Hello there,
Is there any way to Root Tab 2 7" GT-P3110 with ICS 4.0.3 LD4 without increasing flash counter?
It seams that the methods described here at XDA increased the Flash Counter because recovery.tar.md5 is flashed trough PC ODIN.
Help will be appreciated.
Regards.
Anyone?
I don't think so, at least I haven't seen any yet.

Counts how many times you flashed a custom kernel/recovery. If it not 0 your warranty is void.
You can see it when you reboot on download mode.

Your information is very detailed and informative.
Also, when you claim there is a problem make sure you state the following
Problem
What occurs and where
What happens
How often
When did it start
What did you apply/do for it to happen
You want a responsive answer, then you give a detailed information or you're just going to get this thread closed.

Hmmm, sorry but I'm confused. If you're on cm and you can open recovery I can only think you are still rooted (check this with root checker app) so not sure why you think you need to root. I see you tried to restore, what to? I can only suggest flashing back to a stock rom and then do the rooting process again.

You may want to use triangle away if you haven't already to set binary counter to 0

Have you used triangle away? I read in another post it is not wise to use it as it is not officially compatible yet.

I used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219803 but I updated before I used it and stupidly did not read that it did not work with MDM. I have just found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255190 which has a modified CF_AUTO_ROOT and looks like triangle away works so once my phones charged will give it a go and let you know.

Sorry that my reply comes so late.
I've used the androidjiinn guide and the MODIFIED CF_AUTO_ROOT from djembey.
The download mode says the following:
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
After the guide from androidjiinn I used the further steps from djembey.
My kernel version is:
3.4.0-431985

Don't know if it has changed.
I hope you guys have all the information you needed to know
calculatedotflat
it is necessary to back to unlocked fw to update it? tks!
I followed the exact instructions from the first post (4 or 5 times) but I still don't have root access. I'm running I9505XXUAMDM
When I flashed the .md5 in ODIN it all appeared to go fine - it rebooted to recovery, flashed SuperSU, wiped cache, etc, but TiBU and root check both tell me I don't have root access. SuperSU is installed, and running SU from terminal emulator gives me a # prompt. Root Validator hangs at "executing tests" when I ask it to check for root.
