It is sure amazing for all developers except "GAMELOFT".
Im tired of hearing their same sh*t again n again:
"Hi ! Sorry for the issue. Please contact [email protected] and give them as much info as possible. Have a nice day ! "

I have to agree there.
I've heard their support is just horrible.
Luckily though, I haven't had the need to contact them. Yet...

This feature should have been there from beginning ... So others can see if a developer answers to a doubt or fix who are in same situation

Honestly I'm the same.
It should've been there since the start. But then again, iOS doesn't have it. So it seems like were not "late".
It would be good if the user got an email notifying them that the Dev has replied to them.

Wish they could let other users reply to reviews as well. I get really annoyed when I see someone leave a bad review for an app due to their lack of knowledge. For example any popular app that clearly states it requires root will usually have some 1 star reviews saying it doesn't work on my phone.

Don't get me started on that. And also the "how do I root my [email protected] <insert phone here>???!!!?!" comments. They're just utterly childish. But we do have the option to rate the comment down.
Haven't seen any other Developers using the new feature yet (better give them time, it only came out yesterday ), but hope the use it soon. It's useful.

Same. developers have to feed all users even if the requests are stupid, otherwise they will get 1 star. Why not also rating to users?
And this is only offered to TOP developers at this time.

come on devs give this to normal devs already

Nice App
I coach a soccer team and this App looks like it would be perfect. So far it works flawlessy. If you are looking for recommendations maybe have it so that you can look at the reals for u16 leagues u14 leagues so on and so forth because the younger you get the rules change ever so slightly but enough to make this app incorrect. It would then be usable by farrr more people. Either way a must have app for coaches, refs, players, and their parents. Always good to know the rules.
thats perfect
thats perfect, now im happy cause you are the first person telling me that found my app usefull and that it works as it should...
now i should search for fifa's book about younger ages...(in my country i thing there are u15, u17 and u21 - so i dont know what to put)...anyway i will look at this in the next 2 weeks cause am working on some other apps right now...
anw thanks for the feedback...
Does your app compensate for FIFAs idiocy?
In all seriousness, the app looks neat! Can't wait to try it.

I do not know what country you are in but in the US there is U17, U16, and U15 as well as U14, U12, U10, and U8 in most rec leagues. A good source for the U17- U15 is http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/index.html hope this helps.
thanks for the info i will take a look but as i said suddenly those 2 weeks am busy with some other apps so you dont expected an update soon...
Might want to specify it's for soccer not football for us Americans. Otherwise it worked fine for me.
i was thinking about it but i decide not to include it in order to have a short name...but i should include it in descriptions...
Im going to try this app becauze im a huge soccer fan, and most of the time i hate refs. Maybe this app lets me understand them.
i get a server error on de market,... i ll try again later..
hope you like it...

(Survey) Attention Android YouTube App Users

Dear XDA-Community,
It has come to my attention to all the dislike comments on the YouTube android app in the marketplace and somewhat on this forum. After countless problems in the app ( stops, freezes, crashes etc) I decided to take charge of this situation. Instead of blasting the developers of the app, I decided to help them... With that said I have created a video explaining the problem I'm personally having with the application, also I took it a step further and created a web-based form with a series of questions. This is was all done 3 days ago and believe or not the YouTube team has responded to me and thanked me for my work. They also wanted me to send the data I collected from my form. So by filling out the form from the link below, I'll be able to send it to them and they can access the problem.
So what I'm asking you guys to Do?
1) Please visit the form and answer all the questions. (Click Here)[est. 35 secs]
2) Watch the video I posted and comment on it. (View Here)
3) That's all, watching the video is completely optional, but filling out the form is required.
Without them knowing our problems how do expect this situation to be fixed? Let Us Help Them Help Us

Thanks for taking up the case with Google regarding the new app.
Will keep an eye on this, Sam.
I find it strange how some people have major issues with some apps and others don't. The youtube app works great for me.

Very cool!
Great Idea! good job =P
maybe now they'll start moving their a**es and fix the damn app..
this is what I like, people who doesn't just talk and complaining but do something useful.
I like your style man. Willing to fill in the form, but I'm not having any problems with my YouTube App (which I use on regular basis)

Its a good initiative!!! althought I am using the app over wifi.. i didn't see any problem yet.. I still gave the survey
Dear Forum,
Come on and help pass this post around and get memebers to complete the survey. Youtube can't do much when they have less than 20 submits. For them to actualy get a good feedback there needs to be at least 50 survey respnses. I'm kinda disappointed becasue everyone sits and complains but, when theres help or a way to fix the problem nobody likes taking action.
PLEASE TAKE THE SURVEY
Survey
filled it in
free bump!
maybe we should get this onto the XDA portal; pass this onto the news crew so they publish it on to the XDA front page
Yes we should. Thanks Again!
Great! Thanks!

[APP]vocab++ visual flashcards

Hey everyone,
I've just released an Android app called vocab++, which uses images (each one of which is curated by hand) to assist users in boosting their vocabulary. It's built on the principle of visual association (remember when we were kids, and our books were filled with illustrations to help us learn new words?).
The app is designed for those preparing for standardized tests, though others can benefit from it, too. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
You can find it in the Google Play Store! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appsculture.vocab

yes, it's for English-based standardized tests.
Where are these definitions coming from cause I've found at least one that isn't exactly correct. Apocryphal. It say "untrue; made up" when it actually means "of questionable or unknown origin" or "of questionable validity." While similar that's a very different definition than the right one.

If I did I'd be charing you all a LOT for it No, the initial plan was to bring in the images using the Google Search API or Bing or something, but the quality of images coming through was pretty horrific. I wasn't even close to being happy, but I felt the idea was extremely strong. As such, I hired someone to find images from around the web to link to a word.
Quite a handy app.. Thanks dev.. The pictures don't show up unless I tap Show Image manually.. is that how it's supposed to be?

Will be adding that in the next update (coming this weekend). Also, it would change the colour of the flashcards according to the kind of word, to increase the degree of visual association.

currently, yes. But I'm working on adding custom preferences to the next update (coming this weekend) with an "Always Show Image".
Great app =) It would be nice to have a "Random" mode though (random words, also not for a specific test)

Hi nishanthhh! I'm one of the Say What You See developers!
Are you sure it froze? The app downloads quite a bit of data when it's first loaded, so you may need to be patient?
If it did fully crash, it'd be great to know what sort of device and OS version you're using so we can try and fix it for you!
Really like to hear from anyone else about the app too - it's our first Android app, so we really want to make it as great an experience as possible!
Or, y'know, at least have it so that you can play the flipping thing.
Cheers,
Jon

Tried the game and had no fcs. The good thing is that it works and is fun. The bad thing is that its quite difficult cause I never had an iPhone or heard of this game. Just one request, I want to zoom in on the picture more cause its quite small and I have to strain my eyes.
ok I tried this app but as a french guy this is clearly too difficult for me, not to mention im not really a movie fan

Hi Juhan! We'll see if we can increase the magnification a bit, certainly down't want to send you running to the opticians!
Hi Jon_SWYS, I have just sent an email to yourselves via your online form with some suggestions and a bug report.
I will attach the email here so anyone else can also comment on if they have the same problems?
I have a few suggestions and a bug report for the current version.
Suggestions: I have been playing this on my Nexus 7, and because the keyboard takes up quite a bit of room, you can't always see the full, flashing clue as it is obscured by the keyboard. Would there be a way that we could hide the keyboard, while keeping the clue flashing and highlighted?
Possibly being able to scroll while the clue is highlighted would be beneficial too, but that is less of an issue.
Bug report: On my Nexus 7, when I try and buy more coins I get a "Sorry there was a problem making a purchase on this device. Please check that your System is up to date and you have the latest version of Google Play installed. I am running 4.2.1. It works on my Galaxy Nexus running 4.2.
I hope this report helps, and my suggestion makes some sense?

Please ignore the Bug Report! It was a setup issue on my Tablet!!

techhelpfox appearing in many searches

this doesnt exactly have to do with mobile devices , but im sick of techhelpspot results appearing in most of my google searches that would otherwyse send XDA results, the only thing that site does is steal the info here in the forums, and then giving you a link to xda (and other tech sites)
i cant see a way to block it , so i wanted to make sure its not something in my pc hijacked or anything else.
example using google.com (us) example search: galaxy s3 clock aokp
here is an example image with results:

another one: atrix hd swype apk
any idea why is this happening or if its only me?
i hate to go there just to click on a link that will bring me here, i think that site is new, xda results used to come on top before.
*MODS if not correct forum section please move or delete. thank you
Happens to me too.. hate it. It's just spam search engine designed to steal ad revenue :/

It's basically a search engine but designed for finding similar questions. Kind of useful, but also a bit annoying.
When you do a Google search, just include
site:forum.xda-developers.com
At the start and it will only search within the XDA forums.

XDA wasn't even on the first page, yet all the information on techstupid was from XDA...
After submission, Google suggested this add-on https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-webspam-report-by/efinmbicabejjhjafeidhfbojhnfiepj , which I have to say I will use relentlessly, and I recommend you do the same. It allows you to navigate to the webspam site, then click a button and have the form auto-filled for you.
Maybe even better though, is this add-on, https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/personal-blocklist-by-goo/nolijncfnkgaikbjbdaogikpmpbdcdef which allows you to click "Block xxxxx.com" from the search results. I think I'll report a few hundred techstupid pages and then click the blocker.
Hope this helps someone else!
Reported to Google! Hate this site so much, waste my time on every search. Hope this stupid techhelpfox.com site to die soon.
