[Q] Latest CWM recovery for our phone. - Samsung Galaxy R i9103

Hey can someone give me the latest CWM recovery for our phone?
Please upload it here or somewhere permanently so that other users can also download it.

Unkownz had tried to make a CWM v5 for our handset, but it was bit buggy.
He has been AWOL for pretty long so if you want you can PM him to ask if he's gonna update the CWM version.

Yeah. He has been off for like 2 months..
Hope he is still in the Dev Scene!

if we can provide .PIT or .OPS file of Galaxy R with the Dump file which is generated from Mobile ODIN to chainfire, he will help us.

Here are the requirements:
- Dump file created from the Mobile Odin app from market.
- .PIT or .OPS file for Galaxy R.
- Testing the app for Chainfire to support our device.
Read it in full:
Chainfire said:
The list of devices currently supported by Mobile ODIN is rather short. Not all devices are created equal, and devices need some work to be supported. Currently I am only considering Samsung devices for future support.
At the minimum, I will need some information from you about your device to figure out the partitions, their layout, and how to flash them. You can gather this information by downloading and installing the app. If your device is not supported, it will offer to make a dump file for you. This will take a while. Post the dump file in this thread.
If you can find a .PIT or .OPS file for your device, please attach it !
After that, I will also need a kernel for this device running preferably CWM5, but if unavailable, CWM4 or CWM3 may also do.
If you are lucky, this will allow me to make your device compatible. It may be required that you do some rather lengthy and extensive testing for me.
Devices currently under consideration
I'm not saying any of these devices will be supported, but these are devices I am looking at.
Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9001 (msm7k)
This device will not be supported, it has some stuff I can't figure out.

You can get the .pit file from the "GT-I9103_Dead_Repair_By_Xiaoyuz" zip or as mkochan10 told from the ROMs, although I am not exactly sure.

hmm iam looking for a europe firmware for shv-e110s.. but i dont understand rigth u question. what u want
Samsung Celox is the europe version V-E110S but there is slight difference in the specification. Celox doesn't have DMB player and it doesn't support some network frequency which SHV-E110S can support. So i guess it needs to be ported or converted for SHV-E110S.

I am new to android and i recently buy galaxy ace (gt-5830i). I downloaded many apps and now it shows internel memory full.
Please help me.

move your app data to sdcard
Already did that...
But problem is still there.
Apps needs the internal space. Which is only 190mb.
Root your ace and use titanium backup to force move apps to SD card or use app2sd
I am currently using app2sd.
But still low memory..
And about root. i am a noob.
How we root?

To the OP: I think you have the new Ace which has a different chip set. There is a guide to root your phone and install CWM in XDA.
DO NOT flash firmwares, kernels, cROMs for gt5830 because it will brick your phone.

adrenaline is a stock rom which to has all the rubbish removed to make the phone perform faster....
on an untouched rom that comes with the phone on purchase has quite a lot of stuff that runs in the background and slows the phone down, fills up caches and phone memory
so the idea with a custom rom is to achive the best the phone can run and conserve power but still be fast and reliable
if wot 'thatdefault' has said it correct then you will need to search a littledeeper and find another rom.... try a google search for GT5830i and see wot you get
Gt5830i uses broadcom instead of qualcomm and touch screen issue is fixed. The new galaxy mini uses broadcom too.
ah i see.... was unaware of this phone.... and didnt think gt 5830 had touch issues...
@ ramandeep7911
sorry for the wrong info pal .... i would go with rooting you device and see what you can do about your memory problems
good luck with it

Hello!
I've a very similar phone model to yours (gt5830c), everything you should know about rooting this device is in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552792 .
Rooting went well with no errors at all.
Rooting and flashing r 2 diff things?
If i flash it will root automatically?
Or i have to do both separately?

[Q] Where can I find Root.zip for P6800 3.2 Honeycomb

Hi.
I don't seem to be able to find the root.zip file (or any procedure) for my Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it is still under version 3.2.
Apparently there was a file for this android version in the forum, but external links pointing in turns into errors.
Here are my device details:
Galaxy Tab 7.7 Androdid Honeycomb (3.2) GT-P6800 (P6800UBLA2-CL618789).
Any help is much appretiated.
Thanks.

I have the same question, i need root permission for installing TWRP.
but seems i had to install CWM 6.0.1 first.
Is there any possible way to install root and then TWRP directly without installing CWM?

Hi.
Thanks for the repply.
I still have one question. What would happen if this Root file isn't made specifically to my firmware? Could I brick it?
Just wanted to make sure I won't cause any problems in my device. The file you specified does not contain any reference to the firmware version.
Thanks.

Hi.
I've been thinking and I have another question. It's still about the rooting procedure for the same device, so I thought it would fit in the same thread.
A root procedure is usually valid for the android version or is it also tied up to hardware?
I mean, there is this post about rooting honeycomb. Would it work on my device (GT-P6800)?
Thanks.
