so i bought a tf101 from a fellow xda member. this is my 2nd one
so my s/n IS BB0KAS020261
i go into cwm and my micro sd card does not show at all but my sd card on the tf shows, can i flash roms from there or do i need to flash back to stock then reroot and flash cwm over?
also what version is this tablet anyways cant find anything on it at all, i know there are b70,80,90's but id this a lower one or newer
Its newer its hexidecimal. Using a different CWM than you are used to works just the same there are no problems. just flash another recovery if you dont like that one. Team rouge has internal and external support for example
Ill try that thanks
that worked, im happy now

Hi all
You're my last chance as i've been very dumb this morning.
I'm so used to flashing installing new roms on my desire that this morning (without having had my coffee) i did something that seems irreversable.
I flashed a US wifi Tiamat image on my Euro MZ601 Wifi only....WITHOUT doing a nadroid backup..doh....
Ok so i have access to my ClockworkMod recovery 4.0.0.4 but the ROM that suits my xoom is not on the internal memory (dooooh) but on my SD card. when i do choose update from sd card and select external, my xoom says that i have no files found (there are in there).
I'd love to be able to mount the xoom on my PC so that i could copy it on the internal but it doesn't seem possible.
So i'm stuck here. if there is anything i can do appart from chicking it in the bin, i would be so grateful.
I'm so angry with myself i am bashing my head against the wall every now and then.
HELP please, if you can
CWM 4.0.0.4 does not recognize the external SD card. You need to download solarnz CWM 3.2.2.0 image (not the zip) to your computer. It's pinned to the top of the Development section. Then use ADB to push the new recovery image to your Xoom, much like you did when you first rooted. This will give you access to your sd card again. Then you can sort out the rom/kernel thing. Good luck. It'll work out OK for you in the end.
Thanks m8, on my to download this recovery img that could save my life, or rather my xoom's life. Next post, I hope that there will be smileys galore.

Hmmm, ok this is doom day.
Ok, this is what's going on
I click in the link to download the img recovery-solarnz-xxxxxx-xxxx. Img, i get the recovery-tiamat-r4c-100611-1150. Img, which was the one I downloaded when i rooted the xoom in the first place, i flash it, it says on, I come back in recovery and I find the 4.0.0.4 cwm that still doesn't want to read my external storage...
Is it flashing the recovery correctly? Or is it just not my day?
Thx

I was being thick, i was not flashing recovery partition. i was flashing system partition with the image. I must have lost brain cells during the night. it is now flashing my image, i'll be back on a sec to give the (hopefully) final update
Succes, My Xoom is back on line... OMG, doing an nandroid backup now
Thanks so much CAM30era.
the whome time my mistake was flashing the recovery image in system.... Doh, you help me discover my last dumb move of the day.
Ok that's me not doing anything on my xoom for a day or 2
Thank YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome. Glad you're back on line.
Model
I'm pretty sure you also forgot which model you have, overnight.
If it's Wifi only, it's not an MZ601, because MZ601 is the Euro 3G model
Is not recognizing my external Sd. I am running CM9. Everything was working fine for a week. All of suddenly no SD card recognition .
Is there a step or steps for me to correct this problems. I want to go back to the Stock Exhibit rom, but has been unable to do so. I am at a lost, I have no idea what to do. In other word my phone and I am screwed. There a bevy of problems I have created and do not know how to correct them. Any help and advice would be appreciated.
Thank You in advance.
This is part of the risk you assume when you play around with roms. If you are not willing to assume that risk, then don't play around with things.
If your card is not being detected, make a backup of your card to your computer and format the sd card. Then copy the contents back once the card is recognised. If that is not working, then buy a new sd card and try with that one. It's quite unlikely that you phone has a broken sd card reader.
Not Recognizing my Sd Card
I assumed the risk, and I am not blaming anyone. I appreciate your help. Thanks.

I asked for advice about why my phone was not recognizing my SD card. I appreciate your suggestion. I accept all responsibility for what happened to my phone as I was playing around with things. It is not the end of the world, if I cannot get it back to recognizing the SD card or when it is connected to the USB. I will and can continue to use it as it is running CM9. Just wanted to return it to stock; so that I could play around with it again and flash a new custom rom to it. I am not deterred because of this one hiccup.
I thank you for that I have formatted the SD, tried another one and still no regonition. It can be the worst case scenario my sd card reader could be shot but I did learned how to flash and root, install a custom rom...no regrets there. Thak You for your help.
Hopefully you had made a nandroid backup of the stock rom after you had (again hopefully) installed recovery.
If that is the case then you can boot into recovery and restore the stock rom nandroid backup. If you do not have that, then things will get more complicated. You'll have to find a stock nandroid backup for that specific phone+carrier from somewhere and load it back while in recovery. If you don't have recovery, you'll have to push that on first while your phone is connected to the computer via usb.
I got it back by flashing stock via ODIN
I am back with the stock rom. Much thanks to all the people at XDA for posting questions and answers for the same problems I was having. I just kept reading question and answers forum pertaining to the Exhibit and I finally found the answers; of course nothing was easy after the ODIN download, the phone was in a rebooting loop. Someone had the same problem and I found the answer. I tried the solution and the phone booted up perfectly. I will give myself a week and then I will root it again and install one of the custom roms for The Exhibit 2. But now I am too tired and so glad to have my phone back as it was when I got it via Tmobile.
Thank you and everyone for your help and explaining it in terms whereas a person like myself came solve his/her problems.
You can use oldin and download stock rom from Samsung and flast it via oldin

Thank you, that is exactly what I did. Have a good day!
Hi there everybody (first post BTW)
I've been recently using XDA for Flashing ROMs on my SGS etc. But from few days I'm happy owner of brand new TF300T (no docking station) and got some questions and one problem.
I've just bought today micro SD card for my transformer and it's not recognizing it. My SGS and laptop do it well but not my TF...
The card is EMTEC microSD HC class 4, 16GB and it should be recognized by my tablet, but it's not -.-'
I've tried to reformat it (FAT32 and NTSC, and changing allocation unit (or whatever it's called) 16KB & 8192 bytes etc.) but nothing worked :/
Any suggestions?
Problem solved by myself, I've formatted SD card with default settings without checking option "quick format"
Other thing is flashing ROMs
What's the risk? Because SGS "cannot" (as far as I know) be bricked when flashing (using Odin flashing or CWM). I even once "bricked" it and had to use USB JIG to enter download mode to repair what I've done ;D
How about TF? Is simple ROM changing safe like in SGS? Something happens, caught boot loop or whatever and can I restore it?
Can I return to stock ROM to send it on warranty? In SGS I can simple install stock ROM and send it to repair.
Simple guide would be very useful and answers for my questions too, listen to some experienced users flashing ROMs for their TF; to get some simple knowledge about this device
About SGS I know a bit, I can change from any ROM to any ROM (from CM to MIUI, from stock Eclair to ICS, go back to any stock ROM, change kernels etc. etc.) and that's what i wan't to know about TF ;>
Sorry for long post, it was hard to explain you everything what i wanted to tell ya especially that English is not my native language :q ;D
Good afternoon fellas.
Have a customers phone here who decided to install an update for his rooted system by SD Card and has essentially "bricked" his device from what it looks like, or soft brick. It will load every time to CWM Recovery but I cannot mount the SD card through commands which will not allow me to run a new rom or flash the backup that was made. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advanced valued community.

Have you tried to mount system in mounts and storage in cwm ? If so have you also tried flashing backup? If its not mounting I'm not sure if it will work but scripts usually these days via roms and such will auto mount. But try this.

I have tried it and it says error cant mount sd card. the computer sees the phone and registers it has storage but it says storage corrupted and I can't seem to get the sd card to mount no matter what
Can you be a little more clear about the issue??
SD card not detectable?? Which recovery the phone has??

It was already said in the OP
Not trying to be rude by any means, the phone just loops through CWM even after factory reset, after loading the recovery made and an unmountable sd card through CWM commands

have you tried other sd card to check if it mounts or not?
rediculously enough......no
Just tried and same error
maybe the CWM recovery is broken, try with kdz to flash a stock rom and start all over, if kdz recognize the phone
where would I find KDZ, my google search turned up nothing that looked usable

root with superoneclick 2.3.3 only with exploit on auto, maybe it will not work the first time, for me worked 3rd time if I remember, dunno maybe it was superoneclick maybe Iam noob
unfortunately none of these seem to look or read like theyll work for me, phone is already rooted with custom recovery and I do not want to further damage a customers device
or maybe you need to just reflash recovery
That would mean just adding it to sd and flashing such as roms and gapps do...correct?
try to search other recoverys, follow the tutorial or ask the dev how to, in your case, older rom manager allowed to install amonra or older cwm but now it doesn't, so search forum for a different recovery and ask how to install it, or maybe it is the phone to blame...... do a visual check for the sd port of the phone to see if all is ok, bytheway you didn't mention if the phone boot or not
some blame cwm and rom manager becauze they do not like it or does not know hot to use it or maybe they are just bored, I use cwm for over a year I had flashed over 50 roms through cwm on a single phone and nothing bad happened , thats why the user is allways to blame, because it doesn't apreciate the other people work and doesn't follow the instructions because he knows better, CWM IS GREAT as long as the user does nothing stupid and wants to blame others for his fault, same for other tested and working recoverys
Hi
I bought some electronics at an auction and there was a Asus TF101 included in the lot. After reading about the unit I thought it would be great for personal use. I ordered a charger online an I tried it but it gets stuck at the boot screen. If I try switching it off it just switches back on. I think this is a botched root job but I don't know what the previous owner did. I doubt it is hardware related though. It has Clockworkmod Recovery v6.0.1.3 installed and can boot into the recovery but honestly I am a bit lost at what to do next.
Attempts to wipe the data etc to reset the device has all failed. It seems it needs to be flashed so any help will be appreciated. While I am at it I was thinking of going for one of the newer roms here on XDA available for the device.
Update: I wiped the user data and got the unit reset but now it boots straight into the clockworkmod app
Thanks!

Since you have Clockwork installed and recovery is booting, look here.

See the install instructions, upgrading to TWRP and flashing rom and other components.

I did see that and I have done some more reading since I posted here. Will I be able to upgrade from Clockwork to TWRP 2.8. if the unit doesn't boot?
Also I got an error saying that the sdcard cannot be mounted. I know this is the internal storage and not the actual sd card.

I believe I flashed mine that way. If you have just wiped storage that is the normal error. I would give it go

That one worry less, was worried something hardware wise was faulty.
This may sound like a stupid question (definitely newbie question) but if I cant access the internal storage how am I going to copy TWRP onto the internal storage and run the install from clockwork?

Sorry it has been a long time since I used Clockwork, but does it not see the external removable sd card? Or try the adb push method if the CM version will support.

No after some blood sweat and lots of foul language I got 4.4.4 loaded just to dicover the lcd has a nice shade of green ..... So LCD = another $30... lol I am so deep in...... Anyway started a new thread just to check if anybody else had the same problem and whether in fact it is the LCD that faulty
Oh just For info... I used EasyFlasher to get TWRP 2.6 onto the Unit with a very nice step by step guide for a newbie like me here
:http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...t/31927-frederuco-s-guide-root-rom-tf101.html
I then Used Kisskat 4.4.4 here at XDA forums to flash the Unit. Lollipop was not happy with the older version of TWRP
