Freakin sweet! The decision to get this phone becomes better every day!

I just see this as one more thing that's going to need to be stripped out of whatever ROM I'm running. Androids stock voice control already does literally everything I need for voice control, and it does it flawlessly every time. No need for improvement, especially by means of a gimmicky (and surely buggy) voice assistant.

Might be cool. You never know. And I'm sure it will be tons better than siri, since it runs on android.

I just wish it launched apps. But here's a weird thing, voice dialer DOES.

Htc speak was a fake. It was a final joke culminating their Pet week on Facebook.

Is that statement straight from HTC? About it being a joke. I found posts about HTC speak from February.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2

Yeah. I read on engadet that an HTC spokesman said there's no htc voice assist app in the works.

So its like a mirror reflective from the back camera to your face? Pretty clever I say.
They haven't release it yet they call it onemoreface, I think they are still in the state of building it maybe a few more months hopefully january and when they finally release it hopefully its compatible with G2. This addon will solved my issues regarding my constant use of video call :happy:excited:

I Hope this will get released soon and for a few different models other then the Nexus One in the picture, I will buy at least two one for my Nexus the other for the HTC Desire Z , but I got a funny feeling that by the time this rolls out it might be to late, within the next six months most smart phones will all have what Nokia has been doing for years, front face cameras, then this gadget will be to late.

It would be too late if in six months everyone ditches their phone for one with an ffc. Ill have my g2 longer than that. And I don't know why it would take 6 months to release two mirrors that mount to the top of your phone. You could ?ake this for yourself right now it looks like.

[APP] Working Swype

I woke up to jack hammers in my basement this morning so I wasn't in the greatest of moods. Now that I've had my coffee...
party on Wayne
MOD EDIT: Link removed
Updated June 20th
Completely revamped Swype, hopefully this doesn't need installer but anyways we no longer need hacked Note versions.
MOD EDIT: Link removed
Thanks to Scrosler for pointing out the update. Would have never noticed till I read Android Central lol
*root users*
I noticed that Swype has some shady permissions such as call log monitoring and some other funky business. Anyways if you don't like Swype constantly knowing what you're up to them check this free app out.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lbe.security.lite
I can't believe I never used this before, noticed maps is constantly checking in, well not anymore you don't. GET YOUR TINFOIL HATS!
FYI - Touchpal Keyboard also works as swype
Swype works as Swype, touchpal works as touchpal

I'm pretty sure I was using swype earlier this month until I started using SwiftKey instead.

I wouldn't get all that depressed. I haven't noticed a whole lot of difference between my HOX running CR4.5 (based on 4.0.4) and my Nexus 7. Main differences are cosmetic.
Project butter doesn't appear to make much of a difference. The two seem equally fast, though the Nexus sometimes opens certain apps a bit faster.

[Q] Anyone have any idea about this special edition AT&T HTC One X?

So I have this phone now and have been using it for about a week. Not really sure what edition it is. I can't find anything on Google about it or any pictures anywhere that seem to match up. It is an AT&T model I know that. I have already rooted it and am running CleanROM on it, but it started as a normal AT&T One X.
The is dark blue with stars all over it and says USA 2012 with the beats audio logo. There is no carrier branding on the outside of the phone. Where it normally says AT&T on the front is HTC. I attached some pics.

I figured it is special Olympic model. I just didn't know if anyone had heard anything about it. One of my clients is an Olympic athlete. He sent this to me to use as a development phone. He has tons of other ones apparently (android phones) and this was just hanging out unused.
The stars on it are actually printed on the shell. You can feel them raised a bit when you rub your fingers over them.

I'm not sure it's mine to sell. It was sent to our office to use, but there is always the chance they could ask for it back. As I said, it was given as a dev phone to be able to program it (or just about any android device for that matter) for Crestron control of his house.
