[Q] How do wii, or can wii play Super Smash Flash 2? - General Questions and Answers

Hey everybody!!
I want to know if there's a way to play Super Smash Flash 2 on our awesome Android phones. When I open it in the mobile browser, of course it opens and all, but it's not really playable. I probably need a physical keyboard. This is why I hate touch phones. Where the keyboards at? Sorry, off topic.
Anyways,
There is a download, but it's an .exe download. I want to know if there's anyway we can emulate this flash game on our phones and play it.
I know there's an app that let's us play .swf, which are flash movies. But I want to play a flash game.
Here's a link to it to view it or play it. =.P

Off topic: Epic Rap Battle of History: Bill Gates vs Steve Jobs was awesome!! X.D
That is all. =.P

I'm actually a developer of SSF2 (small world, huh?) & I've dabbled around with playing SSF2 on my Droid RAZR using apps that have onscreen buttons. You can download the mac version and unzip it on the root of your SD Card and the game will play (make sure you have the data folder in the root of the SD) - however since it's not optimized for mobile (or even close...) it runs at crazy low speeds and is almost unplayable.

[Q]Where to find Virtual Tennis & MK games?

Hi Guyz,
I am a big fan of Mortal Kombat series. I have PS2, played all versions of Mortal Kombat and Virtual Tennis 2009 in Xbox. I love these games and also counter strike and a good cricket game.
When and Where can we except these games?
Gameloft ppl doesnt look like going beyond what they have now. From the day 1 i took my cell and till now gameloft havent launched any new game to xperia play. Its very disappointing.
I dont know whey are we so much dependent Gameloft.
What these guyz are doing?
EA
SEGA
MIDWAY
CODEMASTERS
Are they not going to port games to play?
well. as far as Midway Games are Concerned .. "As of 2011, Midway is a corporation existing under Delaware law subject to a Chapter 11 bankruptcy liquidation plan."
''Following a bankruptcy filing in 2009, it is no longer active and is in the process of liquidating all of its assets.''
So i really doubt we will ever see anything from this publisher again.
Ask those companies, not us.
also to the OP . .. all the original MK Titles are available on Consoles that are rather refined in terms of emulation. so why not just load up SNESoid or Gensoid and Play MK1,2,3,UMK ?
Unless you are after one of the later games... in that case .. tough Bannana's
''When and Where can we except these games? '' - Never and Nowhere ... I cannot see them ever porting 'Virtual Tennis' :S or any PS2 game for that matter

We aren't entirely dependent on GameLoft, but they happen to make a lot of games that are of fairly good quality, even if they tend to lack creativity (generally shamelessly cribbed from other series/games).
EA _DOES_ have games out on Android. Need for Speed is out on Android, EA mobile also released versions of Tetris, Bejewled (even though it is owned by PopCap) and a number of other titles. However, they have super-shady practices, and routinely invalidate purchased titles. Support is not there at all. The idea that they are toying with trying to purchase PopCap entirely makes me cringe.
Sega... sadly hasn't produced much of anything for Android directly. Not really anything for iPhone really either. You can go back and play Sonic on Genesis emulators though (provided you have owned a copy of the cartridge ).
I have not seen anything really notable out of Midway in about a decade. So don't look at me to explain that.
Codemasters hasn't put out anything directly. However I think they have been attributable to a few projects, or their IPs have.
u can get FPSE and play Mortal kombat trilogy that is what i did and it plays with no lag or anything

Here is a step by step method. Some steps are more involved than others.
1)Buy used (or new) copy of Mortal Kombat: Trilogy for original PlayStation (PS1/PSX).
2) Rip CD to .ISO, make sure to include bad data and subtrack datum, as that is sometimes used in copy-protection by some companies on PS1/PS2 discs.
3) Download copy of .ISO to your SD card on your Xperia Play.
4) Install FPSE (and optionally load a BIOS for PSX to your FPSE also, but some work with just HLE).
5) Configure your buttons and preferences for FPSE,
6) Load your .ISO of MK-Trilogy from FPSE.
7) ???
8) Receive 'GET OVER HERE! *SHUNK*' and bacon.
1)Buy used (or new) copy of Mortal Kombat: Trilogy for original PlayStation (PS1/PSX).
I have downloaded .ISO file of "PSX - Mortal Kombat Trilogy" from thePiratebay.
2) Rip CD to .ISO, make sure to include bad data and subtrack datum, as that is sometimes used in copy-protection by some companies on PS1/PS2 discs.
.ISO file is ready. but i didnt understood "bad data and subtrack datum". How to add them?
3) Download copy of .ISO to your SD card on your Xperia Play.
This step i will once after completing step 2 succssfully.
4) Install FPSE (and optionally load a BIOS for PSX to your FPSE also, but some work with just HLE).
Installed "FPSE for Android" from Markets. But i didnt understood "optionally load a BIOS for PSX to your FPSE". How to do this?

1) you have downloaded your game illegaly and will not receve any support from xda members
2) as your stealing your games this dosent count
4) to legally use FPse, you need to rip the bios from your PSX, turn it into a .bin and load it to the emulator
sorry for that, i wasnt knowing about this.
Anyways, now i have created ISO out of the original CDs that i had.
WWE vs Smackdown 2011 i tried.
First i downloaded file scph1001.bin and loaded as bios file in Fpse app.
Then i chose the ISO file of the game, its giving me error,
Warning:
"ISO file corrupted or is not 2325 bytes\sectors"
Error:
"Retry using bios file. Press Menu\System, then default config save and retry"
Thanks,
Harsha

Chances are you didn't get a complete and proper rip of your WWE game disc. The problem is that PSX/PS1 discs are quite picky. They expect you to keep all of the "bad" data in there. They often purposely make bad blocks on the disc and use those to verify if the disc is legit. If you don't, then it won't work properly many times. Try some different settings and make sure you don't have it set to "ignore bad data" when ripping to an .iso file. If you don't currently have a particular game on CD, then there are hundreds of stores (online and RL) that sell old/used games. Though, some might be harder than others to find (original issue Final Fantasy Tactics for instance). Beyond that, I would think it would be better to take this issue to the FPSE forums or a playstation emu site. Based on original things you state, you aren't likely to get much more sympathy on this topic.
*blinks* They are still making PS1 wrestling games for 2011? I thought by the time PS1/PSX died off, the WWE was still the WWF. Are you sure you didn't rip a PS/2 disc by mistake?
That piticular title was never released for PS1 . The OP ripped a PS2 Image.
He even states in his original post that he 'Has PS2' ...
OP - you will not be able to play any of your PS2 games on your phone.. unfortunately.
whoa whoa, hey, guy, piratebay? we don't know what that is....
LOL piratebay.

Must Have HTC G1 (Dream) Games

The G1 is still kicking, we all know its a pretty old phone, but i am still using it, since it runs Froyo and pretty fast.
A lot of games i download from the market, doesn't run on my G1, but if it does, it will lag as hell. The G1 does have a decent graphics capability, but certainly not good for a lot of new games and games that need a lot of resource.
Here we go, the top 5 games i play on my G1.
1. Air Control
Air Control. In this simple yet addictive drawing game you take on the role of Air Traffic Controller. It is your job to direct airplanes to runways while avoiding collisions.
2. Doodle Jump
Doodle Jump. WARNING: Insanely Addictive! Jump, jump, jump to the top, top, top with the runaway hit now on Android! Guide the Doodler on a springy journey using springs, jet packs and more. Avoid baddies and blast them with your nose balls!
3. Xconstruction
Build railway tracks with the given material and run the train across the bridge. The game is extremely good.
4. Bonsai Blast
Experience the Zen of gaming nirvana with this addictive puzzle game. Shoot marbles to match 3 or more and create combos to cause a chain reaction.
5. Snesoid Emulator
You can simply forget about all the above games, if you get this emulator, i have this installed on my G1 and i download free roms from sites like RomNation and CoolRoms and play all the classic Super Nintendo games. I currently have 157 nintendo games on my G1, and there are 1000s more to download. The best part is these games has less file size. This app will work great on the G1 since, you can config the keyboard like a controller(joystick) and play without touching the screen.
If you want to try NES games, you can get Nesoid App from the market.
I will keep updating this posts with more games, you can list your favorites below, i will try them and add to the list.
Help
I love my G1 - but games are out of the question. In fact now I can't install ANY apps, even after a factory reset.
I don't know why this is because I used to have over ten....now I'm getting a low memory warning with nothing....no pictures, no music ZERO.
Now I think something is wrong somewhere...I don't think the reset I'm doing is actually wiping what I need to wipe and it's all hanging about somewhere.
What I need to know is - if I install a different ROM will I get my memory back? And how can I do a deaper wipe of the Internal storage? Clearly you have apps on your phone...an I don't want to buy a new phone until ICS has acclimatised.

[Q] Open Feint, online multiplayer, Gun Bros and other questions (long rant)

Having come recently from iOS to Xperia Play, I 'm finding its online multiplayer severely lacking compared to iOS. There are some questions deeply rooted (lol) in my mind which I can't find answers for and hope the knowledgeable people here can help me with.
First, I am no Apple fanboy (though I respect their products) , I prefer playing games with physical buttons hence my switch to Xperia Play. However, comparing Gun Bros online multiplayer iOS and Android versions I must ask:
1) Why does the game Gun Bros ask me to have a GameSpy account and a wifi connection when on iOS I could play online multiplayer IMMEDIATELY via GameCenter and even via 3G? (Well, the connection was sometimes slow, but it worked).
2) Why is the game forcing me to open a Facebook account in order to play online? Personally I despise Facebook and will never use it. The iOS version did no such thing.
3) Why does Open Feint NOT provide online multiplayer the same way GameCenter does on iOS?
4) Are there at all any games I can play on my Xperia Play using on-line multiplayer the same way GunBros does in iOS version? I mean, two players doing the same level co-operatively where I can see the other player and his actions on my screen.
4) If there are such games, am I am ok with just Open Feint or do I have to use some stupid additional app like Facebook or GameSpy?
Thanks for any answers and sorry if I sound a bit negative. I do love gaming on Xperia Play, it's a lovely handset, I just find its multiplayer features so far very limited.
I'll try and answer your questions as good as i can, allright?
1) God knows. It's the Developers decision, how he manages stuff. And you can bet your ass that it's a different developer(team?) vor the iOS and Android versions.
2) Same as 1.
3) GameCenter is by Apple from Apple for Apple.. it's on every iPhone and provides such functionality. Android does not have such a standard (yet?).
4) Am not the type to play multiplayer games. I emulate most games i play (PSX, GBC, SNES, GENESIS) and i only have 2 other XPeria Play users as friends.. that never really play the type of games i enjoy.
5) (Presumably..) Game developers will probably provide their own servers, or you'll be able to run your own on your handset. On iOS such fucntions cannot be implemented, so developers HAVE to use their own Servers (correct me if i'm wrong here, though).
All in all, iOS is the simplier variant of .. pretty much anything.
But if you want REAL customisation, aswell as a real swiss army knife at your hands - Android is much better.
(How did i end up in a iOS vs Android phrase.. i don't really..)

[Q] Gameloft Games Not Compatible?

Don’t know much about how compatibility is determined on the play store weather it’s up to the developer to say a device isn’t compatible. But I noticed on launch day nothing was really blocked due to compatibility but yesterday most of Gameloft’s library disappeared for me was curious if anyone was able to try Dungeon Hunter 4 & Order and Chaos on the shield.
Anyone have insight on why certain apps are being blocked?
It's a new device and normally will have to wait for game updates before certain company's list the Shield as compatible (its the game developers that enable compatibility lists on their Google dev accounts).
I do know Modern Combat 4 will work with controls on Sheild as its recently been updated with HID support but whether it's available to download is another story.
For now your probably better off sideloading games from another droid you own (if you do).

App developers can change their games compatibility. Gameloft, in general, doesn't support controller on many games, so I wouldn't be surprised if they started marking them as incompatible.
Do you happen to have a rooted phone or tablet? If you do you can download the games to that device and back them up with titanium backup. Then you can export the backup and import it to your shield if you have rooted your shield. You might be able to just pull the apk out of the titanium backup and sideload it on the shield if you have not or don't want to root the shield.
I did this exact thing with the game Avadon to get it on my Kindle Fire when I had that. It isn't pirating since you own the game and a lot of the time games will work on unsupported devices this way. Once you have them installed they typically show up in the market but will still say unsupported and not allow you to update them.
I would imagine without controller support those games would need an app like Gamekeyboard and root to emulate touch controls with the physical buttons. I am currently using that app to play Final Fantasy Dimensions with the Shield. The only thing I cannot do with the physical controls is browse the inventory out of combat. In combat and walking around I can use the physical controls fully. It's pretty awesome.
Evo_shift, how did you root the Shield? Thanks!
Edit: nvm, saw the thread.
Yeah, I was wondering why I couldn't find Modern Combat 4!

Don't need root to sideload from one phone to another (or tablet or shield).
ES File Explorer supports backing up apps to .apk without root permissions. From there you just copy the APK onto the shield, launch it in a file browser and android will install. No root required.
As for final fantasy. I guess no out of combat inventory is annoying, but at least you do have native touch.
My brother had a kindle fire, we used the ES file explorer method and since then have rooted the device, added the play store and a custom launcher. Shame that you have to do those mods but once you have its definitely a bargain. Missing bluetooth and camera etc, but its cheap and runs most things pretty well we've found.

Wow, cool. I had no idea something like that wouldn't require root.
The lack of bluetooth is why I ended up selling the Fire when the Nexus 7 was released. It did everything I wanted it to do just fine and I got it during one of Amazon's big refurbished sales and was my first tablet so I didn't want to spend a lot because I wasn't sure I would use it. Finding out I wasn't able to use a bluetooth gamepad was a real bummer to me. Now, my kids have basically taken over the Nexus (and they are only 4 and 2 years old but there are nice educational apps). The shield is my new toy that they will not have access to and basically replaces my Nexus 7 since I only used it for gaming
I contacted Gameloft and all they said there's nothing in the works, but when there is they will announce it. Lame
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
Not all games allow apk back up without root. There will be a little lock icon for the ones that are protected. I think all Gameloft games allow sideload, since the game checks your Google account during the first time opened to validate. Most games released in the past year (at least) still check the device if compatible, so even sideloading does not mean the game will actually work when you open it.
For modern combat, turn off mouse control via quick settings and the game works great.

NFS Most Wanted works (touch only).
Throwing this out there. If you like racing games, be sure to check out Asphalt 8. It works and is compatible with the Shield controller.
I install the dungeon hunter 4 and use the tincore keymapper to map the screen button and work like champ.

Are you able to set the graphics on very high on DH4?
Asphalt 8 is the first one im going to play when my shield gets here tomorrow.
i heard tegra 3 games should work/ these work on htc one x
so if anyone has:
Dungeon Hunter 2
9mm HD
would like to know the results.
Gangstar vegas works with touchscreen + high graphics mod from xda plays awsome
Im going to try mapping keys to it.

How about a TSO app?

Hello,
I love to play the Settlers online.
www.thesettlersonline.com
And I would like to play it on my Android device.
Since the creators of the Settlers online don't want to think about making the game playable on any other device than pc, I was wondering if someone XDA could make a forwarder or something...
The biggest problem is, it uses Flash.
I, for one, have got a Xperia S which does not have much capabilities about Flash games.
I tried Dolphin browser and other browsers, but it wouldn't work.
