Wifi error - Ordroid - HTC Sensation

Okay I have the sensation xe and I have recently flashed ordroid 9.0.0 to it. However, I get a Wifi error. I am S-ON but have manually flash my boot.img
What can I do?
Thanks!

Try flashing another kernel and using 4ext custom recovery would also help and enable smart flash that way you don't have to manually flash the boot.img

WiFi errors with S On & Unlocked is almost always a module mismatch related issue.

You can try to flash a rom to start your phone again try that.

Did you flash anything or mod the phone in any way? If all you did was accept an official update leading to this boot loop I would call HTC or your carrier and have them fix it!

OP said they had the phone S-OFF but still running stock ROM - wouldn't the S-OFF be an issue for warranty?
Maybe the OTA update couldn't or didn't properly update the radio/bootloader/recovery segment - that would cause an ICS ROM to fail boot. I think trying to reflash the old stock ROM, or a GB-based custom one, is the first thing to try. Failing that, maybe manually flash the appropriate ICS firmware/radio package for the OTA ROM (see this thread)

Did these flash OK (even though you are unable to boot them)? Recovery would have notified you of the result.
If so as above post, update firmware with the firmware needed for the last from you successfully flashed. Post if you get stuck.

Im maybe experiencing the same problem. Here's what happened. I was using internet-pass-through with my Sensation XE for me download games and saw in my notifications that there's an available system update which is the android 4.0, etc. I downloaded the file and installed it but right after i got stucked with picture of an android and beside it is a exclamation point in a triangle. I removed the batt and turned on the phone and nothing happened, nothing new. So, I searched in youtube and saw a way of updating ICS in my phone. My phone had S-off but still using Stock rom. I entered the bootloader then CWM then formatted the system, cache, then tried to update to ICS since i got the zip file already in my SDcard. After then, the installation was aborted, it says cannot fine system/build.prop or something. I rebooted my fone and I got stucked up with the HTC logo and white screen. Omg please help me. I'm crying. I just bought the fone. :'(

I have been trying to fix this for weeks since I got the phone....
I installed 1.17, and that did nothing but put me into a complete bootloop.
I put the modified version here that was posted Tessut, fixed permissions in 4EXT and booted into my ROM (Energy 3-15.12), and same ****...no sensors.
I have even installed the RUU for ICS from HTC (EU version only as there is no ICS RUU for TMOUS yet)...and then I installed my custom ROM and same issue.
I have tried the Stock Kernel and the Bricked Kernel (Bricked-3.0-v1.1-ics), and no success.
I AM SuperCID'd: 11111111
I am also noticing that I am not the only one with this problem with any fixes applied also. The hardware is functional, I have tested the chipsets individually and they are on and working, just no readings (events).
At this point I am ready to pay someone money if they come up with a successful fix. If you have a PayPal account I am more than willing to contribute a fair price if I can get this **** working!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have lost all hope on this :-(

@Tessut: I am guessing that this is the only solution we have now.....perhaps when the ICS release is finally made it will solve our problems.
Otherwise I have a phone here that is VERY frustrating to use with no sensors....

Same issue
I had the same issue with my sensation. I reflashed everything. I Flashed arhd 6.7. With beats and it works quite well now only issue so far is mobile Internet Speed. I'm reading through all the forums because usually every issue has been addressed and solved somewhere on this website. This is one heck of a Site. I'm going to try to do my part the best I can
I got the same issue that indresh88 said in the first post.
And i've also tried the fix that Echo237 suggested.
So.. i'm now with fw 3.33 with stock ICS rom and i've also flashed the root and tried wifix manager from the market.
Nothing is working. WiFi won't turn on, just remain with the message "Activating Wi-Fi..."
Any idea about what i can do?
try going back to stock again by using flashing a different ruu I have 3.32 and its with sense 3.6 it my work for you at this point its worth a try and keep it on stock for a while and monitor the WiFi but before you flash the ruu make sue you relock your device and then fastboot OEM writesecureflag 3

I think so, the phone isn't mine.
I'm sure only that is s-off with hboot 1.27.
I've flashed the latest htc stock version: RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.33.401.6_Radio_11.76A.3504...

I think so, the phone isn't mine.
I'm sure only that is s-off with hboot 1.27.
I've flashed the latest htc stock version: RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.33.401.6_Radio_11.76A.3504...
I try to downgrade to 1.50 and 1.28 but give me the same error (I hate android, it give me only the message error...what kind of error?!).

The last chance and the ABSOLUTE one, is fixing permissions.
After searchin a lot n talkin with whole lotta peep around the world, when i found no solution, eventually when i was cycling thru the tweaks, i tapped fix permissions n now it works quite awesome!
Go into your recovery (as u said, cwm touch) n go to (i think) tools section, then "fix permissions".
Press thanks if worked.

I try arhd 6.8.0 with faux123 kernel.
Try fix permission.
No wifi.
After all this maybe is an hardware problem, wifi module broken...
