Hi.
I don't like the absence of digital zoom in stock photo camera app: I know that it is only a "clipping" of the original photo but I would have it.
I don't want to use other photo camera apps like "Camera ZOOM FX" or "Camera360" so I searched for a mod for the stock photo camera app like this but I didn't find it.
Is there anything?

Camera Zoom FX works for zoom (paid)
FX Camera (search "ymst" in the market) is a great free camera but no zoom.
Zoom on the device is fake anyways (digital), so you can get the same results with better image quality if you use no zoom and post-crop.

It's true about the zooming. If you just use Picasa or Photoshop "zooming" will turn out better.
I have Camera Zoom FX and use it as my default. It's a great little app. Beyond "zooming" there are millions of useful options that the stock app lacks. There are also skins if that's your cup of tea. The only gripe is that there is no video within the app, but then again you buy it for its camera options..

There isn't one. The nexus has a fixed lens so it would only be capable of digital zoom ( the same as just zooming in to a picture you've already taken).
Optical zoom is not possible on the Nexus S. I have tried Camera Zoom FX app, and I would rather move my phone closer to the object than use the pixel zoom -- it degrades the pic too much.

Is there some kind of Xposed module or other tweak that would allow me to unmirror the front facing camera pictures from the google camera? I know I can manually edit them in the gallery, but I would prefer that it unmirrors the picture when taken.
Why pictures taken by messenger camera are zoomed in comparing to stock camera app??

When I am inside the GCAM, when I touch the photo I took, the Google Photos gallery opens and I want the mobile stock app to open. How can I do that?
