[Dilemma] Htc One x, Galaxy Note or SGSIII? - General Questions and Answers

Hi!
Here is my dilemma. My employer is giving me the opportunity to pick my next phone. I have three candidates:
All three: marble white, unlocked, 16gb (except Htc One X 32gb because of lack of sd card).
1. Htc One X
2. Samsung Galaxy Note N7000
3. Samsung Galaxy III International version.
Help choose by just replying with 1 for HTC, 2 for the N7000 and 3 for the Galaxy S III..
Thanks

might want to put up a poll,
3.

Having only had the Note:
If you want Camera, go HTC.
If you want Screen real estate go with the Note (its awesome, you won't regret it).
If you want anything else, probably the SIII.
I would still recommend the Note because I love the huge screen (you get used to it fast and it's hard to go smaller after)

Go for 2

I'd go with 3.

I'd also go for the Galaxy S III. Definitely the better phone out of the options currently available.

I'am big fan of HTC devices so i will say HTC One X. My friend have Galaxy Note and everyone say: "what is this?" "quite big part of technology" or something like this. But this smartphone is really good. GTA 3, Max Payne or other games works really cool. On SGS3 it will go even better.

I vote 3
Get the S3 if it's the international model.

Go for Galaxy Note if you want a big display. Its good and performance wise also its a good handset.
If you are not looking specifically for display then go with Galaxy S3. It has got beautiful display and other features like good processor, memory options, burst mode in camera and few other such features.

GSIII for me

SGSIII.

Galaxy S3
The Best gpu on the galaxy S3, i'd go for the galaxy for only this reason.

Galaxy S3
Samsung galaxy S3 is best choice,

The BEST overall Android phone?

Alright, Im just wondering, what is the BEST android phone currently available?
By BEST, I mean best overall, if you were to rate the phones on everything they do, and give them a score, what phone would have the highest score?
Samsung galaxy s2

SGSII, SGNote and the SGNexus.
SGS2 best combination of:
•Screen Tech (super amoled plus)
•Performance (1.2 ghz dual core exynos)
•Memory (16gb + microSD and 1gb RAM)
•Cameras (great quality 8mp with 1080p video and 2mp FFC)
•Support (Samsungs current flagship and garanteed ICS)
Another vote for the SII. Thin, light and feature packed. ICS will make it the best android phone on the market until the next Gen phones roll off the assembly lines.
International s2
everyone suggesting the gs2, you seem to be leaving out the fact that its only 800x480

The galaxy nexus hands down, no need to say else.

galaxy note. big screen, high resolution display, S-pen....
awesome!
hard pick at the moment, but samsung for sure.
the nexus for its amazing highres screen, but the s2 for its speed.
i guess i'd have to go for speed and the go for the s2.
IMO, a pick between:
SG S2
SG Note
SG Tablet 7.7
all those 3 are the best on the market currently
All Samsung fans?

Atrix 4G and Nexus S are pretty nice phones. Just use custom ROMs to get rid of the moto-blur.

HTC Amaze IMO
Nexus i would say.
+1 for the samsung galaxy note. Not just because I have one, but because I chose to buy it.
Samsungs probably are the best Android phones. I think maybe LG would be another good one now. But HTC...I just can't stand Sense and that terrible phone app. The only good HTC phones will come with WP7 because MS forces HTC to leave out Sense and use the exclusive WP7 phone app.
If I buy another Android phone, it will likely be a Samsung or LG. If I buy another HTC, it will be a WP7 phone.
Hmmn, if you don't like sense, aosp? Samsung do have nice displays/processors but it all depends on your carrier and preferences, I'm gonna hold out for the first quad-core... Unless you need it yesterday, I would wait, just an opinion...
i would not pick S2 now because of it's lower screen resolution compare to note and nexus
s2 800 x 480
nexus 1280 x 720
note 1280 x 800

Mid to High Range Phone

I got around $500 bucks to spend.... and in my price range I have 2 options.
Galaxy S2 or the Galaxy Nexus.
I'm not sure which, all i know is my wife who has the Galaxy S2 has a lot of trouble with games, and the Nexus has a powerVR in, slower but more compatible.
S2 or Galaxy Nexus? (i'm not fussed about the 5mp camera on the nexus)
Which is more hackable of the 2 i guess lol or maybe i should wait for the Quad Core Beast from Samsung to drive the prices down a bit more...
If you are willing to get a used phone you have alot more options than just those two phones you mentioned. Look in the marketplace

Depends which S2 your wife has. If she has the T-Mobile one or the AT&T Skyrocket, there's your problem. Those have Snapdragons in them, which suck for gaming. They're not real Galaxy S II's. They're only branded that way to make people buy them. Only the Sprint Epic 4G Touch and the AT&T i777 (Galaxy S II) have the original Exynos chip with the Mali GPU (the one in the real GSII i9100).
If you want a high res display with no microSD slot (16/32GB for GSM/CDMA models respectively) and pure mod-ability, get the Galaxy Nexus. It's pretty good for gaming, but it probably won't handle the next generation of games as well as the GS2. The Galaxy S II has a better GPU and processor, but a lower res screen (which actually means better performance), and 16GB + MicroSD card slot, and a camera that rivals the iPhone 4S's.
They both have great development communities, and all GSII variants are getting ICS officially. (the i9100 already has it). If you want a phone that will 100% get Jelly Bean officially, go for the GNexus.
Gaming/Media-oriented -> Galaxy S II
Pure mod-ability -> Galaxy Nexus
A Galaxy Nexus from Expansys I think is $399, no tax. I know the Google Play store is selling it for the same price, but with tax here in NY that's $450. You should be able to pick up either phone for around $400.
have u considered xperia S?
Go with the galaxy nexus some pure google

One x?

The screen isn't that much larger on the nexus as it has the soft buttons which render the screen to be almost the same size as the s2. However, the nexus has a higher pixel density whereas the s2 exceeds in contrast ratios and looks better in my eyes

Pure Google is truly awesome
if u can go out of these two options then maybe htc one x?..or wait for other quad core phones...by sony or samsung(S3)..i think u should go with the latest coz it wont get outdated soon...
Nexus, without any doubt

You can consider also HTC Sentation XL
try out galaxy nexus.
Although the Galaxy Nexus would be the usual choice, I honestly suggest that you check both phones' Specs carefully.
While Nexus's display is quite nice and it is "more famous" than the S2, in terms of processor or camera, there's no reason not to choose the latter.
Also, you should consider the release of ICS and CM9 for the S2.
One things I'll chime in from my personal experience against the "pure modability" aka Nexus- the best experience I've had with my S2 was on the old, stock ATT rom with the clockwork mod recovery in the stock kernel. All the custom roms I've tried, above all, that the WORST battery life.
So while you'll be able to get more, useless modability out of a Nexus, S2 will work like a champ right out of the box without ANY issues.
Galaxy Nexus!!

What phone should i buy ???

hi guys
i want to buy a galaxy S2
so should i buy one form At&T or T-Mo or Sprint or globel verson ????
Why buy a S2 when S3 was just released? Or you could buy the HTC One X.
wait for the S3 to come. and the htc one-phones are probably a bit better than the s2. but max. a bit
WAIT for the global galaxy sIII to be released and then buy that
samsung s2
Buy a Galaxy Note
I would Buy a Galaxy note as i had a brand new nexus with official ics and sold it and bourght a note and couldnt go back to a smaller screen then ive rooted and flashed stunner ics i woudnt swap it for any phone now i have a quadrant score of 44130 blows my nexus out the water.massive thanks to all at xda as i knew nothing about phone development untill i stumbled apon this forum and now im flashing custom ics roms
If you must get a GS2, go for the "Skyrocket" model, it's CPU is clocked to 1.5 versus all other models being clocked at 1.2
thanks for the advise but you guys change the topic
i think that S3 is not very impress compare to S2 with the price 600 euro
guys on here telling you get s3.... is nothing so special about s3 apart from faster cpu ....and the design of s2 is much better than s3
Go with tmobile and save yourself some money...
Which phone should I buy now?
I've had the HTC Wildfire since last year but I'm getting pretty bored of it now because of the slow processor, graphics and small screen.
Basically, I need a big screen, good camera(capable of HD recording), nice multimedia features and a decent processor in my next phone.
I'm thinking of getting the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V. Is it a good phone or should I go for something else?
Galaxy S3.
Easy, Global, more development and support. But Galaxy Nexus would make better sense with updates
Sent from my HTC One X
I'd also go for global for the dev/support.
If you have already invested tons into micro sdcard, go for sgs3, note or sgs2.
If not and you want style at the expense of no storage/battery upgrade options .. go for one x.
Samsung Galaxy SII even if for samsung upgrade reason maybe I'll chose HTC One X
Just buy the samsung galaxy siii.. man.. that phone is awesome .. just like a portable computer..

What to get next (smart phone)

Was in the o2 shop today looking at phones and i really couldn't choose between the s4, note 2 and htc one the xperia z caught my eye but the s4 had the better camera.
Just don't know where to go next really, got shat on by sony with x10i so not keen on going back, hate htc customer service and now been shat on by sammy with s2.
Was also really tempted to wait for the note 3 as contract is up for renewal in September/October
I like the samsung phones but I also use cyanogenmod on the s2 which i would probably use again on the new phone, with how samsung shat on dev community with xynos stuff I can't see the next one being a samsung no matter how much i like the s4 and note 2/3
Tempted by a nokia lumina windows phone but i think they are not quite ready yet spec and feature wise.
Suggestions people?
Galaxy note 3 or Jaiyu g6
Sent from my I9977 using xda premium
I'm leaning towards the note 3 as the size is just right for me as i dont just use it for the phone it's business and personal.
That and it would be new where as s4 almost a year old and soon to be replaced maybe.
I just hope the note 3 will be custom rom and dev friendly unlike the s2.

I want to suggest you Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone because of unique features and stylish slim design. It comes equipped with a 8 megapixel digital camera, which is far better than the average for all Smartphones. It has a lot of hidden features like, fast camera access, Call from Text Message, lock screen facebook, power saving mode, end calls with the power button etc. Samsung Galaxy S3 has Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system alongside a 1.5 GHz Quad Core CPU.
I suggest waiting for the Note 3.

I'm an HTC guy. HTC ONE - all the way.
I am happy for Samsung's rise, but I don't prefer their interface, Sense (love or hate it) has a great aesthetic appeal.
There is definitely a thread already for this but I think you should get an Asus Fonepad. Pay around $300 and get a 7" tablet+a phone all in one along with a tasty Intel processor. No HTC can match that!
If you're the patient type, waiting for the Note 3 may be worthwhile. It's rumored to have some impressive specs (6 inch screen, 8 cores, 3 gigs of ram).
note 3 is a good choice i think.
For me I might get a one or an S4. I like the oled diplay but I don't want a plastic phone. LCD3 is nice but no expandable SD?
In the end ill buy the s4 and an aluminium case to go with it.

Go for a S4!
Yea the S4 seems much faster.
Xperia Z, it has a better design!!
You can't go wrong with the s4!

It's a dead heat between the note 3 and xperia z, if i can't get a note 3 ill weigh the s4 up against the z

I would prefer S3 Over S4 mini because of screen size and resolution and most its memory and i think S3 is really a very good phone to have.
S3.
My mum recently had the very same debate. She went with the S3 and hasn't regretted it since.
Particularly the screen is better, and the battery is bigger.
S3 all the way. It isn't worth vying all cheaper version of a big flagship phone. Get the s3 since it was the last big flagship phone. The specs are no where near to being outdated. Dancing will for sure continue to support it for a while.
