Aren't there just two models of the SGS3? The International Version and the version with the Qualcomm S4 SoC with 2GB of RAM?
If this is correct, couldn't we have consolidate into two forums (or one with subforums.) You could still have subforums to cover threads for Carrier specific CDMA radios, etc.
I'm worried that I'll miss some good ROMs/kernels and treads from the other 5 fourms if I just hang in the Verizon GS3 forum when my device arrives.
Thanks!

Is it just me or are these two phones one and the same.....in fact the Skyrocket is just a rebranded T-Mobile Samsung Hercules........the only difference is the so called LTE module. Plus the root method is the same and no different.....they have the same processors and the root for both of these phones is one and the same. Therefore, shouldn't the roms work for both as they share all the similar insides????
I'm sick of AT&T taking **** from T-Mobile.....
they are the same with the exception of the radio
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Hahahahaha all this uproar about Samsung supposedly hating us T989 owners and today ATT announces they're switching to the Snapdragon with their new GS2. If you ask me, it's the regular ATT GS2 with Exynos cpu that's EOL now, and development will focus on the Snapdragon devices

old news, anyone that has a SGH-T989 knew that already
they are the same phones, only the radio is different
so most roms, roots, and hacks are compatible
DEV only needs to remove any reference about the radio to make things compatible between both phones
Apologies for posting old news I found it exciting.
I posted it in the 989 forum because folks there were clamoring that the Exynos phone was getting all the Dev. I have a 989 but didn't know about the Skyrocket. Good news for Snapdragon either way (and the 989) no?
Rogers also sells the SGH-I727R also known as Galaxy S2 LTE up in Canada.
I don't have AT&T nor is my device called Skyrocket, and this applies to all Canadians who have the device from Rogers.
As such I would suggest to the mods changing the name of the main forum to Galaxy S2 SGH-I727R as opposed to making it associated to a specific carrier and making it easily accessible to Canadian users without confusion.
sorry but no
if you haven't noticed, this forum follows only and mainly phone releases from Europe as in UK, and USA, everything else are just extra, and any model that is the same as the ones released in either region, will just get grouped together.
Your forum, your rules.
I haven't noticed the Europe/UK/USA focus, as I don't look much at forums for devices that I don't have; so please forgive my ignorance on the matter.
I find it unfortunate that the Canadian market has come to be categorized as "extra". As usual we end up being the US underdog and end up being grouped under AT&T instead of having a generic carrier independent name that fits all.
I guess it is all about volume.
i totally agree with you there buddy
I am having trouble deciding. Since you guys know already. I ask you.
It's between a galaxy nexus and the galaxy SIII.
Carrier might be either verizon or sprint depending on when I can get LTE.
Is there another phone I should consider?

SGS3, personally I like the Galaxy Nexus more (for the ROMs and development and soft buttons) but SGS3 specs are just better.

Closed, wrong section
Please read and search before posting
Why isn't there a Canadian section for the galaxy s6 on this forum? All cariers seems to have their own section, but as I canadian I always have to discuss about specific problems over different variant section. I think it would be nice to have a small section with Q&A and General Discussion at least.
The numbers just aren't there. Not every carrier has their own section. Only Verizon ATT Sprint & T-Mobile do. The fifth being the international models. Not sure where you got that information from. Also the Canadian variant is 95% identical to the T-Mobile variant.

Different partitions, no wifi-calling. They are still different. :/
If you search the General section, you'll find a large thread dedicated to Canadian devices and service. That's all there is for now.
