After canceling a flash of Sick Sense, my One x wont boot now. I would boot into bootloader and hit recovery and twrp splashscreen shows for a split second, then reboots to htc splashscreen, staying like that forever. What should I do? Fastboot install another recovery?

Looks like you are unlocked ... so try to boot into "bootloader" and reflash recovery ...
If nothing helps ... relock bootloader and flash RUU ...
Boot into the bootloader
Flash TWRP again (must be TWRP as CWM does not have USB mount yet)
Boot into TWRP
Mount USB
Transfer your ROM of choice onto your phone
Unmount USB
Do a factory reset from TWRP
Flash the .zip
Reboot and hope for the best
If that doesn't work then you could just run the RUU from fastboot.
Yea I was out and about with no internet just my phone me and my laptop lol. What I ended up having to do was relock and ruu back to 1.85. Thanks for the help guys. Now I hope I can still reunlock lol

What happened earlier was that, even though I was able to get and boot into cwm, the sd card got unmounted somehow so I couldn't flash or restore anything.

AT&T HOX Stuck in Boot Loop after trying to flash a rom using Flash Image GUI
First of all thank you to everyone who is willing to help me out. I apologize if I missed the answer I'm looking for. Here is what's going on:
I successfully rooted my HTC One X (At&T) using TWRP a couple days ago. I created two backups in TWRP, one before rooting and one after. I then tried to install viperx 3.3.1 using Flash Image GUI from the playtstore and after the install finished I am not stuck in a boot loop on the screen that says "HTC quietly brilliant" and has the disclaimer written in red. I turned my phone off and rebooted holding the power button and volume down button and tried to do a restore of one my backups in TWRP. However I am still stuck in a boot loop. I tried restoring to the other backup also and still in a boot loop. I tried wiping the cache, Dalvik Cache, and System and then rebooting but same thing. I would appreciate any help at all. Thank you an advance for your time.
You have to flash the boot img of your backups...but just flash viper and flash the boot img
Whoa whoa whoa whoa... we don't have viper 3.3... he just released 3.2 today... sooooo it looks like you tried to flash the international version of viper

I have an AT&T HTC ONE X and i finally got twrp working on it, and now i am trying to get CM10 working. whatever I do, anything I do, nothing will boot! everything goes into boot loop. I flashed boot.img with fastboot and still no luck. at first i thought maybe wrong versions of roms, but now i made sure i have evita versions!
i tried viper, aokp, and now cm10. NOTHING!
and also before it goes into boot loop it shows the htc quietly brillian then displays the "WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION" paragraph. but it does go into boot from here and stays in bootloop
i have no idea what to do! i have hBoot 1.09
somebody please help me out so much thanks to anyone and everyone that has any information for me! thank you so much

Thanks! This fixed it for me and I put another Evita Nightly ROM and resolved the issue. I got into a bootloop by flashing a ROM dating back from Aug. After Titanium backup, it got into a bootloop.
Flashing boot.img separately using fastboot is not needed for hbot 1.09, only 1.14.
Always factory reset (in TWRP, not hboot) when switching ROMs, and don't restore system data with Titanium. It was probably one of these that caused the bootloop.
New and having some issues
I also have an ATT HTC One X 2.20 Hboot 1.14 using twrp 2.4.1 and have been trying to install roms but continue to have an issue with the MD5 file. I have followed the instructions above about flashing the boot.img of CM10 but it seems no matter what I do, it can't find the MD5 and says it is skipping MD5. I know just enough not to get out of a bootloop but I am quite new to this. The one odd thing I see is when I go to mount my phone in order to copy the CM10 zip file into the phone, the options I get are different than others I see online: Mount System (unchecked), Mount Data,(unchecked), Unmount Cache (checked), Unmount SD Card (checked). Any help would be awesome.
I have a problem when I reboot into recovery. The recovery that I am using on my HTC One S is TWRP. When I go into the bootloader and go to recovery, it will boot up to the HTC screen with red text on it. Then the phone will restart and boot normally. Then I would have to go to bootloader again and go into recovery and then it goes into TWRP. I don't know why I have to do this twice. I am not sure what I have done wrong and I can't find a way to fix this. Also I've been trying to flash CM10 and on the first boot, it stays on the animation for a long time. And one last thing. Root checker says I am rooted but when I use Apex Launcher and use a stock HTC widget, it says that it doesn't have root permissions. So can anyone help me with this? This is also my first time on XDA. Another problem. When I restore from a backup, it boots up fine. But then it stays on the lockscreen for couple of seconds and it restarts again. And when I rooted my phone by flashing SuperUser, It didn't say upgrading android. Was it suppose to?
Bump. I too have this problem with booting twice to get into recovery and can't find any answers. Thanks.
I have the exact same issue. I experienced it with both CWM and TWRP. Also when I reboot from recovery, the device seems to reboot twice, and it gets back to normal with a dialog asking if I want to send an error report to HTC. I was beginning to wonder what I have done wrong.

I would suggest downloading the newest twrp recovery IMG and flashing it with fastboot.. As far as flashing cm 10 make sure you flash the boot.IMG through fastboot before you flash the ROM..and wipe both caches after installation.. If you get stuck at boot animation go back to recovery and wipe both caches again...are you guys all using the all in one tool... Or flashimggui..?

Hey everyone. I just did the S-Off and everything went fine except for the boot loop issue using a 4.1.x based rom in which I had CM10 installed. I installed CM10.1 (4.2.2) and booted up fine. I then tried to install the KingKang rom and it started bootlooping again. So per the usual I held down power and vol down to get to the bootloader to get back to TWRP and now it wouldnt turn on. I went to plug it in and then it went to the HTC white logo with red warning and shut off immediately. Couldnt get the charge light or anything and still no normal boot, bootloader, or download mode. Any ideas?

As for the HTC logo bootloop after s-off, has anyone had this problem as well and/or found a fix?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
first custom rom i installed after s-off was ICJ and it gave me alot of hell even got qhsusb_dload once i wiped and flash cm10.1 and that has been fine. not sure if s-off had anything to do with it since i never flashed ICJ beforehand.
Yeah I think I'm done with flashing roms etc. until all the problems are worked out. All I can get to work without looping is CM10.1 and CleanRom 5.1.
im owned hahaha i have s-off and i can get into fastboot but not into recovery, tried to flash twrp but still wont boot into recovery, and i cant boot normally, starts booting and i hear the booting sound but it just gets stuck at the htc quietly brillant white screen, after a while just reboots and gets stuck again.

you did flash the evita recovery right? i would flash this one openrecovery-twrp-2.3.3.1-evita.img
yes, i actually try to install diferent versions including that one :/
That's my first post here in the One S forum and, unfortunately, not a happy one.
I used to have fun with modding a long time ago, with the HTC Desire, but when I bought the One S, I didn't even root it, until yesterday.
To unlock the bootloader and install the TWRP recovery I used the All-in-One toolkit; then I installed a MIUI v5 porting and updated to the latest version.
Not satisfied with it, this morning I decided to try Sense 5 with TrickDroid 10.3.2: I did a TWRP backup, wiped the necessary and installed the zip.
Now the phone is in an infinite loop.. that would be ok, but I can't get to fastboot or recovery.
The problem is that even before I wasn't able to get to fastboot with the button combo (even if I disabled fastboot in MIUI settings), and to access the recovery I used the command provided in the All-in-One toolkit.
I'm not able to use the All-in-One toolkit since the device can't be found while turning on.
So now I'm here with my phone vibrating every 30 seconds or so and that's a bit frustrating...
Do any of you know what to do?
If you need any further information just ask, and sorry for my English, I hope everything is clear.
Thank you in advance
Francesco
P.S.: It is the S4 version.

I'm now having the same problem: exactly I forgot to flash boot.img after flashing the rom, and my HTC One S now seems to be bricked.
Yesterday I could turn it on and go into HBOOT, but when I chose Recovery or Factory Reset it rebooted and after the HTC logo, a warning logo appeared. Now I cannot do anything with this.
Can you pls give me some advise or how I can fix this problem? Many thanks!:good:

That is not a brick lol
That warning logo isn't a big deal. Everyone who has unlocked their bootloader gets it. And seems like you have erased your recovery by selecting "Factory Reset".
1. Download All-In-One Tool kit for HTC One S from the Development forum.
2. Flash a custom recovery. TWRP recommended.
3. Boot into recovery, mount sd card, copy your rom.
4. Flash your ROM.
5. Boot into fastboot
6. flash boot.img
7. Restart :good:

Did you try to remove the SIM card? Mine was stuck in bootloop and only way it worked for me was to remove SIM card, press power button for 10 or more seconds and it eventually booted into bootloader. hope it work for you...
Trying to flash the new stock sense 5 rom phone is stuck in a loop that I cant get it out of.
Rogers HTC One XL

Followed this guide to unlocked bootloader.

Copied the stock 4.2.2 sense 5 rom and super su zips onto my sd card.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2423735
Then I booted into twrp and flashed the stock 4.2.2 rom and was prompted to flash super su as well.
flashed both files and reset the phone.
The phone boots up and shows the htc screen, then goes to a black screen.
Holding power down just makes the three softbuttons flash three times, then the phone resets and goes back to the black screen.
EDIT:
I can get into the recovery menu, but everything fails.

once you unlock the bootloader you cannot factory reset in hboot menu anymore.
flash twrp 2.6, wipe sd card on twrp (wipe - advanced), mount, copy rom over, wipe everything except sd card then flash your rom.
if youre s-on you have to extract the boot.img from the rom you flashed and:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
