[Q] question : how to determine hboot is stock or not

hye...i am sorry if this have been asked before...
i have htc desire rooted with unrevoked and then s-off using alpharev 1.8...
i want to know if the hboot i have is stock or not...
i want to know because i want to flash gingerburst rom which the requirement to flash the rom is to have stock hboot...
if the hboot is not stock,can anyone tell me how to return to stock hboot...
(detailed instruction) because i am noob at this thing...huhu
btw,i have htc desire gsm...

well my problem is i want to root the phone and it s-on
i tried to unlock it on htcdev and they asked to downgrade in order to use the ruu
anyway if u plz i neeed the full instruction on how to do so and rooot my device and everything plz
