Means release candidate and is closer to stable status than nightly.
It is also suppose to have most of the issues iron out.

It's not out as EVERYONE thinks TouchWiz is one of the worst Launchers available. If you want it you're going to have to port it yourself - or get an SGS2

Touchwiz was one of the main reasons I bought the Sensation. It just looked (and felt rubbish)

For every 1 who wants TouchWiz on the Senation, there are a million who don't. It's not worth the time/hassle to port it for such a small user base
Well some devs here at xda see a request and once they start,more attention comes. I think touchwiz is pretty cool in ways sense isn't. Of course its not comparable to sense overall,but its better than motoblur.

The problem is, no one really likes TW. I've had a Samsung device and all the custom ROMS were TW free.

Yeah but there also a lot that love touchwiz. The team that made the custom touchwiz has themes and give it all kind of support. This is kind of like a request,just hopin a dev picks up on it

In the original galaxy s forum there is a launcher called Touch wiz 4.5 its pretty good but there is a modded version that fits in our phone ill send you the apk later I don't have my computer at the moment. And if you install the wizmod2 theme if you have cm7 it looks better

Wtf another miui build canceled what happened this time ? Google just announced Android 4.1, codenamed Jelly Bean today.
So i thought we would need a separate thread to discuss the possibility of whether or not we would get the OTA for our Sensations!
Any news or announcements from HTC will be shared here!
Whether or not we get an OTA, (Which we should) the talented devs here will surely have something for us

Thats true, but an official update is always welcomed!
If we don't get a ota from HTC then hopefully with the source code released from Google we can get some custom roms out there for us
We'll get an OTA. Next year.
Meanwhile, we'll get this from the awesome devs here next week.
Google is releasing the SDK developer preview today, so if anyone is really awesome we can probably see an SDK port pretty soon.

How is that the same story? HTC gave us an ICS OTA stable ROM, and AOSP ICS ROMs are on the rise.

This! Majel, the ONLY thing I am looking forward to in JB. Lol. Tiny tidbit for you guys, google called it Majel after the creator of Star Trek's (Gene Roddenberry) Wife Majel Roddenberry. It's supposed to work very similar to the Star Trek "Computer."
Im sure this Majel will be another excuse for HTC and other companies to delay the OTA and buy some time!

The likelihood of getting 4.1 pushed OTA is EXTREMELY unlikely. We've recently gotten ICS officially pushed a couple of months ago.

That's absolutely not true, we are required to get the updates for 18 months after the phone's release OTA, so we're still guaranteed it. It's just a matter of when...

Says who? The Sensation isn't HTC's flagship phone anymore. You're not entitled to anything.
When I first got my HTC sensation, first thing I realized is the amazing picture quality, but when I flashed cm9 it is dirt compaird to the HTC sense camera, is there anyway to flash the sense camera to cm9??

no sir, afraid not. AOSP does have the same resolutions tho I think? Im using UCam and its as close to Sense as youre gonna get. its not bad

Virtuos team have a stripped down Sense based rom that looks and feels like AOSP. Try that i think it has the sense camera
