Cheers Chris, thanks for the pointers.... I think I've balls'd it up
I mistook the standard Android recovery for CWM after running sausagemod... the ROM flashed but the compatibility file wont... so I'm left with a device with no working touchscreen and trying to install CWM from terminal also fails.. It says ... no /sdcard/recovery.img.
I also can seem to get the device in flash mode so I cant revert to the stock rom ether.
If you have any ideas it would be appreciated... one post in that thread reads very similar to my issue, they edited the 'sh install-recovery.sh' apparently and got the device back... but they haven't been here in years so I don't think will reply...

Well, the good thing is, its pretty hard to balls these devices up. As crappy as they are, its usually always possible to get back to stock, or at least get in functioning again...
That said...when you try to install a new recovery from terminal, are you sure you have unzipped the recovery.zip file into a location on your sdcard that is accessible, and have cd'ed into that directory?
Are you using livesuite to try and flash a new stock rom? I don't have my Astro any more, moved on to HP Touchpads (awesome tablets btw), but I seem to remember it could be a bit finicky to get it into flashing mode, what with button pressing etc...
Have you been to slatedroid.com? There is a section for these tablets there too, under Cortex A8 tablets, might be worth a gander on that site.
If I think of anything else I'll let you know...
Cheers
Edit: if the touchscreen isn't working, you can always connect a usb mouse. I did that with mine once when I had flashed the wrong compatibility zip. Think it came with a mini->standard usb adaptor....
Edit2: if you can link the post that was similar to your problem I will look and see what its about, might help!

Hi Chris! really appreciate your help and getting back to me.... sorry for the delay getting back to you... I was sent away from home for work.
What happened was... I got the drivers installed and working correctly, so I ran sausagemod option 5 and I then mistook the standard Andriod recovery for an early release of CWM... so proceeded to flash the Cyanogenmod 9 ROM, I thought 'Happy days!' its worked... then the MOMO9 file wouldn't flash and I realized that I was indeed in the stock recovery... so subsequently have no touchscreen working.... similar to post 46 in the original thread...
I've connected a keyboard and thought... ahhh this will be easy as I'll run recovery from terminal.... but I thought that had worked but it boots again to the standard android recovery... like in post 28 of the original thread... so again MOMO9 wont flash.
Looking again at the terminal out put it says...'no /sdcard/recovery.img' - I think this is because my 'recovery.img' is on my SD card located at /sdext instead... I guess I would have to edit the CWM file but I'm not really that sure on that... or if it would work...
With no touchscreen I cant click on 'USB storage mode' when I connect it to a PC as I have to use the connection to hook it up to a PC, so I cant use the keyboard... so I cant copy the recovery onto the internal storage and try from there....
And I'm dammed if I can get the bugger to go into 'flash mode' ether so I can return it to stock..... it ether boots or does nothing but blank screen...
I'd be ok if it was mine... but I'm flashing it for my brother which is a blow!

Hi is it possible for you to connect a usb mouse to the tablet, that way you might be able to move the cwm recovery img to the right place? Or use the terminal to move it...when you use the command line to install recovery, are you using the location of the img in your commands? Just type in your location, you won't have to mess with the image itself.
Otherwise livesuite and perseverance should be your route to flashing back to stock and starting again!
Cheers

Or you could open up install-recovery.sh in a text editor and look for the location of the recovery image in that file and change it to suit your setup?
Cheers

Cheers Chris I'll try that.... I've been trying to install a file manager via terminal.... the odd thing is .APK's dont show up when I go to the root of the SD card and type 'ls' - only .ZIP and .IMG
I'm using the terminal app thats built into the cyanogenmod 9 ROM....
Been hacking Phones and tablets for years... but ever way I turn on this turd with a screen is a dead end....
Edit: I turned on install from unknown sources and theyre now there... but I just get a list of errors go off the screen to fast for me to read... about location etc....
I have no idea what I'm doing in terminal... I left command line with DOS!
I tried this 'pm install astro file manager.apk' I thought that would do it

oh well.... killed it
Just a blank screen... wont turn on.... but I guess its still functioning somewhere as it detects in windows as an unrecognized device...
Livesuite starts but wont flash it..
I built a new PC with 32bit win 7 to flash it... looked to be going ok. it went to 3%, then stoooopid windows tried reinstalling some drivers for it and its been a brick since.
Guess thats game over?
EDIT: Holy [email protected]! it came back! LMAO! its now back to stock!
You were right! I tried my hardest to kill it! dam thing wont die!

Chris, sorry to trouble you again...
I'm back up and running stock... looks like 500m partition size...
I guess to run a custom ROM I need to flash an older stock ROM.... am I really going to gain much with a custom ROM?

Ha ha, good stuff mate, very similar to my experience with the bloody thing….
If you read thru the other thread linked in my first post I'm pretty sure there's a discussion there about flashing custom rom onto a slightly older stock rom as they increased the system partition sizes.
Its worth going for a custom rom. Runs smoother, faster, you just gotta get the damn thing on it in the first place. But worth it when you do!
Cheers
Edit: you may need to flash an older rom… .see this

LOL! DONE IT!
Flashed Cyanogenmod 9 from the original post and MOMO9 compatibility... works great! only problem I have is the resolution appears to be slightly out as icons can go off the screen...
Hmmm wondering about Cyanogenmod 10 now! Hmmmmm what did you end up installing?

Nice, well done mate :good:
Its a while ago, but I think I ended up putting cm10 on it eventually.
The thing with the icons going off the screen can be rectified by using a different launcher, if I remember correctly - try ADW launcher, my personal fave.
Cheers

Thanks for all your help Chris, really do appreciate it.
I've had a good play with the tablet over the weekend, I can get CM9 installed and working fine... I then flashed a later stock ROM to give me the 500mb /system partition... but the CM10 .zip just wont work... it flashed ok... but it wont go past the rotating boot screen.... am I missing anything?
EDIT:
Hmmmm I've just downloaded the official 4.2 from sumvision... I guess thats the best it will ever get... bit clunky but usable... I wonder if there is a kernel I can flash...?

I had a problem flashing CM10 over the newer stock rom with 500mb system. The only way I managed it was to go back to the earlier stock rom and remove stuff from the CM10 rom to get it to fit on the smaller system partition. It was a while ago, sorry if that's not much help...
Good luck!
Cheers

[Q] I think I killed my Nexus S! Please help! (unlocking process/rooting stuff)

So, this is what has happened so far:
I googled for a small and easy to follow guide to unlock my phone so that I can later on install a custom rom. I followed the steps provided here:
http://nexusshacks.com/nexus-s-hacks/how-to-root-nexus-s/
What I didn't notice on the first place was the "UPDATE: DO NOT FOLLOW THIS GUIDE INSTEAD Please see new root method which works on all Nexus S and Nexus S 4G!" link. Don't ask why - really don't know.
The result was having my Nexus S stuck on a screen that shows Google logo on the middle and an unlocked padlock on the bottom.
It seemed, or to be exact, I figured out that, the problem was the .img file mentioned on some point in the middle of this.. tutorial.
So, I decided to follow the newer guide that can be found here:
http://nexusshacks.com/nexus-s-hacks/how-to-root-nexus-s-or-nexus-s-4g-new/
Although all went well (didn't have to go all over the same processes up to the .img installatin point), I ended up with the same screen that shows Google logo on the middle and an unlocked padlock on the bottom.
I figured out that I could just install a rom at this point, and decided that I should go back to stock. So, I followed this guide here:
http://nexusshacks.com/nexus-s-hacks/how-to-unroot-nexus-s-i9020ti9020ai9023/
But, when I choose to install the .zip file, I get this error:
assert failed: "getprop ("ro.product.device") == "crespo" || "getprop ("ro.product.device") == "crespo"
E: Error in /sdcard/i9020t_i9023.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborded
..let me add to this point that I have bought my Nexus S from EU, it is an i9023. Let me also add that all I wanted is to flash an ICS rom and I think I have ended with a f****d device I don't know what to do with!
Any help, really, would be so much appreciated since I need to use this phone. I have a backup for calls etc but I need some smartphone features!
I seriously doubt you killed your Nexus S. Temporarily disabled is more like it.
From off position, hold down Power + VOL-UP. You should be greeted with a screen with a green android and 4 options. If you can get there, that's the bootloader, and unless you manage to kill it (which is VERY hard to do), you can reflash everything from there via usb and adb.
What model Nexus S do you have? That's important for helping you to flash it.

Yes, I can enter this menu - there already. My model is an i9023GSM.
OK, then you DONT have a dead phone. You just need to reflash it correctly.
I'm sorry I can't be helpful for longer, because I am at work, but follow this guide and make sure you follow every detail (take note of step 6 in particular).
I know it's a long guide, but it's VERY detailed, and should get you up and running.
On a side note, for ROM selection, are you looking for an Ice Cream Sandwich alpha ROM (android 4.0) (less stable) or the older Gingerbread ROMs (2.3.7)?

You gave me the good news so, thank you for that. Now, I should follow this guide and come back in case I have a problem.
As far as the rom, I wanted to flash an ICS since I cannot wait any longer for Google to release the official update. But right now, anything that can get my device up and running would be really good!
Edit: nvm. >_<

OK, stuck already. On Part 2 what I understand is that I have to open the CMD and copy-paste the path to the "tools" folder? Because this is what I do, and after - since this is what I have understand - I type "fastboot oem unlock" and I get "'fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file."
What do I do wrong?
EDIT:
Tottaly stuck on Part 2. It seems that there is no fastboot.exe file inside "tools" folder. I don't think the problem is something else - I'm sure I give the right commands since I tryied for fun another folder I have with fastboot.exe inside and it worked - to be exact it just gave me a FAILED messsage since device is already unlocked. Plus, regarding Part 3, Step 1, the first file for download is missing so I used the second link and downloaded 5023-cyan file. Hope this was a right move to do.
EDIT 2:
Ok, here is the story so far: I followed the guide given step by step. The USB drivers has been installed correctly so the device can be connected to the PC.
In the "tools" folder there was no such fastboot.exe file so I manually added one that I've found on the newer guide given on the 1st post. The unlocking process is failing because the device is already unlocked.
I did manage to install after this, the 5023-cyan.img file since this is the only link working from Part 3, Step 1. This gone well too!
Now, I couldn't go on with Part 4, I mean, I could not install the .zip file as it describes so through recovery mode I installed the .zip file succesfully (confirmation message to Nexus S screen).
I reboot and still get the same Google logo on the middle and an unlocked padlock on the bottom.
I cannot understand what I do so wrong? Oh, I'm so disappointed..
OK, people, head's up! I did manage to install the latest stable rom of cyanogenmod and the phone is up and running! It means that somehow everything went well! Now, how do I return back to OEM? Because I just need to make things as they where before..
..or should I give cyanogenmod a chance?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063664 or use ROM manager and select Stock ROM (you should then receive OTA upgrades to 2.3.6).
On the latter: You colud just back up different ROMs and switch between them using CW.

If you are still facing problems. Try locking your bootloader again with this method. Then it will let you go back on stock. Use v3 it is stable solid and easy to use.

Nice, glad to see you managed to get it working. Honestly, the hassle is kind of worth it, because you learn more about the process anyways.
That being said, give CyanogenMod a chance. There's also several other ROMs. Unless you need stock OS for warranty service, I'd recommend going with one of the many custom ROMs we have here.
There are several minimalistic AOSP-built ROMs that mimic the feel of the stock OS, but are optimized for speed, and still have some very nice tweaks that you may enjoy. Just take a look through the dev section, and you'll see we have tons of options.

It did worth the hassle, that's for sure. Now I think it's so easy to unlock a Nexus plus I now have a little more knowledge regarding Android .
I will stick with CM 2.3.7 as it looks just fine. I don't care about warranty, I don't think I will ever need the official service for a software issue. Now I have to re-install my apps, re-sync my accounts and setup the phone the way I want it. It will take a little more time.
But I'm glad that I pulled this through - with your help of course! Guys, you rock!
I wish that I'll be as helpful as you at the near future.
Today's latest CM9/ICS kang is here
I'd also recommend getting a custom kernel.
For batt life, morfic's SEUV kernel.
For reg performance, perhaps Matrix's kernel
MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE CLOCKWORKMOD PERMANENTLY INSTALLED BEFORE DOING THIS. It saves time if you mess up. Also, make sure you get the latest gapps HERE
Instructions:
1. Go to clockwork recovery
2. Select data/factory reset/wipe
3. Select clear cache as well
4. Adv Mounts and Storage > wipe /system (note, this wipes android off the phone. It's a good idea since youre going from ver 2.x to 4.x)
5. Choose "flash from zip" (or whatever it's called.....NOT flash from update.zip)
6. Flash the cm9 update file first, then flash the kernel of your choice, then flash the gapps file.
7. Back out of the menu and select reboot.
Take note though, that the new ICS OS has incompatibilities with certain apps while GPU rendering is turned on, etc. It'll prob reboot on you sometimes, etc. For the most part it's stable, but that's completely subjective.
If you do run ICS, make sure you turn on GPU rendering in Dev Options. It takes full advantage of the GPU for UI animations, etc. Sometimes there's a stray app here and there that doesnt play nice, and you'll notice if the window looks really tiny or funny. Turning it off will fix the problem.

Two questions:
The link you give me to download the ICS rom keeps loading for ever. So, I choosed this one instead:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356228
Right or wrong thing to do?
It it essential to install a custom kernel? I ask because I forgot to copy/paste the .zip file and due to lack of time, I procceded without it, installing the ROM and G-APPS.

[Q] Ployer Momo8 Tablet

hi all. i just purchased a Ployer Momo8 tablet and it came with Android 4.0 and ICS. i really like the tablet, especially for the extremely low price of $150. my question is, does anyone know of any custom ROMS for this tablet, because it needs serious optimization. especially considering that i have an rooted EVO running a Team Nocturnal ROM fully loaded, so my EVO runs circles around this tablet. i've searched google for custom ROMS for this tablet, but come up with nothing, especially for the 4.0.
Thanks all.
I have this tablet, really nice tablet. A lot of us have downgraded back to 2.3.4 everything seems to work on gingerbread.
I haven't seen any roms, I did put together a recovery for 2.3.4 version. Momo9 seems to have a lot going for it, that's an 7" version of this tablet.
Anyway good luck

how do i downgrade to 2.3? does anyone have the stuff necessary to perform the downgrade with some instruction? i've never downgraded before, only upgraded. i'm sick and tired of the force closes on 4.0.
Here is a custom rom, I made a few changes to it so it can be installed on momo8 via my recovery.
http://bit.ly/ykpLXn
Before you install make sure you back up your data and system via my recovery.
once they are backed up place this zip in the zip folder on your sdcard.
if you created directories you should find on your sdcard a folder called momo8, inside that folder are three more folders. backup, updates, zip
this goes in zip folder.
you need to go to advanced options select wipe system, then you can install zip you would need to press home to go back to main screen from there choice install zip follow onscreen instructions. as with backing up wait a bit after zip is installed before pressing home to go to main screen.
If you want to wipe your data, you can do that as well, you would need to wipe data first before wiping system or come back after you installed zip then wipe data.
the custom rom came from this thread.

issues with tablet
First off, I just bought this thing and it is PAINFULLY slow. After doing some research, I have decided I want to downgrade it to 2.3.4 however, I believe that a lot of folks posting tutorials do not use english as their first language. That said, I downloaded this phoenixprousb, which is definately not in english, and it requires an img and a key. I managed to find a fresh IMG, but no one seems to mention anything about a key.
Does anyone know anything about what they mean by .key and is there an easier better way to do this? The only tutorial I can find requires a .key which they dont include.

Did you install the adampk rom?

no I haven't...
so far , what I did is
root the pone with the one clicker (wich was a success)
did the recovery with the clockworkmod recovery thing,
restarted and exectued this website's tutorial to jellybean (start with WWW stuff.androidauthority.com/g2x-p999-t-mobile-cyanogenmod-10-cm10-unofficial-115536)
and then, look like it failed..
this morning, I managed to get back to the recovery boot screen and found that if I press the house icon it show up a menu.. but this menu giving me access to reboot, wipe cache, data or install update.zip (which was supposed to fix my problem) but this menu is blued out and unaccessible..
dunno if it helped..
right now, I am trying to get acces to my phone doing the no battery boot thing but my pc doesnt seem to recognize my phone + I am at work hehe so I am pretty much limited in acces due tu the it protection and firewall stuff
I am gonna try to redo that stuff tonight at home but meanwhile, if any of what I described may give you a clue on how to help me, I really appreciate the effort!
thanks again for the support guys, I know it can be a pain sometimes to help people screwing some beginner stuff like I probably do right now

I say you needed to use the g2x android development forums on this site to find a suitable jb rom, not this other site. The one click method isn't very stable, so nvflash is most definitely what you need to try to get working. There are very thorough tutorials on how to get that to work. Do you know which clockwork recovery version you have installed? Should be 5.0.2.0. Once you get home, I suggest you read read read. Do as much research you can to make sure you can follow nvflash instructions to the letter. I know I personally spent about a week researching to make sure I had a solid understanding of the procedure.
I recommend getting nvflash going to get clockwork properly installed, then download a rom from xda, nowhere else. I would even say use a gb rom before trying a jb ...the jb roms are hackfest versions, so they have (from my experience) much poorer battery life, and lack hardware acceleration. Netflix and many 3d games won't work. You can use adampk or mazout's roms but they don't have working radio, i.e. no phone/SMS functionality.

Boot into recovery, there should be an option to format or wipe system. Do that then flash the ROM. It won't boot if you flash it over stock.
Also, use the paranoid android rom found in the development section, same cyanogenmod base but works better.

I used this tutorial to fix things,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248644&highlight=nvflash+steps
My main issue was the APX driver wich wasnt installed.. now I know bit more, I still have issue but luckily things goes forward so it gave me the boost to keep working on
but I face a new problem so maybe some of you might be able to help on that new issue
I am from montreal and here in quebec we have videotron instead of t-mobile and since I used a t-mobile boot it looks like my sim card is not recognized anymore..

Ok, wait I think I understand what you're saying now. If you can, pm the op of that thread you used to unbrick. Ask that person if you need some kind of different file in that .zip file to work on your carrier.
I remember having to use that guide to get back to stock. Glad to see you're making progress. I know it can be frustrating when devices get wacky. Good luck!

hehehe sorry, I am not fully used to the right terms so I rather stay in the gray zone by using words like ''thing''
but I can now oficially say I was talking about ROMs
finally, I managed to bring back my phone to the stock mode everything seem to work!
now I can brick it again!
thx for the help!
I began to wonder if it was just a matter of changing APN settings?

[Q] Indipad 10" Unblock or ROM

Hi, just recently some student tablets started to drop in my shop with problems, the latest one was an Indipad 10" made by LGS Caribbean, that is ALL the info I know about it since there are no labels anywhere in the tablet or the box, my guess is a generic Chinese re-branded tablet and it looks like is running ICS 4.0.1 but can't be sure since is locked with a number password. The client brought the tablet in cause her child was playing with it and activated the password screen lock and of course the child doesn't remember what he typed in. :silly:
I'm either looking to unlock the tablet, factory reset it or re-flash stock rom.
I already tried using the volume +/-/power combo for the recovery but it takes me to the android boot error screen, so I guess it has no recovery installed or it was deleted on purpose by the company. Also tried entering a lot of failed passcodes to see if it brings the account recovery option, but is a no go.
Did a Google search to see if I could also find a rom to flash on it but since I'm limited on the info about it nothing has come up.
Many thanks for any help.
No one?
Same thing right here. But i can tell you it is running android 4.0.4, and the build number is: crane_m1003h6-eng 4.0.4 IMM76D 20120921. Of course as you may know the 20120921 is the date so my guess is that it depends on how many updates those tablets have received already. Anyway, the recovery works, cus i have one in here working and you can access recovery from inside android(when you go to factory reset it gives you an option to do so, i did and it works perfect). But again just like you said, It wont work using hardware buttons. I was trying to find someone who can contact me from LGS Carribean but no luck at all. Just nothing, i have a working INDIPAD at this moment and thats how im telling you whats the firmware version and build. Like you said on your post, its an issue dealing with generic tablets it really is. I have not found even a similar enough firmware for the tablet to flash, but i can confirn you can use LiveSuitPack to flash them. Only issue is that i havent found a firmware to do so lol.... And ive look just about everywhere. Im going to run USB deview to check what the real hardware is and brand, if im able to find something ill let you know M8
Many thanks, client called in today and told her I'm still looking for a solution. Will wait for what you find.
Did you get this resolved?
Not yet, @home atm, so I'll check tomorrow for an update.
Seems we still on the black
Yes we are, so far i can tell you the processor is an A10, so its an A10 device. It shows as T10a for manufacturer, but so far thats all i can tell you. There might be a way to pull the firmware image from a working Indipad so that we have something to flash on the password protected ones. But for now, we are all waiting on something
Have same issue

My mother-in-law is an English teacher and has several students with the same issue with a password they forgot or they locked the tablet on accident. I haven't been able to factory reset, but when you mentioned T10a, a quick Google search led me to show that EKEN makes T10a tablets.
I hope I'm not leading you down a rabbit trail, but here is their support site with manuals and firmware downloads
Also, searching on XDA apparently there is a way to get CWM on the EKEN T10a and instructions to flash to their latest ROM.
I haven't had a lot of experience with flashing ROMs, but I have flashed my personal devices before. So please let me know if this is possible in any way. I wouldn't want to mess something up. Well, I hope this helps.

Sweet, I'll do a hardware comparison tomorrow with EKEN T10a and see if they are identical devices (at least from the outside), if they match I'll just try that. The device is a brick atm so it doesn't matter trying to experiment with it.

Awesome! I'm so glad I was able to help. I will go ahead and get mine done.
Its funny, but i have that firmware on my computer. Didnt even know why before this post. Now that i see your posts i realize i have flashed those tablet before using Eken firmwares lol.... Thanks a lot guys
What firmware worked for you? Im asking because i downloaded one of them and when i try to turn the tablet on it will keep booting up and wont flash the new firmware.

The one for T10A, version "T10 G-SENSOR6225".
I also had a bit of a problem at first trying to boot it into flash mode, but what I did was go to the device manager in Windows and saw that there where 2 copies of the special driver that the "LiveSuitPack_version_1.09_20111101.exe" installs, one with the checkmark like they said, the other I assumed was the tablet connected, so I deleted the one with checkmark and tried again, this time it went through and started the flashing process which took less than 2 minutes.
Straight after attaching the cable, and whilst still holding down the volume+ button, start pressing the tablet power button repeatedly. This (slightly frenzied) procedure puts the tablet into update mode.

That was the tricky part, to make it boot into flash mode, it has to be fast between connecting and starting to press the buttons, I took like a 1 second delay between the two things.
Also, got to point out I didn't do the CWM or the root mod, just did the firmware flash cause that's what the client wanted.
Its allright buddy, and thanks. Thing is that i was trying to update it as it said on the Ekken website. But the tablet didnt accept the SdCard update at all. I told you it should be done using LiveSuit and yet i was afraid of bricking the device using LiveSuit ha ha.... Thanks a lot guys, case solved. It took all of us to do so but hey, we made it!!!!

Their server is kinda slow but I use Free Download Manager to download big files and speed up the download.
Also remember this was an experiment and it worked by chance, so no guarantee that it will for every indiPad out there, specially if the manufacturer changes the hardware, you should check the hardware info on the tablet just to make sure we are talking about the same tablet model or you could brick your device.
thanks bro, i know about rom experimental, i think same tablet from Puerto Rico, indiPAD, same eken t10a.
Can you tell me please what file worked on your tablet? i see some files

t10_3axis_7660.rar 208078 KB
t10a-mc32x0-20121012.rar 274256 KB
And maybe possible did backup rom from working tablet too. If you can and have one piece we can dump rom.

t10_2axis_6225.rar is the one I used.
The only working tablet I had was the one flashed, the client already picked it up yesterday, so sorry.

GT-N8000 downgrade and no update.

I've been using Gnabo v_7 version for quite a long time, and a very simple and beautiful day when I woke up my Samsung GT-N8000 was stuck on bootscreen. I wasn't able to do much so I got this "Brazil stock rom" that I found in a website, and it flashed all right, except for the detail that there is something at the screen that I haven't got a bloody clue how to remove. hahaha
And still, whenever I try to install another room, I got stuck at bootlogo and so on. I'm kinda lost here, mind a little help?
I traveled around the forum but well, I'm a little dumb so I couldn't find any proper information about, how to solve this. I would like to know if there is a way to remove this thing from the main screen, and post here the image for you guys to see it please.
I tried to post the image here to make it easier understanding, but since I got this login recently I can't =\
Thanks
Install custom recovery (if you haven't already. If you already have it installed, make sure to update to latest version), root device, wipe everything and flash custom ROM.

So far I've tried the rom = N8000XXUDNE4 [still bootloop], then another 4.1 android version of other German rom XXALGA and nothing. Downloaded 3 Brazilian versions, and nothing. [I am from Brazil]. The only one that worked flashing using Odin was one called "KIES_HOME_N8000UBALGA_N8000ZTOALG3_N8000UBLG5.tar". And still, not recognizing my cellphone chip, and with some big watermark at the middle of the screen showing some information about the ROM and the version is 4.0. Even though this one worked fine, I was able to root and when I tried to flash another room, BANG! Bootloop again! =\
I was looking at the forum topics and I read some about ADB or something like that can fix this and "break" this bootloop making the device work normally again with the roms. But i haven't got a clue how to use it. Please help me! =\

You can use ADB to push/pull files to Android. I don't know if you can use it to fix bootloop. With it, you can also reboot to recovery and sideload zip

Well, after 2 days of research and paying attention on things here, I found out that my problem is "/EFS error". Meaning to use ADB to recover or fix it? But I don't know how to use this. I've downloaded 3GB of it but I was lost about using, and uninstalled. Is is there any short or better version and some good tutorial about using to retrieve my EFS so I can install another roms? I'm using original stock rom now, Brazilian android 4.0 and that's the only only the device is working fine but of course missing things as my cellphone card and the yellow message at the top of the screen. Please guide me through ADB.
P.s Is there a way to create /efs or something like so the device work properly? Cause I've deleted when I installed some rom, and I have no backup here. =\
Thanks!
