Full review coming soon of HTC vs TMo vs Otterbox cases

There's been a lot of posts about cases lately and I'm obsessive over having the best suited case for my phones. As of last night I now have all the big name cases. The OEM "hard shell" case made by HTC, the hard rubberized one sold by T-Mobile, as well as the Otterbox. I'm working on a full review with pics in between my studying and classes so I'll try to have it up by late tonight or tomorrow at the latest.
I have to say I'm not FULLY satisfied with any of them, as they each definitely have flaws, but at least people will be able to see which one best suits their needs.

Sweet man! I've got the otterbox and the tmo hard rubber case, and i actually use the otterbox for the back and the rubber for the front. I love it. I'm interested to see what you do.

Just ordered the Otterbox since the HTC OEM snap on case isn't available anywhere!

Got class this morning and called into work this afternoon, but ill have it up by this evening for sure. I'm using the otter back and trying to figure out what to do for the front

And btw, what does OEM stand for? Haha

OEM is original equipment manufacturer, just means its an actual HTC product. Yea, right now I'm using the HTC front but I don't like how the camera button isn't covered. The tmo rubber one is just too sticky in my pockets and blocks both the top of the keyboard and the left side of the screen when trying to drag across home screens.

I have the otterbox commuter case, work's great, doesn't add to much weight to the phone.

That model seems like a bad idea. First, it seems strange to me that the front plate is held on by a really small and flimsy looking hook. That to me gives me the impression that it could fall off really easily.
Also, the sides being open around the screen mean pocket lint is going to collect in there and on a normally white phone it may look really bad.
Finally, he showed it off without any SIM card I noticed. I would like to see someone test the signal attenuation that is caused by the all metal case. It may not affect signal at all but I would want someone else to confirm that before plunking down ~$30.

Just wait a few months, they will be sold for $12-16.

I got one on Friday. It fits our device fine but it is a complete piece of garbage. Very cheap feeling, finish is crap and the front part that slides in is not secured well.

We will hold out hope for someone to produce an aluminum bumper worthy of the HOX.

[Flip Case] found a flip case on ebay

I was kinda attracted to the flip cases available for the htc one x ..
after a small resear found some .. but the one which i liked the most is

I haven't tried it but is be scared to use one without a screen protector

27$ that's too much , with the fact that i dont know for how much time will i carry my ONE X .. hehehe..
actually i was looking for something like the SAMSUNG NOTE CASE ..

Thats a really good looking case, but I've been rolling naked for a while and i have the same concern about sand as superchilpil, don't want any more scratches

I'm a little concerned that the camera hole won't fit perfectly, but I will certainly let you know when I receive it. If it works this might be the best flip case out there.

I ordered one, the brown one. So hopefully in a week or so I'll have it and I'll let you guys know how it fits and works.

Got this original HTC flip case from expansys.com and it's quite legit! Also downloaded smart screen off app, that way phone screen would automatically turn on and off when open/closed the flip. Worth the money!

I ordered the black one, we'll see what happens when it comes off the boat and to my door. Currently using the ballistic case for my HOX as my daily, I work in a garage and its been great! This would be a great out of work case.

I waited for like 3 weeks because it was out of stock and it came from the UK into US and then shipped to me to Puerto Rico. But as far as I know they have like 7 on stock

Hey folks,
I'm really gettin mad about HTC providing a case like this for the One X, which actually doesn't need protection as much as the One S, but not for our baby:

How about Tmobile's D30 case? I love mine. It's shock absorbent. Truthfully its probably made out of better material then htcs. Yea its not mesh but it protects the whole phone save the screen obviously

That's my favorite case, for any phone. The gf has one and I wish they made it for the One X.

The D30 looks quite cool, but I'm looking for a really thin case and the D30 is rather thick.

That's just the right idea and I've found cases like this as well. Only problem: they're open at buttom and top and those areas need most protection imo.

Thinnest case, cruzerlite or dizzio cases man. Super durable and super thing and light.

Motorola A2 without a case?

Does anyone carry their Atrix 2 without a case? I have the Otterbox, and I do like it, but it bring so much bulk to it and makes it hard to do something as simple as putting it in my pocket etc...I've been going back and forth.

I don't have any case for my atrix simply cause i can't find one and the otterbox one will cost me around 50$

I'd keep the case on it. Better safe and bulky than sorry and broken.
I have the defender series otterbox and its saved my ass several times.

I have a Body Glove that doesn't add much thickness when I have the stock battery in, and when I have the extended battery I have no case. The body glove is nice.
I'll be selling the whole kit and phone as soon as I pick up the Nexus 4.

I am using a shellster and the shell case itself is sturdy does what it is there to do, safeguarding the mobile, doesnt add much bulk and costs only 850 rs or about $17

I've always used this case and I love it! No bulk, eye catcher and is fully functional with it on. Less then $5 on amazon. Go check it out.

Not at all... Very easy to press. Same goes for the power button and camera button. Those are the only ones covered. Aux, HDMI, Charging port, MIC's, speaker and camera all open. Its a great case. Everyone else seems to gawk over it more then me lol. Probably cuz I'm used to it

I use an extended battery, so it doesn't have a case. When I had/have the regular battery in, I use a Body Glove.

I ran an otter box commuter for a long time. After a year and many many drops (I work on a dock), the silicone is tearing and loosening. The plastic has cracked in a couple places. I still swear by them tho. I ran over my ATRIX 1 w the forklift. Visibly it looked fine but the digitizer was toast. Even the glass wasn't broken. Anyways. Long story short I love em. I stopped using a case tho once I went extended batt. If you're gonna rock the box, get one on eBay. Pay about half price.

It's called a TPU clear argyle design. If you amazon search that for the Motorola Atrix 2 you'll find it there. It is very stylish n slim. Hope this helped n I hope ya get one to enjoy! :thumbup:

Usу now my A2 without case, but this looks great.
Its very exepnsive to order somehing from amazon 4 me (live in Ukraine).
Try to find it in local internet stores.

I use a white Ottebox Communter case for 6 months and planed to buy a defender case

My boyfriend used to keep the otterbox case on his A2, he ended up taking it off because of the bulk too... He's been fine without it for about a year now. Still looks new... I think he dropped it once. Haha.

90% of the time my A2 is in the Otterbox case I picked up at the $5 AT&T sale during...last summer? But since I do have a lapdock and the vehicle dock (and am going to be experimenting with a desk dock shortly) ... the case comes off. Thankfully, it's a pretty easy on and off, and I feel like the phone is very safe/protected when it is in the case.
To our Ukrainian friend...your best bet for cases may be something like eBay UK or eBay RU. Good luck!

I have used my atrix without a case for a while through now with a dinged up bezel I regret my choice to carry it naked.
