Would the fix on owain94 work with EB 2.3.7 and the new baseband?

So like every rom I tried, it work great except for....
There is no perfect cure. Starting to understand that is the new status quo. No offence intended towards those that make our phones good to great.

This issue has been starred in CyanogenMod so maybe it will get fixed. CM7 now supports both BB so seems reasonable this fix may be on the way

Confirmed. Bluetooth has not been fixed. It's a shame. Other than this issue, this is the best rom this phone has seen.

Damn! i was hoping Bluetooth calling would have been fixed. I guess its an issue that can't be fixed.
How can they release a stable build with bluetooth broken ?
Just noticed a new 'fast connection' option in bluetooth settings... Kind of doubt that will help, but will confirm later... Anybody else give that option a shot yet?

CM7 nightly, RC, stable release names are for ALL supported devices. So stable just means it's stable on most devices, nothing specific to the G2x. In fact, there were only 3 changes from the previous nightly build on 0610.

Here, note that the DS driver has been deprecated in favour of the CM driver. The latest (as of this post) is P999-CM-Kernel-050b6-sv.zip.

Bluetooth not working on ASOP ROMs

I've found that with my device, I can't seem to get my bluetooth headset to work on ASOP ROMs. 2 in particular are CM7.2 stable and MoKee. It works fine with sense ROMs. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I'm sorry for asking this but could you post a link to that build. For some reason I can't find it. Thanks in advance...
Edit: all I had to do to find it was to post this. *dough* I got it. Thanks.
Why Bluetooth doesn't work is because I replace all apks from the rom I'm porting and it doesn't work

Yea, I read that in a post you made on Paranoid before. The curious thing is that it has been every asop ROM. I've tried several with negative results. I've considered it could be my headset but if it were, wouldn't it be the same on both sense and asop?

korean optimus 2x ICS release date

so i've been looking through internet for the O2x ICS date
and i found out that korean O2x will get ICS on August 31st (probably)
also another korean news says that ICS update is uploaded to the LG's server waiting to be upgraded next month or end of august
the update it self is around 538.37mb o.0
btw
if the O2x gets an OTA update
does that mean our developers can make ICS work 100% fully work on our G2x? or is it totally different???/
Once O2x gets it we can use the drivers for cyanogenmod 10.

On my p999 I've got everything working...UMS through usb, call audio no pops...camera, google now, etc...only issues are the persistent ics on g2x issues resultant from lack of source (video camera etc which doesn't affect me personally). I threw in the #2 build from the cm10 thread with a full wipedown (cache/dalvik/etc) from 9-6-12, the gapps tony linked (slightly dated build), the baseband fix from owain, haven't had any problems...no crashes etc. Only issue is the reboot from power button menu option results in a battery pull as far as stuff that's hard to live with. My sdcard is active, wifi works, haven't noticed a data drop yet, etc.
I will try it now only. Thankss for telling.

Most stable rom??

My dad's G2X is starting to drop calls now.. I forget what ROM i put on his phone but I think it was tsugi or something.. it was a while agoo.. anyways im gonna try to put on a new ROM and see if it solves the issue.. I need a smooth stable rom, no fancy stuff. hes an old man and doesnt care for that.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Cm or something based of cm7, it will be hard to match the stability

Any baseband will work. But on the march 2012 one, the bluetooth calling does not work with CM7, only stock 2.3.4!
You should throw hellfire phoenix, new version came out this week. It's probably the most stable rom I've used (based on 2.3) just change the theme up to something simple that he likes.

I've kept the June 2011 Baseband that came with the phone from Wind and it works great with the latest roms - you just have to flash "For_old_bb.zip" after the installing the rom and gapps. Just as important - you may have to experiment with different kernels as different phones (yes - of the same model P999) respond better with others. I'm using HFP 2.4 with ELP ("ELP-G2x-06022012.zip") on my Wind LG 2x (G2x) after trying to make the rom work for a few days with the base faux kernel (didn't work out so well...). Here's my post on the install: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238804&page=24
Good luck!
Eaglesblood I would trust with no hassle.Been using it for months without any problems
