[Q] HTC Universal stuck in Recovery-Mode (Not Serial / USB) - General Questions and Answers

Hi folks,
I wanted to upgrade my HTC Universal (64) with WM5 to WM6.5 with this:
TOMAL V9 64MB WM 6.5 23004.exe
On the first try the tool recognized the current versions of the images and showed me which versions will be installed.
After starting the process my USB connection got lost (happens sometimes ) and the patching crashed.
I made a hard reset (the two Soft-Buttons + Stylus-Reset). It showed "Press 0 to restore factory default, Press X to exit", which is meant to install the system from the ROM, after the update from the new ROM. (But the ROM exchange seems to be interrupted and corrupted.)
The screen showed "Serial" and this serial number with no backlight, after reconnecting the USB it showed USB.
I made a second try with the Patch-Tool above - but now no versions were found and shown - neither as current nor as new. And the tool stuck.
The "Serial/USB /w serial number" issue is a known situation and could be fixed by using MTTY like in here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Universal_Problems
But after the fix and new hard reset the screen is empty and the light off.
It cannot connect with MTTY anymore because it won't connect via USB (active sync processes are off) - the USB port isn't available anymore.
And: I get to the recovery screen ("Press 0 to restore factory default, Press X to exit") simply by pressing the two soft buttons - without pressing the Stylus-Reset-Hole.
I never had that and I don't know what to do - and be sure that I searched the net and, of course, this forum but I didn't find a solution (because I didn't find this exact problem).
Anybody any ideas or experiences with this situation?
(Don't tell me it's bricked. It's NOT bricked! It'll never be bricked! )

I alredy try many ROMs, but it always stuck at stage 2...
There's any way to downgrade the ROM to 2003??
Thanks . . .
yes some way as you upgraded it to wm5 but with a
2003 nk.rom
Ic, but how?
The device now is stuck at the windows mobile screen.
Any idea?
llbasha's guide to flashing
"1. Start your device in bootloader mode by pressing and holding down:
DPad + PowerButton + ResetButton
After a second release ResetButton, then release the rest of them.
Your screen will show word "Serial" at the top.
You are in bootloader mode now.
2. Place your device in the cradle, ensuring that the cradle
is plugged directly into a USB port on your PC and not to a hub
and that the power supply is connected to the cradle.
It is also a good idea to disable any screensavers on your desktop PC.
Once your device is cradled, the text on the screen will change to "USB".
3. Run HimaUpgradeUt_noid.exe
4. Sit back and wait for the Congratulations screen to be displayed
on your PC. Your device will still be displaying 'Upgrading radio stack, please wait',
but as long as the PC says it is done, then its all OK.
5. Detach your device from the cradle.
6. Now you have to hardreset your device.
"
think it's the first step that people rarely seem to do
which cause alot of problems

[Q] Treo 750 stuck on bootloader

Hello everyone, I know this is not a new issue here but I have posted here before in order to get a solution and nothing worked.
Here is the issue:
I got a treo 750 from the us, cingular. It came with WM 6 I think and I followed a guide from here and upgraded it to 6.1. Than I saw a custom rom and installed (didnt notice it was only for htc) and than my treo got stuck on the three colour screen. I than tried palm recovery tool (not succeeded), flahshed the origininal rom and others by cable connection (not succeedded again) and now, almost a year later I am trying to flash the original rom using a mini sd card formatted with fat 32 and with the original cheeimg inside.
The problem is that I have no clue on how to start the installation. I do reset, the screen stays black, I do a hard reset and the screen asks if I want to delete everything and if I select yes or no, the screen goes back to black. I pressed reset plus media button and I get the three colour screen. Now I am trying commands using mtty, since I am using vista in my only pc, I installed windows xp mode on seven and I am using a virtual xp with active sync. I disabled usb connection on activesync and still it does not show usb option to connect with mtty.
Any tips?

[Q] Please help. Only LG logo on screen

Hello. I broke the phone display and touchscreen. I found a tutorial on youtube.com how to disassembly and I changed both components. Now the phone displays only the LG logo, a few striped background and then black screen.
I did have escaped phone little hard.
I tried to rewrite the software but not working. Software LG says the phone has the latest software version.
It can be a hardware problem?
Already try LG Mobile Support Tool ? It can recovery your software problems (if it is the problem).
Download this B2Capp Setup
- install and run
- select Option & Help for changing your country
- install usb driver and choose P920 (if you already install the usb driver than skip this)
- unplug your battery , press and hold vol up while connecting your 3D to PC until found new driver install.
- after finish, and you are connected with the PC, select Customer Support and choose Recovery Phone
- input your EMAI and S/N
- wait until download and installation finish than your software should be recover.
Hope this help and sorry my english.
I followed the steps described above. System is download, but when is installing, phone start to disconnect and connect to the computer very quickly (I heard the sound from connecting and disconnecting driver in speakers) and an error occured.
I unplug the phone and I have reconnected pressing Volume + and restart the installation. Did not work.
The next step seems to be an authorized LG.
It is true I have not tried a rebranding the phone before. It's the first time. Motorola Milestone software system change is easier.
Hi there,
I just retry the steps that I wrote above, and it's work and download the software as soon as I input IMEI and check. I don't know why the phone disconnecting from your PC, did OMAPflash already installed in your PC ? If not, try to install it and retry the steps, I hope it works. If not... I'm sorry mate, that's the far that I know.

[Q] Help Voosoo V75 Bootloop

Hello to all,
It happened so that I obtained a Voosoo V75 based on MStar MSW8868 with android 4.03 (kernel=3.0.8) from Banggood webpage.
Superoneclick helped to root it without any problem. The device is very acceptable, has Wi-Fi, BT and Edge connectivity, battery for about 4-5 hours .
but it had one problem, the google play did not work on it.
I started editing /system/build.prop file. Changed initial names according to Samsung tablet and after restart it started looping.
Shows android for about 20 seconds and restarts ( I suppose so because it switches display for about 2-3 seconds)
Trying to boot in recovery mode ( pushing volume minus and power buttons) it first for one second shows droid on it's back with a spinning crystal inside and after a red triangle with excalmation sign.
No other button combinations work, or seems so.
PC with Vista shows ADB composite device as a device and VID_1f3a_PID_efe8 (this device can not start and marked as yellow)
No attempts to connect device through ADB terminal were successfull.
But what is the most interesting PDA Net software detects the connection to the tablet.
May be somebody has any ideas how I could bring this device to life?
Any help, any idea is welcome.
