Can someone post how to get a custom boot animation on the evo shift without root

You can't.. You keep asking how to do these things without root, and most of it just isn't possible. Sounds like you need to just take the plunge and root your phone.

I can post links all day in reference to rooting. If reading isn't for you, then neither is rooting! I also searched posts made by you and this is NOT the first time you have asked this in one way shape or form, so how many ways can we tell/show you before you either get it done or just give up?

we are a very helpful and friendly community here. We don't like lazy people who won't read anything and then piss and moan when they flash stuff from other phones or don't read the OP instructions.
It's simple, help yourself and if you can't figure it out from some reading and searching we will be glad to point someone in the right direction.

Flashing to Stock OS and recovery.

Hi all,
I'm really sorry to start a thread for this but I couldn't find it anywhere else. I've been having a lot of problems with my Skyrocket and am considering sending it in for warranty repairs if a flash to stock doesn't work. So I have the right OS from sammobile and I found the appropriate recovery tool on here. Here's the catch, neither CWM nor the stock tool will flash to the stock OS. It'll revert back to CNM 10 AND Liquid'd 4.1.2 without an issue, but I can not get the stock ROM running. Please help, I'd be so ridiculously grateful.

Check out the developer stickies by Vincom works wonders and when I FlAsH to stick I use Odin and use stock 35th with all the stuff or I use ics leaked to start off from

Help with unlocking bootloader and and root

I should never have upgraded. When you plug the phone in now you cannot choose usb or charge only now it by default goes to usb. So now I cant get into adb interface.......is tjere a new method neing worked up?

I tried to get get my token fro mm dev site but it errored out.....so I tried the cmd way but it wont connect with adb shell.....so I cant push su ajd recovery that way....

nope not without s-off and you need root for that

I would suggest searching first. There are plenty of threads like this made up.
