*** i got my phone up and running. i am using a very old firmware from at and t from 12/07. however, fromt this point on, any other rom that i try to use is giving me a 302 error, both official and cooked roms except for the old one. can anyone shine some insight on this? thanks.
UPDATE on current problem:
1) i tried to update to a custom rom for the first time. it had worked. i used hard spl 3.29, then installed the natf v4 rom. the rom worked fine and everything. however, it was not to my liking.
2) maybe this was my stupidest mistake because i am a newbie. i tried to install an official rom right after. when i did this, the phone was stuck on 89%, and just freezes. and now i am stuck at the tri color screen (boot screen).
3) nothing i load is working. can someone please point me in the right direction in what im suppoose to do from here. i tried the sticky thread, but i am not having any luck. i need this to work asap. please help. thanks all is aprpeciated.
when i try to install the same natf rom, i get the error 262. it doesnt even go past 0%.
when i try to install the original oem rom, it goes to 89%, and stops and gives me a 309 error.
there's plenty of stickies and other topics around that have potential solutions, try those first, post back if nothing's working.

yes ih ave tried. the phone is not workign whatsoever. it wont pass the at and t screen that show the R, G, and D numbers. i can do hard reset, that doesnt work. it just stops. im still searching all over the forum right now. but i need the right solution because i need to get this phone to work ughh im sorry if i seem like im asking to much. please any help is appreciated thanks.
i also cant plug it in through usb. after it freezes that stops too so i cant load anything to update the phone.
What version of hardspl are you flashing? Maybe your rom do not support that. try to manually go to tri color screen and see if it connect to USB or not.

i beleive it was 3.29. how do i manually go into tri color screen? note i cant go pass the first screen
i am currently trying the sd card method to boot up with the kaidiag.nbh file. its not working. nothing boots up. its still freezing at the first screen.

is there anythign specific i have to do to boot up from the sd card? sorry for so many responses i am panicing and ihave to ge tthis phone to work before i go to work in the morning..
hold down the camera button (FULL press) and soft reset, try flashing again

thanks. i jsut tried that. it booted up and isntalled update. it went to the tri color screen, then to the white loading screen, and now im stuck again...
ok it got pass the white loading screen. now im stuck at the good ol tri color screen. anything i was trying to load fromthis point foward is not working. evrtygyhing either is stuck on 0% or it jsut gives me an error to go to recovery mode. please help. i jsut want to revert bck to the oem rom if possible. i just need my phone up and running.
i am getting the error RUU 302. where would i go about this to do it from scratch? as i mentioned i so far have 3.29 hardspl installed

yup thats the one. it stops at 89% and gives me the 302 error

Ok, so I was running valhalla the past week, wanted to try something different so I was running octane v3 for a day and realized it was extremely slow. I wanted to go back to stock so i read on a couple pages a few ways to do so.. i saw this one and thought it was the easiest it was just a download http://sourceforge.net/projects/tea...B releases/Offical GB 2.3.6-Odin.rar/download
now my phone got stuck in a boot loop, i turned the phone off and back on and now I'm stuck at a screen that has a phone, a caution symbol, and a computer next to it...
i can't get the phone into download mode.. please someone help
Try reading any of the 12 threads with this exact same problem posted in the last week (meaning go back to the q&a section and scroll down)

That is download mode. Just another screen for it. Usually get that after an Odin fail. Run Odin and plug in the phone to see if Odin recognizes the phone. If it does Odin another rom.
oh wow thank you I got it to work. had a couple fails saying mounts were incorrect, maybe from when i changed it for Octane, thank you for the help. i panicked lol.
Can you guys please help me?.. My phone automatically starts up Hboot right when I turn on my phone.. Then it starts fastboot. I can't do anything it just automatically does it.
The pictures go in order of what happens. They're 3 screens I go through before it gets stuck.
The 3rd picture is where my phone gets stuck and stops loading.
Please give me some advice to fix this problem.
Looks to me you need to install the stock rom all over again. No worries, there should be some for your ace. Just check the aces section on this site for stock firmware and follow the instructions. it should be a zip. Btw this is what us geeks call a BRICK! Lol

Ok, I have been on this for several days now searching with no success.My phone was running perfectly until i decided to update it using the LG mobile software updater.After that things went down hill. My phone is stuck on the " S/W upgrade please wait while upgrading..." screen. I tried several steps posted by others but no luck what so ever. I was able to get ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0 on the phone thinking that it would help because the stock recovery menu would just lead me back to that screen when I tried to do the hard reset. I flashed Roms on it following the exact instructions and when i reboot it still goes back to that screen.The only steps that i couldnt follow threw with was the Clean Batch Internal SD format for some reason. I went into APX mode and ran the flash.bat file but nothing would pop up leading me to believe that i did something wrong or something I dont know.
Can anyone help?

First of all you have posted in wrong section, second, how are we supposed to help you if you don't give us enough information? What's your phone? How did that happened? Did you installed that rom and happend afterwards or it happened when you tried to install it?
Search on the specific section of your phone a solution of unbricking.
Next time you post a question, answer the above and give as many information as you can
If you are stuck on "download mode" that means you have a Samsung. You can use Odin to flash the stock ROM for your device from Download Mode and then do whatever you were trying to do before.
