[Q] Capacitive home button has slow reaction on ICS LEAK - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hey guys, I have a question. Yes I searched before posting this. So I am having an issue with the one click odin ICS leak. It used to work fine but now whenever you press the home button it has a slow reaction and slightly weaker vibration. The other buttons work fine. I did a factory reset but that didnt fix it. I reinstalled the whole ics from odin. That didnt fix it. Its not the phone because it works fine on other roms. The home button still works but it has a slow reaction and weaker vibration. Thanks so much to whoever can help me!

One thing you must understand is that your using a leak which isn't official software. Aka can't expect everything to be perfect. Have you tried another leak?

Dude. Please use your spell checker or something, please.
We all use shorthand sometimes, but it becomes a bit onerous to read after a while. I do appreciate the intentions of the post though, but the wording and style may illicit unwanted responses.

Sorry. Wanted to put this in another edit but xda app acting up, as usual lol.
In an attempt to be helpful and to prevent the derailing of this thread:
I BELIEVE this has been an issue on many stock implementations of ics.
I vaguely remember talking about this stuff on the first leak. So, it would make sense that using a different rom would fix the issue as our devs are savvy to such things.

People like Eli have to start with baby steps. He goes into the dev forums and mucks up so many threads by increasing the post count it becomes very hard to get back to the reason the dev forum exist. He should read the stickies and try to understand what he's reading and Google the words he doesn't, ya its hard but its not our fault he doesn't understand English which is what this forum is written in, he has to try harder, not the other way around.......sorry for babbling

Please if its been posted, tell me where and ill read it but a quick search revealed nothing. I just picked up my inspire and when I check for HTC update it shows there is one. Do I need to update before rooting? Also what changes are there as far as any major steps to flashing a Rom. Like if I want inspired ace can I just root, flash recovery and install Rom? Or does the bootloaders need to be flashed before flashing a gingerbread Rom? Sorry for the 838393 million questions but I'm a long time Samsung user lol,I know my way around rooting and flashing but I know HTC phones can be a little different

anyway, like he said do that .. as far as the update first or not:
you can flash whatever radio you want after you are done rooting; for me i rooted before the OTA, but for wifey we did the update first.. it doesn't matter, as the info will be destroyed during the root anyway.
you cannot OTA after root from what i gather, as i was never offered the update as i was rooted

Lol sorry for putting it like that. It's just sometimes someones question sounds like one that's been answered already, but they mean it in a different specific way. Here lately people have been a little rude about the whole "its been answered" but really I just have a hard time explaining exactly what I mean in text. I don't mind reading the stickies but sometimes it gets confusing if you are new to a device and don't know what stage the development is at lol. But thanks man,ill go read the stickies and if I have any problems ill just post back here lol. Appreciate the kind answer

Well don't take it to harshly most are just sarcastic. I mean I am just sarcastic.
What doesn't help is when you can't truly tell for sure if its a playful sarcasm or mean sarcasm. It sometimes is hard to tell considering we are talking to each other in text form. There have been some posts I've read, not by you, but others, that I couldnt particularly tell if they were being mean or just being a smart @ss just to mess with someone without offending. I just wanna say something to the ones who have meant there sarcasm in a mean way. My wife's cousin coined these 2 phrases, and I like using them a lot. "Can't we all just smoke a bong!" And, "Life's a ***** and then you die, f*** the world let's get high!" Lmao ;D

My favorite method is to apply the OTA and then use Gingerbreak. Chainfire is a fantastic developer and I used gingerbreak to install rom manager, flash CWM, and get your flashing on.

installation issues

Does anyone know what programs I need to install roms. And kernels on this infuse by Samsung..also how do you do it? I really need someone to tell me how with full detail! Is it to much to ask without someone sending me a stupid link?
Don't complain about "stupid links." Surprisingly, people don't want to take the time to explain things that have already been explained. Look in the development section, look for infused 2.2.3. There is a detailed guide on how to initially flash a custom kernel then install roms.

I bought my infuse with zero android experience and was flashing custom roms with in 2 or 3 days. All I did was search, read and educate myself. The rescources are everywhere, you will save time and learn more and get a custom rom installed faster if you do like thousands upon thousands of us have done before you... Search.
I dont want to sound like an ass, i know where you are, cause i was there once to... But if you cant figure out how to flash a rom on your own, considering the countless threads, videos and rescources, then maybe you are safer sticking with stock. Cause when you do brick your phone, you will again have to figure out how to fix it.
In the time you posted and waited for a reply you could have figured it out on your own.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using XDA App
Don't want to sound rude or mean, but this is one reason many many devs are leaving the infuse forums -- people unwilling to read, being impatient and being pushy.

We're just saying you cluttered our forum with one thread, we answered you, then you went and made the EXACT same thread a couple hours later.
We tried to help. You ignored it and then in this thread you complained about the type of help we gave you.
We can't hold your hand through the process, you have to read, watch the vids.
And you say you did read. Then why don't you have CWM, I literally walked you through it step by step in your other thread.
I'm just saying I didn't even post my first message till I had already successfully flashed my first rom.
Read.

Gapps links not working for me.

Ive tried multiple links for Gapps, and none of them are working, I'm pretty sure they all point to the same page. does anyone have the latest one I need it for a rom I just flashed.

Some devs post their own version. Double check the thread for your rom.

There is official CM9 support, theres also official AOKP support so if you want to go for any of those just head over to the discussion threads in general. Many new good roms being produced since official ICS came out yesterday so just head over to the development forum and you'll see a lot. UCLF6 is the latest ICS so those based around that version will have the most recent one. :good:

Got my SR a month ago and the development seems to have really picked up. Big thank you to all the devs, more options than I can handle. Our Atrix 2 (not mine now - so sorry) come from many markets with little bit of hardware and software difference, so be careful to post anything here. Maybe it works well on your phone but could give a hard brick on the others.
I think people here should be patient and wait until some testing and confirmation from our trusted Devs. This is extremely time sensitive !

This is the RAZR bootstrap... and just because it boots doesn't mean its working...The current bootstrap we have boots under ICS but isn't fully functional. This is your second time posting a fix with out doing any research. If a newbie spotted this thread, they might install it thinking it works and viola they have a bricked phone. So please unless you REALLY know how to fix things and have dev experience please don't post every possible fix that MIGHT work.

It's not you or your work. It's the fact that there have been a lot of hard bricks and we need to be extra careful about releasing anything for the ics leak. It needs to be tested by more than one person. It might work for you but not someone else. We are all being cautious, that's all.

I locked to stop with the arguments but I will leave the links. As always if you brick your device its no ones fault except your own. We all choose to mod our phones with the risks it posses. If he says it work I'm not inclined to say it doesn't. But devices vary by build and region so to everyone be careful.
