HELP

plz help. rooted sensation. I was running sense-o-maniac rom but switched to an ics rom using 4ext recovery but then my phone didnt start after 1 hour so i tried to put it into hboot and it said that no image or something and then asks ffor an update. When i do that update it reboots and gets stuck again but if i dont i cant press to go back only reboot where it gets stuck. What do i do? i am willing too do a full wipe or ANYTHING just gte me into recovery.PLEASE
Did you flash the recovery using hboot (pg58img.zip) If so remove it from your SD card (use an adaptor or just remove the SD and see if you can get to hboot as normal.

And if that's the case, you can put a Gingerbread ROM on the SD card and reflash that one. Should spin right up.
IF this is your problem
Yes most probably the problem is due to the flashing of the firmware. First flash the firmware required for ICS ROMS and then install the ROM, should work out fine for you

oh oh

i encountered the problem of corrupted theme of 4ext. im not sure how it happened. maybe because i flashed CM10.1 then returned back to ViperS ICS? not sure bout that. its not really a problem but its quite annoying to press okay every time i boot into recovery. hehe

Does the rom boot? If so just use the 4ext app to flash a new theme. That should overwrite whatever is corrupted. If that doesn't work reflash the recovery entirely. You can do that from the app too.
If that doesnt work comeback with a more detailed description of exactly what you get.

yeap. the rom did boot up. hmm. how doo i do that from the app? which app? or there's an app for 4ext?
There is an app for 4ext. Its available for download on the play store. Its an absolute must have app if you use 4ext recovery. It makes life so much easier.

i had the same problem, did not solve it but i found a way to acces it though. if you have 4EXT recovery there is an option to toggle usb storage. if you connect you're phone to you're PC you should ve able to acces it.
good luck! :good:

Hi,
there's probably a process preventing your SD card to be mounted by your PC.
Are you using a swap space on your SD card? If you don't, then maybe a script relating to your kernel does.
Install Kernel Tuner and hit Menu and go Swap. there will be written the amount and the percentage as well as the location of the swap space, if there is any.
In case you saw that, Deactivate the swap space then unmount your SD card and then after you're done, re-activate it.

In my case, I can't even access it in recovery. I can access it from fedora and from some, not all, pc's. It doesn't matter if it is Windows 7 or 8. It seems to be a bit random.

[Q] What is the best solution to "SD card unexpectedly removed" for HTC Sensation XE

[Q] What is the best solution to "SD card unexpectedly removed" for HTC Sensation XE
Hello guys, I'm new here and I'm also new to the android OS. Recently, I bought a HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e and it's a great phone but it has SD card issues. Either it will not read my SD card or when it does, soon after "SD card unexpectedly removed" message pops up and I can no longer access my SD card.
I have read a lot online about this (it seems to be a general problem, even with some Samsung phones). I just wanna ask please, what is the best solution to this problem? thanks
its a stock fault take it back
Me too, but after I rooted and use custom ROM, SD card works fine.
I tested it.

Please send me the details (how you rooted yours with the custom ROM)... I'm also new to the "rooting" phenomenon. Thanks
If you just bought it and you don't want to root it, you should take it back.
If you want to root it and don't know how, you should search here before questioning.

Could you please recall what custom ROM it was? I have mine Sensation rooted and tried various recent ROMs, but the problem still persists :crying:
Thank you in advance!
