Download a htc explorer rom and unzip it on your computer. Rummage through the extracted files and the apps with their .odex should be there somewhere

Appreciate if you can advise on where to find a stock ROM in zip format.
Thanks!
okay found it on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603957
but when I try to install it, it says, "application not installed". My PICO is T-Mobile branded.
Any help would be appreciated.

noob question: do I need both the apk and odex file? Do I install it through something like astro, or just place it in the system folder?

I think the odex files are useless, they must be created on the DI for its use upon installation. They must be copied to the /system/app folder in recovery, I'm not sure if they'll work from Astro . . . I doubt it since /system is locked unless in recovery, ATM.
I think odexing the files is supposed to increase performance with the dalvik cache or something.
Thank you so much.
noob question, too.... is there a walkthru guide for installing the stock apps? I accidentally erased with Titanium, without backing them up first. jejeje EVO 4G, with unrEVOked, i believ it has stock kernel. any help greatly appreciated.
Download a file manager like root explorer and just put them into system/apps and reboot... That's how I've done it

Does not work in HTC Desire Z. Do any of you have Desire Z sense mail apk?
Noob question. I'm looking for a friend to add some of the Sense apps to his CM7 install. Is it possible to just add the stock apk to the system?
The link doesn't work anymore and I am searching for HtcFacebook.odex. Can someone please upload it again?

Both files are in the right directories (/data/app and /system/lib), permissions are ok, rebooted, doesn't work. Sensation XE, Virtuous rom
*** Okay, it was my mistake, it has to be in the /system/app folder now Dice appears in my programs list... but at the momemt just force closes... any suggestions?

unzip the file, the lghome.apk is inside.
I'm guessing you haven't done a backup. there's a few threads over in general and or development that should be able to help.

Hi
You have to be careful while uninstalling (through titanium or similar app). Any system APKs having associated odex file should not be uninstalled unless both apk and odex files are removed using root explorer (or any similar app).
I have attached LG Home apk (stock one, which is not deodexed). Copy it in your system/app folder and restart your device.
Note: The attached zip file includes odex file which you can ignore.
Let me know it it helps.

Try this. Should work without *.odex file.
I needed the LGHome apk with the classes.dex file in the archive, but I found it here in the Forum. Thx for all the help and here's the file if anyone needs it too :
I copied the zip file to sd card and used recovery to install it.
Does not work and would not allow me to change permission on sd card.
App is in system/app but cann't change permission, hence not working. ANy clear cut help will be greatly appreciated.

process com.android.inputmethod.latin has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I am trying to make it work using htc sensation with ARHD XE ROM 3.6.7
Can anyone help me.
Where did you get the zip file? I am going to try install this version as the latest one in the HyperNoSense Rom keeps just dropping the keyboard VERY frustrating!
Replace it yourself then, it's not that hard.
the .so goes to
/system/libs
the apk goes to
/system/app
I don't know the permission for it and I don't pay attention to it. It just worked for me straight away

You need root access for that. Install root explorer or ES file explorer
put both files into system/priv-app and change their permissions like all files have in that place
Reboot your phone.
The app should be in your app list
it is in app list but crashes even on boot phone and when launch.... perhaps that files are for NON GPE motorola moto g? or what i wrong?
thanks
