Hello everybody,
I'm French and totally new in this forum.
Just got a Galaxy S2 LTE from my dad who brought it back from a biz trip in Germany here's what I found when I checked the phone's version:
Baseband: I9210XXKI5
Kernel: 2.6.35.11-I9210XXKI5-CL616063 [email protected] #2
Build number: GT-I9210-eng 2.3.5 GINGERBREAD 0XXKI5 test-keys
Anyone can tell me something about it? I know that the phone is rooted because Root Check Basic told me so.
As I'm living in France, will it be a problem if I try to upgrade to ICS?
Thanks,
Max
Well your phone is definitely not the Skyrocket, but it definitely has the same chip set. I wouldn't advice rooting with any if the skyrocket methods until you know it's safe.

Indeed, the phone isn't the skyrocket but no for the GS II LTE
Does anyone know where I can find the stock firmware so I can unroot the phone?

The rooting methods are split between the 2 type of conectivities: GSM (3g) and CDMA (4g). There is a separate android development section for each of them.
Here is an useful thread that might help you, but you should know which type of connection do you have. I am not familiar with the US carriers but I think verizon is for 3g and sprint is for 4g, don't take my word for it tho.

Rooting method in gsm is also splitted in two ways, 9020a and 9020t. I guess he wants to know that...

Wow...every single reply has missed the OP question, which was how does he find the model number of the phone he has.
Answer is: Pull the battery and read the model number from the barcode label on the back of the phone under the battery
Cheers!
Barcode says:
Model: GT-I9020
SSN: -I9020GSMH
So still no info wether it's an 9020A or T

I can tell just by looking at your baseband. You have the "t" model

The "a" version gets baseband kd1 when updated to 2.3.4. If you force kd2, you get a baseband of NO XXKD2.
Since you have neither, you have either an i9020t or i9023. Since you have amoled, it has to be i9020t

Here's the thing. As usual it seems to be an organization issue here between major brands and models so after looking around for hours I'm still not able to figure out what is going on here.
I bought a Samsung galaxy S II LTE SGHI727R from Rogers Canada.
Is there a European ROM available for it? i want to debrand it and remove bloatware I guess.
Will the Samsung Skyrock ROM work on it ok?
Some good info on this matter would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I think the easyest thing to do is go on the samsware website choose a reagion u want it from and flash it. I had a problem upgradeing my phone with loads of crappy bloatware. So I just flashed stock europe firmware to it. Just dont choose a network provider firmware but it does explain it easly enough
Where exactly can I find this on samsung's websites? Been looking, but can't find it
This is most probs best site for the original firmware its got a list of all sgs2, sgs1 etc

Hello guys,
I need to make my Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 go back to stock, I installed the Android ICS 4.0.3 (and what i think my friend installed is a launcher that makes it look like the s3) but my WI-Fi is not working, not even scans for it...so I think i need to factory reset...right?
Please if any1 has the Brazilian ROM + Original Kernel for the "ZTO" firmaware (the version with no carriers) I would deeply aprecciate! There are NO LINKS active that I could find on the web nor here! Or if any1 knows wtf problems are going on with my wi-fi it would help too!
Using Kernel version 3.0.15 [email protected] #k3-25
Baseband: I9100UHLPF
Many thanks to the XDA Team!
Hi All,
I'm new for this forum and need some help if I could get someone in this forum know how to fix my problem.
Here is the story:
I bought an used SII SGH-I727R few months ago and it's unlocked. I have a plan under Mobilicity (Canada). everything was fine until last week when I decided to upgrade my android to Jelly Bean (and I did) and now I the phone doesn't work with my SIM card anymore (I borrowed my friend's SIM card under Telus to plug it in and it works!). Something telling me that I screwed my radio freq (band) settings.
Here is the old spec:
Android: 4.0.4
Baseband: T989DTLLE4
Kernel: 3.0.8
Build: IMM76D.UCLF6
PDA: I727UCLF6
CSC:I727ATTLF6
IC:649E-SGHI727
and here is the new spec:
PDA: I727RUXUMA7
Phone: I727RUXUMA7
H/W: Rev 1.0
RF call date: 2012.06.10
CSC: I727ROYAMA7
I did try a lot of radio zip file in this forum and use cwm to install them but none works, If someone here has experience and know exactly what I need to do to make my phone work with Mobilicity again, I would really appreciate or even bring back to the old version/setup will make me happy too.
Thanks in advance
