Anyone know if the APN settings I have are incorrect and that may be causing me to not be able to send picture messages???
Here is what I have...
Name: ATT WAP
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username: Not Set
Password: Not Set
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: None
APN Type: internet + mms
Some of these settings are different from what I've been linked to on another forum http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...y-s-gt-i9000-mms-internet-settings-t-apn.html
The phone won't let me edit these settings at all.
Nevermind my ramblings...I've figured it out and when I changed the settings and rebooted the phone it seems to have fixed my problem with not being able to send picture messages
Anyone know it? Searching the forums on my phone didn't yield any results.

If they can we should have people from the US(TMOUS), Canada and the International who have their MMS working to post their APN's so we can see whats the difference and hopefully find the correct one or fix the problem. Hows that sound guys?

I am having a problem with the latest version of the cm9 pics from and getting and sending moms. Help please
Change your mms proxy to....
Sent from the Black Star`d ICS GNote.
What about all of the other settings. It does not allow me to edit an existing APN but only allows me to create a new one.
Name:
APN:
Proxy:
Port:
Username:
Password:
Server:
MMSC: http ://mmsc.cingular. com
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type:
APN type:
APN protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
What should I enter on all of these or should I just leave them blank and use the settings that you showed me.
Here is what mine is at on Uniporn build 39:
Name: ATT
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: [email protected]
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.32
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Auth Type: Not set
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN Protocol: IPv4
So should I make a change under the Bearer selection
It gives me 3 choices.
LTE
eHRPD
Unspecified
I have been looking for this info for hours today and can't find a simple response.
I tried the *#*#4636#*#* trick, it doesn't stick.
Can someone post APNs that force 2G, 3G, and 4G non-LTE for the AT&T One X?
Is there a working mod that installs a toggle for this?
4636 trick is working fine for me.. but i'm not in AT&T..i'm using it in india and using cleanrom std.
I'm going to answer one of my own questions here folks, this is the LTE (true 4G) disable.
go to Settings>Mobile Network>Access Point Names
Click the Menu button, and select "New APN"
Enter the following:
Name: Media Net (name doesn't really matter, as long as its different from the original APN)
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: [email protected]
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: default, supl, mms (no spaces after each comma)
Bearer: Unspecified
then hit back a few times, you may need to reboot for this to work

Its a known issue and it happens with everyone. Most likely because the LTE radio is still active , it just cant connect because the APN wont authenticate it. We need a true LTE off switch
