I have a P6200 bought from Malaysia. Recently I did the SU rooting for the phone. Before that I was able to use with a AT&T sim without any issue and can make calls, sms, etc.
After rooting, not sure if this is related, I cannot use any sim now (currently have T-Mobile and Verizon to test with). Not sure about AT&T sim since I don't have one.
I did a factory reset and flashed my tablet twice (from stock P6200 Malaysian rom). Still cannot get the sim card to read and I think the phone is still rooted. Anybody know how to fix this or if there is a repair center in SoCal? I tried the samsung website but they only have options to report the local Galaxy Tab Plus here.

Hey there, my brother recently inheritted someones old Rogers Galaxy S2 LTE. My brother is using MTS which uses the same bands/freqs (same towers in fact) as Rogers and was wanting to use this phone instead of his crappy Nokia.
He threw his SIM card in and got the screen asking for the network unlock key. He went to cellunlocker.net and purchased the unlock key and unlocked the phone.
However with his SIM card in he still doesnt appear to pick up any signal at all. I have an android (GNex) on the same network (MTS) and have never had an issue.
Do I have to flash a non-rogers ROM to get it working? I saw the SKY ICS one and was thinking I might flash that one to try it out. Unfortunately I wont have access to the phone until tomorrow
EDIT: I should have mentioned that his phone is completely stock right now. I have read about "Locked" radios and am wondering if that isnt the cause of our issues. I have heard from other I727 owners who were able to get their phones on MTS
I bought an unlocked skyrocket yesterday and then tried to reflash the stock 4.0.4 rom on it. After that, the phone seems to be unable to recognize the sim card, and the carrier's label is gone sometimes. Now I can still make calls and send sms sometimes, but i can't most of the time. Can anyone tell me if it's the problem with the phone unlocking process or something involved with the rom I'd just upgrade?
what network you're on and SIM ? try replacing the SIM first of possible
i'm using a sim from a Vietnamese mobile network. I bought this phone for my mom, and last night it was unable to regconize her sim. I also try it on my wife's and my dad's, and they were all unrecognized. I turned it off and retry this morning, and it 's working like nothing happened before =.=. I just dont know if it's gonna be in that situation again

I have tried many apps, places to buy codes, no one can get this phone to work. Is it because it doesnt have prior service? (Didnt think that would matter) Or can someone please tell me how I can make this phone work? Thank you Btw I now have no active working phone, but my number is on the straight talk sim in the galaxy phone. I desperately need it on. It was transferred earlier from another phone and now im in a pickle.

I am having the same problem.
1. Are you on stock rom?
2. Are you on baseband MDC or MDL?
3. Did you perform the international sim unlock first?
4. After you have satisfied the first 3 requirements, try the domestic sim unlock thread.

Hi, I have the UK 4G galaxy tab 3 8.0. I've been using a Three network voice/text/data sim in it for a few months, till I tried to go on the the browser and it said 'Your Sim Will Only Work in Your Phone'. Tried everything I could think of to get it to work. I called the network explained that my tab was a phone because I've been making calls off of it. They was having none of it and said my sim will no longer work for data inside my tab....killer!! It's my only source of internet and I haven't got another device to use it with. I was thinking possibly if I root it, there may be a utility which allows me to change what my tab is seen as. For example change it so it's recognised as a phone and then my sim will start working again. It's never going to work again as it is at the moment. I've rooted it before and didn't really want to do it again, because it kept screwing my data connection, I unrooted and it's been fine for weeks. Please someone help! If I have missed any details, sorry.
P.s the tab came from Vodafone UK with a sim contract that is not being used anymore, I bought the tab near enough brand new but still pre-owned.

I recently purchased an unlocked Note 20 Ultra 5G, but it was originally an at&t phone (so I have all of their apps), yet I am using my Verizon sim card in the phone. It functions, I have signal, ect. yet I am missing main features I must have such as wifi calling. Model# is SM-N986U and CSC# is N986UOYN2DUE2. I have searched for the lastest VZN firmware on SAMobile for my specific phone, and am currently waiting for that download to complete. However, do you guys think this download (and upload with Odin) will give me full functionally of a Verizon phone?
And if so, do I need to upload the firmware with my sim card in, or out, of the phone in question?
