updated aokp? - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have noticed that the aokp thread hasn't been updated since April 29th. Is there another thread within an updated version? Or at least nightly?

http://aokp.co/index.php/releases/
That thread is for sportsstar builds. He did put one out last night (see end of thread) but b40 should be considered a nightly and is buggy, prolly should try b39.
and here's the tf101 Rootzwiki AOKP thread: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/21540-aokp-tf101-june-24-build-40/

CM9 Builds Coming Soon???

Just noticed there's a mention of TF101 in the official CM9 changelog. Hopefully that means we'll be getting official nightlies soon.

Did you not visit the dev section? Go nao!
Yea I saw the unofficial build but it will be nice once the true nightlies start to roll out regularly
There already its one nightly build since I last checked. Go to the downloads section on the cyanogenmod website and click on tf101.

What's the differnce between OpenSensation and CM9

Hey guys I am a little confused here. I thought OpenSensation and CM9 are the same or at least CM9 is based on OpenSensation. But after I asked some questions in the CM9 nightly thread i understood I was wrong.
So what is the difference between these builds:
http://get.cm/?device=pyramid
And the builds from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494373&page=873
I was told the first link has nothing to do with OpenSesnation but they are both CM9 so I am confused and I can't find any info.
The http://get.cm link is from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29577778#post29577778 and I thought it is the thread for the CM9 nighlites and this one is for more stable builds: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494373&page=873
But seems I am wrong in the http://get.cm there are 2 RC and in the other thread only one RC so what is the difference thank you
I can't believe nobody knows. Please guys give me some short explanation or a link because I've read a lot and still can't find out what is the difference.
CyanogenMod is CyanogenMod. That's all. OpenSensation is basically exactly the same, but with device-specific fixes that CyanogenMod doesn't accept(at least in this case) because they're hacks. Not all are hacks, obviously, but in the situation of OpenSensation, they are. Which is basically the reason for its existence. Examples would be OpenSensation having 1080p recording whereas official CyanogenMod doesn't. This question has been answered multiple times in both threads, though. Try searching them next time.

Well the threads are hundreds of pages and on the OP post there isn't info so it would be hard to search them. So the Vorbeth thread is CM9 based on OpenSensation and the other with the nighlties is the original CM9?
And OpenSensation is better then CM9 when comparing functions and tweaks?

OpenSensation is based on CM9, and has nightly builds available from Tamcores' webpage :
CM9 is CM9.
And then there's AOKP to add into the mix as well.
As to which one is better, well that all depends on each users' preference.
Best thing to do is to try each one out and see which one you prefer.

Does the autofocusing on camera is working well? Spec in video recording i found it blur not unless you autofocus in camera first. This is the bug same in opensensation nightly..

I'm using it right now, had no problems with it so far :good: everything works, accept you have to install gapps for ICS to get Playstore and stuff, which CM9 doesn't have when you flash it :L

Apologies! I want to take down this thread but i found no option to do it
Kernel?
Sorry, noob question - currently running AOKP and Faux kernel.
Does the stable CM9 include kernel in the zip? Can I just wipe and flash?

Am I the only one who would be interested in donating to an AOKP JB port?

Surely I can't be the only one with a TF300T who prefers AOKP to CM10. Ever since termleech stopped updating his ROM, I've been stuck with CM10 like the rest of us.
Is there anyone out there who's interested in maintaining a new AOKP ROM? Is there any particular reason why AOKP isn't being worked on for this device?

I guess you missed this one or weren't interested.
[ROM][JB] Unoffical Port | AOKP - Milestone 1 | tf300t Only - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971637
It is by the OP of the CM10 bounty thread.
Maybe everyone could support timmytim, OP of that thread to continue his work on AOKP.

You're right, I completely missed that one -- and I just looked earlier. I'll chalk this one up to having been awake all night.
Thanks!

[Q] CM10-What is the difference between the nightlies and the stable 10.0.0 release?

Is there any reason to have one over the other? Why are they still releasing nightlies after the stable release came out? I'm currently using the latest nightly and wondering if I should switch.
Thanks.

Read the thread, it describes why it's named release, and why there are still nightlies. Having the newest nightly is probably still best.
Which thread? I couldn't find that info.
Here is the explanation for you.
