By "program" do you mean the app? If not, download the app from the market (Play Store).
Or, just fix permissions in ROM Manager. Works every time for me.
That's the issue I'm having is that rom manager/cwm isn't fixing permissions

It is impossible to fix permissions unless busybox is installed properly.
Yup, needs busybox. Download the app and install it.
PS--When people say cwm on this site they mean cwm recovery, not rom manager. Not everyone uses the term correctly of course, but just thought I'd let ya know.

True, I understand that. Not trying to be a jerk by pointing that out, it's just very confusing to those of us trying to help when people get this mixed up.

well ill take note of those differences aha thanks for the heads up, and im gonna try installing the 17b update and see if that fixes my issues
just a quick edit:
when i do go into busybox its the free version and it says "BusyBox null is installed" then "Busybox is installed to sh:<stdin>[1]:not found"
then gives me the option to install 1.20.1
so do i need to spend the money to upgrade to busy box pro?

I went to update to 17 on sky ics, it was taking forever in recovery so i rebooted the phone, tried busybox again and it said it was SUCESSFUL!!
Edit
Lol so I noticed I had to do a delvik cache clear to get busy box to install but even after install and permission rewrite it still won't install 17 for me

You could also search google for 'xda kernel repack'.
Unpack the initramfs, update the su and Superuser.apk, and repack the kernel.
Tada, no more su problems, and when it gets out of date, you can fix it yourself

We have clockworkmod running on the Samsung Galaxy SG4 for some time now, though I don't know if anything like that is available for the Exhibit 4G.
The signature verification error is normal via standard 3E recovery. I know it can be toggled on/off within CWM though I'm not sure if/how with standard recovery.
Got it fixed.
ok. I got it fixed. Here are the steps:
1) Download and install the SuperUser Fixer. Force it to run.
2) Update to the newest SuperUser.
3) In the settings, update the SU binary from there.
Done and fixed.
Thanks.

Agreed you need to make sure busy box is installed

Sometimes roms already come with busybox installed. However, they need to be updated/reinstalled in order for fix permissions to work. Usually that does the job. If not, try reflashing the rom and make sure you follow the dev's instructions thoroughly.
If your rom comes with busybox. Go to your apps, there should be a busybox installer app in there. Click on it and click install

Development for MIUI skyrocket has been started by 0xD34D.
Please assist him by testing and giving logcats of any issues you have.
His name is lithium76 here on xda.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Place zip on root of SD card.
2. Boot into cwm, take a nandroid.
3. Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache.
-----3a. Or use darkside wipe.
4. Install zip from SD.
5. Reboot system. Enjoy
NOTES:
This has most of the same bugs our aokp R1 had and maybe a few other small bugs.
To fix reboot menu. After initial boot let rom settle for 5mins, manually boot into recovery, wipe cache/dalvik. Reboot system.

I've had problems with fix permissions in RM, too. Read somewhere in XDA that it's different in CWM than in RM. I've used a script in Rom Toolbox Pro and it shows the same type of log I see in RM, but goes faster. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't RM's fp just a script anyway?

If you've changed rom's and restored your apps from backups created while running other rom's, often that will screw everything up.
Try fresh installing all your apps from the Google Play store, or try deleting the app data and caches on whatever apps seem to be halting ROM Manager while fixing permissions.
Had the same issue of permission fix hanging forever, but Busybox install seemed to resolve it.
But my intend of fixing the permission was to get rid of the warning message that I get after a reboot:
"System UIDs Inconsistent"
This hasn't dissipated... any ideas?

why do we not have an RUU ? What about radios and such ?
I got it downloaded and installed. It's a developer build and a little buggy.
It's a little bit of an improvement, but not perfect. Sense 3.6 is kind of annoying. It's intriguing how they have attempted to keep the look of sense 2.1. It feels like they've combined the worse of GB and ICS.
I'm looking forward to what the AOSP community will do with this.
