1 go to the android market and download Gameboid lite (free)
2 now download a "bios" for the emulator (link removed)
3 next step go to (link removed) download the roms "games" you want
4 extract the game/rom file from the folder you downloaded using a program like "winrar" easily found on google
5 save bios and extracted games onto your memory stick, i suggest creating a new folder called GBA or something and putting them in there for convenience
6 right with all of your stuff saved onto your memory card open gameboid and firstly it will ask you to locate the bios file from your memory card, simple enough you just browse the card, next it will ask you to select the game you want to play, after done that you can take it from their you will see a settings menu you dont need to change anything
7 one exited the setting menu your free to play.
NOTES
*games save
*i sugest downloading pokemon red if you used to play the pokemon games
* should work on other models i just have the desire
*game play is smooth and just as fast as it was on the gba
*download many games as the file sizes are unbelievably small

Sorry, meant, how do i install games onto FPSece on my LG incite
Please and thank you
I seriously doubt your PDA can even handle PSX games.. let alone store more than one ROM on your Phone.. but if you really want to then i guess you should google it.
I googled it from before, but i found the game in 30 parts (Disc 1, part 1, Dis 2, Part 2, etc...)
nd they were all RAR files, so how am i supposed to install that as a ROM

Click to collapse
The sharing of psx roms is illegal and the discussion of warez is banned on this site
EDIT: I didnt realize that talking about getting links to roms was illegal until i read the post before me so i just deleted the links
I broke down the steps just to make them easy to follow because i remember searching for a while when trying to play my first game
I assume that you already extracted teh fpsece zip file to your phone. If you didn't yet, make sure you make a new folder on your phone somewhere on the sd card and label it Fpsece, or whatever you like as long as you can locate it. When you downloaded fpsece, it should be in a zip. Extrap all of the files in the zip (yes all of them) to the folder that you created on your sd card. Once extracted, go to your phone and open up File Explorer and find the new folder you created. Next click on FPSEce.exe (it has a playstation icon). From there you should be in the main menu. Select Options, Bios, Choose bios, and select SCPH1001.BIN. Now that you have selected it, go to options, Misc, Display, and select Portrait suince you dont have a keyboard or if you have a bluetooth gaming pad, you can select Landscape.
Now to play the game, press start, and if the game ends in like .bin, .iso, .img, .nrg, .z, .bz, or .znx, press ISO and select the game. If the game ends in .psx, .exe, .elf, or .cpe, press ESE. You should be able to play the game now!
Hee hee, its Leo from VG Cats. I like their comics. Happy Holidays!
THis thread is going now where and dur to questionable material, i am closing it.
ok i found out what it is we need to do to use save files from other emulators or dexdrive saves on our evo's.
1st. there are many dexdrive saves located at http://www.gamefaqs.com. goto the ps1 list, select your game and then goto the tab "saves". dexdrive saves are full dumps of ps1 memory cards. these files are in .gme format and we need to convert them over to .mcr format.
then download this http://www.aldostools.org/memoryconverter.zip. it is a memory card file converter. it will not run in windows 7 64 for me. i ran it in a xp virtual machine that i have built and it worked just fine. other os's i have no clue about. when you run it, it asks you for the memeory card file. use the .gme file and then hit convert. it defaults to saving it as a bleem save game but if u click the drop down menu and select the top .mcr file, epsxe i think, and then click finished.
now connect your phone to the pc and toggel usb. go the the .psx4droid directory and copy your files here. i had allready made a save game and just renamed the new one to the one i allready had.
Dude you're the man! Thanks, this is exactly the information I was looking for. The program I used was different from yours: http://moberg-dybdal.dk/psxge/
It works on windows 7, though I can't make it save more than 1 save per memory card, so I use card 2 for the dexdrive save. Also, it saves it as a different format, I think ".mcd" but I just renamed the file "mem0002.mcr" or whatever that stock name was, and it works just fine.
Thanks again bro! The psx4droid's usefulness has definitely gone up big time!
PS save states to PSX4droid save states
This is great to use with Memory cards but I was trying to find a work around for some games which freeze at the start screen.
I was hoping to take the .psv save state I can get from a pre loaded Metal Gear Solid and then convert it to the same type of save state in psx4droid and do a quick load and see if I can skip the title screen thus enabling me to play the game from where the save state left off.
The load option freezes in MGS as well so my memory card save from my PC psx emulator does not do me any good.
Oddly enough the disc 2 seems to work fine at the menu to start and load a new game...problem being it asks you to insert disc 2 and then you are screwed. I am going to try and convert a disc 2 save of MGS and see if I can load disc 2 on my Nexus one.
I have the same problem with Parasite Eve 2 freezes as soon as it boots.
this thread is the best thing that i have ever found. i was searching how to do this all over the internet, and it was right here all along. thanks fellas!
edit: does anyone know how to change the block number of the saved games?
I'm trying to figure out a way to save my roms into a dropbox folder so I can easily access them from my computer to play with a 360 controller on my tv. I guess the first question is: would saves states from different emulators work together.
I think tasker would be the best way, and I tried setting something up, but couldn't figure out a good way to really automate it. There isn't an option in the emulators to change the save game location.
By default all of the saves (using save states - I don't use in game saves) go in sdcard/roms/nes or snes or genesis with the name of the file as *game title*.ss1 .ss2 .ss3 (different slots).
I think the best way would be to set up the following in tasker. On nesoid launch/snesoid launch/genesis launch, copy .ssx files from dropbox/nes-genesis-snes to their respective folders on the sdcard. Then, on closing an emulator on the phone, copying from the sdcard to dropbox.
If somebody could help me with this, I would really appreciate it.
Hey everyone. I was playing some games on VBA (gameboy advance emulator) on my PC. About halfway through the game I saved the game (.sav file) and transferred it to my Xperia Play so I could continue on gameboid.
The import worked great and I was able to play while traveling. Problem is now I want to switch back to the PC and gameboid wont save my game (battery save) - it will only save using a save state.
I cant find any way to load the save state in any emulators on the PC. I read on a couple places that you couldnt battery save using the lite version of gameboid. So I checked to see if I downloaded the wrong one. Looks like I didnt - Gameboid 2.4.7. I obtained it via a QR code from the developer's site since it isnt on the marketplace anymore.
Any ideas here?
Fix
I had a similar issue using an emulator as well. It happens when you try to use a save from a different device. I found out that you need to fix the permissions if you do this. Basically it works like this:
- [Device One] You install the emulator, load a rom, and save your data.
- Copy the .sav to [Device Two] load a rom, then save OVER that .sav
- Copy the .sav BACK to [Device One] load rom, load save (works fine) but overwriting doesn't work.
when this happens you need to set the permissions of the .sav, and of the folders that contain it and it will work fine again.
Hope this helps.
GemRB. Has anyone heard of this or managed to get it to work on the Kindle Fire? I first ran into this on my Moto Atrix, and was able to get it to work, but haven't yet attempted it on Kindle yet. For anyone that doesn't know, this is the Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale/Planescape: Torment engine, and pretty much acts like a .exe file. The way that I got it to work on my Atrix was just to install it on my pc, then copy and paste it into a certain directory, minus the original bg.exe file. Any thoughts?
How have I never heard of this?! I am devoting all of my time to make this work starting ......now. I WILL have it! Keep this thread updated if you manage to get it to work'
Working
I managed to get it working! At least with IceWind Dale 2.
Bear with me........
1. Uninstall GemRb on your Fire
2. Reinstall Apk and choose to download ALL OPTIONS including the Baldurs Gate 2 Demo (the uninstall and reinstall may not be necessary but i did this to ensure that the .cfg file was over-written
3. As you can see the demo works flawlessly. That is tits!
4. open the directory from your kindle on your pc: app-data/gemrb .....blah blah so that the game files are showing, and move it to the side. We will be using this later.
THESE STEPS CAN BE AVOIDED IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH SPACE ON YOUR DEVICE TO OVERWRITE. I DID NOT
PLEASE NOTE: WE WANT TO OVERWRITE THE ORIGINAL GAME WITH THE FILES ON KF NOT VICE VERSA
5. Create a folder on your desktop and name it merge or chubbles or whatever you wish.
6. open the directory on your pc. with your completely installed game . Select ALL and copy it to merge folder. Have a cup of coffee.
7. select all and CUT the files from the Kindle directory to the merge folder and overwrite all files when asked. Have another cup of coffee because this takes a while with the KF transfer speeds.
8. Select all and COPY the overwritten files back onto the KF. At this point you should probably go pee from all that coffee and the transfer speeds, at least for me, are horrendous.
9. The only other steps are to modify a few settings in Gemrb.cfg. I DID NOT change any of the pathing or directory lookup, just the Name and initials of the game (iwd2)
This should work for the other infinity engine games, although I have yet to try them. Icewind Dale 1&2 were the only games that I did not complete in my formative years.
