it would fall out if it was too lose :S).
Not promising it would fit, and it is expensive but maybe try looking into something similiar? I haven't bought from that site either and can't verify the trustworthiness of it, but just linked it to give you guys an idea of what I was talking about.
All of the aluminum cases are really expensive though I don't want to buy one just to experiment, and I can't justify the price either way. If anyone has a case with a keyboard they would recommend, please do, I would highly appreciate it!!

Seems to be just right to me...not to loose..not to tight....you can tilt it every which way and it's not moving...camera hole even seems to line up...the review I linked to (originally posted by another user) shows it off pretty well. It linked fine and I've used it..even has a button which takes you to home screen.
Like jeez, there's a million cases but they're all leather portfolio style. Is there anything out there that is a hard shell case or something that isn't leather?? Preferably something that will house the dock as well. I can't be the only one that wants this lol
I too, wish to know of such cases - just a simple silicone case that could be cut to accommodate the keyboard dock would be great!

There are reports on here from users that tried the TranSleeve Dual that say it doesn't fit that well, and that when using it with only the tablet it would slide out of the case. I've been considering getting a regular TranSleeve for when I'm using just the tablet sans dock, and putting this skin on it:

http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-TechS...d-Lifetime/dp/B006ZPPDFG/ref=pd_bxgy_e_text_y
Then maybe just getting a netbook sleeve to store it all in the rest of the time.

I'm using a caseen leather case from the prime I had. Now I'm thinking about getting the dock but don't want a case on it that will make it enormous and this option would keep size minimal. I wonder if the skin has to be taken off does it leave the tablet all sticky from the skin being stuck on?

Yea I saw these, very nice and thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately the "fabric" is still kinda similar to the leather ones I've seen and not really what I'm looking for. Someone else might find this useful though!
You guys have to keep in mind the design time between the two styles of cases. The leather "snap on" and "slide in" types start with the same chuck of cardboard and "leather" and get a couple slight fit mods and button cut outs to make it fit and their sole purpose is to cover the case. Tough cases such as gum drop, otted, seido, trident, and even silcon jackets have to be molded to fit exactly the right way to every curve. Leather slip ons have alot of room for sloppy fit where the molded type do not giving very little room wiggle room when it comes to testing for the right fit and overall tolerances. Every device I've seen comes with generic cases like folio and slip ons then comes the ones everyone wants.
The good news is GumDrop has informally announced via email that it will be making a case for our tabs, and it will be a water resistant case. Good stuff. And they are rather affordable. Check em out.

Nothing will compare to ipad for accessories, they have tons of options before its released. It takes time to develope these products and makers wait to see what the demand will be bfore sinking capitol. its a no brainer for the ipad and a stiff comptetition market so the faster the better. Hoping the R&D will be short on the GumDrop since they had cases for previous models.

I bought this one when it was $20.00.... ridiculous price now, though.....
IPad KB cases work for the TP, just a heads up. I epoxy'd some foam at the bottom of the mount for the tablet to make it fit a bit more snug, but it's not necessary, considering the camera doesn't work, anyway.
Do some fishing on Amazon.... for 20, the case is well worth it...... not so much for that current ridiculous asking price, though....

http://www.amazon.com/ZAGGmate-Alum...=UTF8&qid=1347836439&sr=8-1&keywords=zaggmate
It's for ipad 1, which is pretty much the same size as the touchpad. But the price is ridiculous. There are chinese made ones that look exactly like the Zaggmate for cheap but they are only compatible with ipad 2 & 3.
I'll look into an apple keyboard cover see if I can find anything for cheap.

Damn, they only ship within US.
BTW, for people who are ordering this, it will work with the Touchpad but it won't fit as a case. Something to consider.
I am looking for a case that basically converts the touchpad into a netbook. Meaning no flappy leather. I can't find anything solid that I can use on my lap. I was just about to make a thread about this.
Something that just snaps the touchpad in and folds open like a laptop (meaning you don't snap it in and out of a case)
If I had access to a 3d printer i would just make one

Something like this? Although it's for ipad 2 but I wonder if it's possible to do any mods to make the touchpad fit.

This one looks a lot better and I think it would fit the touchpad but it's damn expensive.

This was on Woot.com a few weeks ago for $8.00. I couldn't pass that up and got one. sinks great with my TP running CM9 nightlys. of course it has the dimensions for the galaxy tabs so my TP doesn't even come close to fitting into it, but as a stand alone keyboard, it's really good.

I just got the Kensington K39532US keyboard/case and IMO is the best choice for our Touchpads. It costs more than the knockoffs, but I've tried a couple of those and been disappointed. Being made for Android and Windows 10' tablets, I assumed it would be specific to widescreen tablets, like previous cases. However, I watched the video from their websitehttp://www.kensington.com/ajax/showVideo.aspx?id=48157 and it seems Kensington uses the same case size for both ipad and android, they just use a slightly different keyboard. This does mean there will be extra space in the case on the top or side depending on which size tablet you use. Some people may not care for the adhesive grid pad holding the tablet in place, but I find it very secure. If anything, it holds the tablet too tightly. Since I never took it out of the HP case, I'm hoping this isn't an issue for me. And yes, the Touchstone charger works with the tabet still in the case.
The upside for me is that I'm not using an iPad only case that doesn't quite fit (or covers part of the screen) and I'm using an android keyboard, so all the keys work. The special keys work, such as music/volume controls, back and home. Also, the keys are hard plastic, not the rubber-keys of previous models and knockoffs. It works like a charm, I'm using it now. There are two keys at the top right "K1" and "K2", not sure what they are for. Being also for Windows tablets, there are the usual Windows keys near the spacebar. If anyone wants pics, let me know.

EDIT: remove "not" from "not using an android keyboard"
I happen to have the Zaggmate keyboard for Ipad 1 mentioned above (21st Bday present )
http://www.zagg.com/accessories/zaggmate-ipad-keyboard-case
Don't try the ones made for Ipad 2 and "3", they don't even fit and it's probably not designed for the weight of the ipad 1; and yes, even the knock-off ones don't work.
I quite like it as a whole, the design is nice; I quite like the glossy black against the aluminium, in general, it's not that heavy either. The keyboard... decent, a much much better experience than those squishy keyboards found on the leather folio type cases. You'd need to adjust to the keys, but that doesn't take long, some pics:

I haven't mastered the keyboard shortcuts yet, but most of the common ones work fine, and the media ones work too (minus that globe button). Only thing I don't like about it was that the "hooks" didn't hold the device in place well. It would topple if you moved it the slightest, and since you'd be poking the screen due to the lack of touchpad that was concerning. I just stuck on some no-slip padding, now its really secure and doubles to minimise movement when its closed:
Highly recommend one if you can get one for cheap, it fits really well and actually looks like its made for the TP. Functionality wise... well you can type on it and almost all of the media keys work
hello FC1032.
Does the touchpad is fastened securely and adapted to the keyboard, or has a little slack?

When you have it "closed" there is a small gap at the corners of the case (due to the ipad1 being more sharp at the corners), there is very little movement otherwise.
When "opened" like a laptop: The TP is just leaning on the back hinge shown in the last photo and the base held with some "hooks" (so its not fastened/docked like a transformer). Originally it was not secure at all, like i mentioned the hooks at the base don't grip the TP. Now I have the non-slip grips stuck on. It's really secure now. I tried shaking and wobbling the TP and it still stays in place, as long as you don't flip it upside down or have it greater than 45 degrees, it's more than enough to be still.
I wasn't really sure which one you meant, so I answered both scenarios.
Thanks FC1032. Exactly the kind of review I was looking for.
One last question. When you have it closed, would the touchpad fall out if you hold the case and touchpad upside down? Or is it secured. Because you mentioned there is a bit of empty space in the corners.
Thanks again.

Unfortunately its not entirely secure and will fall out if held upside down.

I'm planning to get a skinomi carbon fiber skin for my infinity cos Im starting to hate cases now (don't even have one for my mobile).
But I want something to protect my screen and use as a stand and not cover the back.
Perfect I'll get the transleeve.
EXCEPT I can't seem to get the thing from anywhere!!!!
I'm from Australia BTW, so no retail stores sell it (that I'm aware of). The only ones I can find on the net are on eBay, but its pink. There is also another seller from the UK but they have it from $80 !!!!
Where can I get one of these covers. Otherwise I might have to settle for a sleeve with a built in stand or something.
I bought this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/360-Rotatin...es_Covers_Keyboard_Folios&hash=item4abcb180c9
Have been using it for the last couple of days and this has been the best case I've owned. It looks nice and is convenient enough to take anywhere. Well worth the money and is even better than some of my more expensive cases...

Overall I am very happy with it. It's a decent shell that cradles the unit with a "leather" that wraps around that. I don't know how
genuine any of these materials are but they seem fine.
The ring in the middle seems to be where all the magic happens. It spins very easily.
In response to rndmnss's concern over the ring scratching the back of the infinity I spun my
infinity around in this thing like a propeller for a bit and after taking it out I couldn't see any
scratches, BUT the way the back of the infinity is polished (those circular patterns) I'm not sure
I would've been able to tell if it was scratching it. I to a picture with a playing card against the ring
to show just how close it really is. If I was really concerned about it scratching I would file just a
little off of the ring. There is enough there it shouldn't mess with functionality to lose a little.
The only problem i had was when using the case as a stand once it sat a little crooked after
looking around i seen that the back hadn't rotated completely. It was an easy adjustment and
hasn't happened since.
I wasn't sure about the edges at first. They look like they were melted to the right size but they
seem to grab the four corners just fine.
The cutouts are good everywhere for me. Volume and Power buttons seemed weird at first but
thats just because i was so use to them with no case. Camera also seems pretty protected.
There are only two positional grooves in the microfiber instead of three on most. Another one or two
would have been nice for versatility but these work just fine in both portrait and landscape orientations.
The thickness of it also works well. Feels slim yet thick enough that there is plenty to hold on to.
The case fits tight enough that there is NO room inside i would feel comfortable squeezing a stylus into
it but there is plenty of room to slide the clip on the stylus in the edge. I bend the clip so it would fit
more to my liking (not to hard or soft).
Spinning it 180 degrees and closing works great for charging. Without a dock to test with I'm not sure
if there is enough room to plug it into one when in this position.
Overall I really love it (especially for $15). Once I get a keyboard dock I will need to look at some other
options but this would still be great for when not using the dock and it comes in and out of the case easy
enough you could swap between this another case without any trouble.
This is the listing I used

Wow,
Pretty sweet!
It protects the corners.
Wish I could run to a store a get it right now.
Nice case.
Yeah I got one of those for my iPad. It a great type of case but it really adds quiet a bit of bulk, which is what I'm actually trying to avoid with the whole skin + transleeve thing here. I mean what's the point of buying a tablet this thin when I'm just going to add a cover which adds so much bulk.
I hate to say it but apple knew what they were doing when they made the smart cover + case. Gives enough protection while still keeping the tab slim. I don't know what more you could ask for.
The Asus transleeve had good potential except for the fact that the build quality is apparently horrible and it didn't really have a closing mechanism to keep the cover from flopping around. Also the whole scratching thing (but the skin would have kinda protected it from that).
I'm sure I would have got a few looks from those iPad owners when i folded up that weird origami stand.
Oh well ill just buy a standard sleeve then ... disappointed.
I don't worry about the glass very much. It's Gorilla glass 2, which can take quite a beating. heck, I dropped an inifinity onto a concrete floor from about five feet. Glass was prefectly fine. Can't say that about the rest of the case; metal bend, plastic cracked through.
Personally, I just bought a netbook sleeve for storage and transportation. Bought a portable folding stand. I keep the charger, stand, and various cables in sleeve pouch. Not perfect, but works enough. Then again, I wasn't trying to have an Android iPad.
I'd really like a "smart cover" type of case too. I know Asus sells one, but the engineering seems to be pretty bad.
This will be quick. Two things:
Expensive
Worth it
Best quality case I've ever owned.

Nice review. To condense it:

!!!
Early impressions were that people didn't like the snap method of affixing the case but I didn't have any issue with it and I like it.
My major criticism is with the edges of the case which have a raw, unfinished feel to them. If the cases were leather I would expect those edges to soften up with time but with this poly material, I don't know.
A major plus is that the cover doesn't add much bulk.
I had a difficult time finding a cover in my city. The one (the only one) a local Best Buy was carrying wasn't even in the Samsung section. The Samsung employees couldn't find it. I found it -- It was laying flat on a generic shelf labeled "tablet essentials".
Go figure.
I'm waiting on mine from Samsung. com. Is it heavy? Thanks.

No quite light and folds behind quite flat when needed.
Case looks beautiful but I can't get the buttons to hold it up. What am I doing wrong?
Edit -- nvm I just had to push them harder!!! Works great.

Just picked it up 2 days ago when it when on sale at Best Buy. I think Samsung finally got it right with this case!!!
My accessories came today including this case and I'll be stalling it tonight after I put on my screen protectors. I love the size and texture of the case, the closure is very strong. It's definitely worth getting over the 3rd party cases.

What are your thoughts for everyday use guys? Has functionality and usability been compromised with design? I'm checking the reviews and I'm worried the flap at the back can get annoying because it does not hold unto place unless you set the magnets in.
What about long term use and wear?

Not sure what you're asking about magnets. The magnets are strong and once you get used to the folding schemes it easy to switch.
As far as long term wear my only concern is with the snaps. Only time will tell. This is by far the nicest case Samsung has ever made. I have their case for the note 8 and the note 2, never used either one for long. I don't think I'll even look at other cases for this, unless I want one with keyboard.

I was pertaining to the other half of the rear flap that does not attach it's to the rear of the tablet. Doesn't it flop around when holding with one hand since it doesn't have any magnets? I e been looking at reviews of this case (not that much) and everyone is saying it's a really nice cade, pro ably the first case made by Samsung with that high praise. I usually just buy the generic ones from Amazon that have screen on and off function for 8 dollars lol

No. When folding the cover back you simply fold the flap underneath leaving the camera exposed and it doesn't flop around. Love it.
