[Q] Can I use TF300T As mass media storage? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I downloaded a lot of movies with subtitles on my PAd 300 and when I plug it to my TV through USB it doesn't detect it as mass media storage.
I know that with the HDMI I can duplicate the pad's screen, but I don't have the cable
So, is there a way to make my Samsung TV detect anyhow by USB?

[Q] no sd or sd2

I hooked my g-tab via USB to a viera blu-ray player and viewed my photos on my TV. After viewing I stopped the USB service and disconnected my tab. Now I can't see the sd or sd2 and the tab will not mount via USB. Should I repartition and start over?

[Q] Can you use USB in host mode?

Can you use the USB in host mode on the transformer?
Can it host multiple USB storage with a USB hub? (say a camera and a hard drive, so I can get the files off)
Thanks

People have said you can use the USB ports on the dock as a host for thumb drives and such. And if the dock does not enable it today it should work 3.1 ships. Check the second item (USB), http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-3.1-highlights.html
Thanks guys, I have done the search already.
I'm more interested in the experience of the transformer users, and would love to know if anyone got it to work
^^ the link i posted has several users and their experiences with what did and did not work.....
Not sure if I understand the question correctly. This morning I "loaded" my TF with everything I had: microSD, SD, external HDD, and MP3 player, all at once, while connected to the PC using the proprietary ASUS cable. I could access everything without problem.
For those who wonder - I did this only to find out where what is mounted...

Media output through USB?

Is it possible to connect a projector on the USB port and show a movie on the big screen?
I know it can be done through HDMI port, but what about USB?

XPERIA T External HDD

Hello XDA!
I need to record a 9 Hour 1080p Timelapse with my XPERIA T. Now, storage problem. My XPERIA T has a SD limitation of 32GB.
Connecting a 80GB IDE hard drive via a IDE to USB convertor, and then connect that USB to my phone, via a USB OTG cable that supports charging the phone, and then record that movie directly to the HDD. Sounds crazy, doesnt it? But is is possible?

USB cable for Streaming Movies?

Hry guys. New to Nvidia Shield. Was womdering if you can use the USB charging \ data cable and plug it into the usb port on the tv. Would this work? And do you need a special app to use it ?
I imagine that unless you are talking about reading some video files on your storage and playing those on the TV, no, it wouldn't work like that.
However, the Shield Portable does have a mini-HDMI port along with its micro-USB port. So you could just plug it into an HDMI port and you would have an instant mirror of your screen. In fact this is how you start up the "Console Mode" where you hook it to your TV and a charger, and you attach a Shield Wifi-Direct controller or a BT controller (or a wired USB controller I guess via a split charge/USB-OTG cable), and you have a nice way to stream your games from GRID, your comp, or native from the Shield to your big-screen TV.
TL;DR - No, wouldn't work. Don't need it though, you have an HDMI out on it.
