[Q] Phone won't boot to system or recovery - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

So I tried to flash Magnolia X 1.0 coming from MIUI. After I wiped from MIUI and tried to install Magnolia I got an error. No big deal right? So I figured I would reboot recovery ( clockwork mod ) and try again, if it didn't work I could restore MIUI. When I hit reboot recovery I got stuck in a bootloop, from white htc screen to off. It just looks like it is trying to get to recovery but it is not loading it for some reason. So I decided to boot it into hboot and reflash the recovery, or possibly flash twrp. Now my problem is that the computer is not recognizing the phone, so none of my fastboot or adb commands do anything I just get <waiting for device>. Any ideas?

So right after I made the post I was able to get the drivers to reinstall and was able to re flash the recovery. Tried both CWM and TWRP and neither will boot. With TWRP I can get to the recovery splash screen but then it just goes black. Downloading the RUU now and I am going to try to flash that through the bootloader. Other than that I have no othe ideas...anyone else have any?

Got it...had to relock bootloader and run ruu then extract the stock recovery and flash it. Rebooted into recovery let it sit, then it rebooted back to the bootloader. Re-unlocked bootloader then flashed TWRP and it worked fine. Back up and running again.

[Q] Possibly Bricked NXS4G...Help!?!

So, I'm in a bad spot with my Nexus S 4g. I had CWR installed on it and flashed a new rom yesterday to try it out, I had been running Deck's rom. I don't remember what the name of the rom was I flashed yesterday, but I didn't care for it so I was going to flash MIUI this morning. When i went to boot into recovery it brought me to the fastboot screen and said no boot or recovery img. From there I rebooted back to the rom I have loaded and tried to search around on the interwebs a little. I went into ROM Manager and tried to reflash the recovery, but that didn't work as upon reboot it did the same thing in returning to fastboot everytime. I did some more searching and I found info on an app called flash image that's in the app store that will flash kernels and recovery's. So I dl'd it and tried to reflash clockwork recovery from there. It gave me an error about not enough free space on the device. I went back to ROM Manager and set it to erase the current recovery before it flashed the new one in hopes that it would resolve the issue. So I reflashed the recovery again and went to boot to recovery. Now I can't get past the bootloader/fastboot screen at all. It won't boot to android, it won't boot to recovery. My pc won't recognize the phone to allow me to install the drivers for adb...I'm at a loss.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea what to do next.
Thanks in advance...
Did you try to flash recovery through the computer from the cmd window, Because ROM manager doesn't flash recovery properly sometimes.

[Q] HTC J Butterfly Half Bricked

Hi, so i got my phone last week. And yesterday, I decided to try and flash some custom roms on it. My device is pretty funny, I live in Hong Kong and when i bought my device, they have done S-OFF, unlocked bootloader, even custom recovery with twrp AND cwm. Now the default recovery was twrp, I tried flashing some roms, tried different ones, my device doesn't acccept them, after installing the rom, my device boots, shows the red text, stuck there for around 15 seconds and it reboots itself into the same state. So I used my twrp backup and flashed the recovery to cwm to give it a shot, the results are the same. And then at point, i booted up into recovery and it says Entering Recovery, and it gets stuck there forever. I can't boot into the system either. I tried using fastboot clear the cache, reflash the two different recoveries, no luck. I can get into bootloader and nothing else. Tried using HBOOT CL99IMG.zip method, but my phone just doesnt accept the roms. Any ideas?
Thankyou, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Any ideas? Anyone? Because all i need to do is to boot into twrp recovery. However, when i try to boot recovery it just says entering recovery, with the htc screen, and stays there forever. Any Suggestions?
Did you try "fastboot erase cache" command ?
Try to flash the boot.img included in your rom.zip with "fastboot flash boot boot.img"

Yea I did, apparently i got something. I mixed some files from the HTL21 Taiwan zip thingy, with the signed rom. I am able to boot into the os. However once I unlock it it crashes. Recovery still doesnt work :/
Anyways, thanks for the suggestion Appreciate it.
UPDATE: Now the phone isn't accepting anything from fastboot :/
It all says FAILED <remote:not allowed>
This is getting nuts lol
The fastboot is activated in the settings in your rom ?
Not sure about that, probably no :/ but thats the only rom i can get working
I can see it fastboot devices tho
anyone else? anymore ideas? :/
ok, so I got my phone kinda working. I used the htc butterfly toolkit, somehow flashing the X920e recoveries can make it work. I then restored from my previous backup with twrp, which contains system, data, boot. but when i boot into the system, it says loading widget, everything works fine for a while, then it suddenly crashes. I have tried restoring the system with only system and boot without data, still no luck. any ideas?? i have attached my log
any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks

Stuck in Fastboot

Okay so I tried to flash cyanogenmod 11 for the first time on this moto G (US). It bootlooped and I tired to reflash it again and it did the same. There was no way of returning to stock because I had not made a backup. So I tried to flash stock in the bootloader and that didn't work. I went into the recovery and it said 'cant mount /sdcard. So go back into the bootloader and format the sdcard and that doesn't work (which I returned to the recovery to see it not working). I go back and flash twrp thinking that recovery would have something to help me flash a new rom and now I don't even have a working recovery. It takes me straight back to the bootloader and every time I flash a recovery it says Mismatched partition size (recovery) and I am unable to boot into it.
I have no clue on what to do at this point and I need help.
also it says invalid "boot image header!" in red letters

Twrp_MotoG_signed_010814_163615.zip
Download vocoderisms TWRP build, extract "recovery.img" from it.
After you have kitkat installed and working:
Option 1, use TWRP without install:
Boot to bootloader (adb reboot bootloader), boot twrp (fastboot boot recovery.img) and install rom from there.
Option 2, install TWRP (have not tested):
Upload twrp zip to phone (adb push Twrp_MotoG_signed_010814_163615.zip /sdcard/), boot to bootloader (adb reboot bootloader), boot twrp (fastboot boot recovery.img), install Twrp_MotoG_signed_010814_163615.zip.

You do know flashing stock again removes root, so it has to be rerooted again ?

PLEASE READ, Bricked, PLEASE HELP

i have a htc one s ive been using for over a year now, recently i decided to try to flash recovery using termnal instead of cwm or goomanager because the flash always failed. so i used the dd if something command in terminal and now when i rebooted it got stuck on the splash screen, i then tried to go into recovery via bootloader but then accidently pressed factory reset and everything went downhill, i flashed stock radio did the clear storage then reflashed cwm and flashed the cyansense rom, it went through quick and when i rebooted the same thing happened, stuck on splash screen. i tried erasing cache from fastboot and nothing, i tried flashing ruu and it goes to 3% then fails. i need my phone back to stock for work. i am s-off with custom splash screen and cid 111111111 i will post a picture later.i can access recovery and bootloader. i desperatley need help
If you can access bootloadee I don't see a reason for the RUU to fail.. Just connect your phone when on bootloader make sure it says fastboot usb, close all other programs and run the RUU as admin. If you cant do that try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2322755 and then factory reset and clear storage (DO NOT flash custom recovery yet just follow exactly the instructions) and after fact reseting and clearing storage flash custom recovery and flash rom. (I think the newest cwm doesn't work, neither in mine worked I don't know just flash twrp 2.6.3.0 or an older cwm 6.0.3.1 works fine for me.)

T-Mobile Pixi 7 (9006w) - softbricked after OTA attempt-Resolved

Well, I put the tablet back to stock and then ran through the OTA. The update never completed and softbricked it, will only boot into recovery. I have cleared cache/data/userdata/system/boot/recovery and reinstalled stock ones (fastboot flash .IMG files) and still boots to recovery. Stock recovery says "installing software update" and then "Error!" with the red triangle, TWRP and CWM work fine, but it will never load to Android. It is like the Bootloader is stuck in update mode and won't boot to android until it completes. I have tried to restore a Nandroid (TWRP) and it still just boots back to recovery. I have no luck with anything, though the fastboot flash process completes without issue.
Thanks to @aclegg2011 & @YarsRevenge78 for the files and instructions/information. :good:
Any Ideas?
Anybody?? I need to get this thing working again.
I do have another one to pull stock images from.... anybody?
Apparently, all I had to do was just let it sit at the "Error!" screen until it ran through the installation and came back to the stock recovery screen. I then wiped data and cache then it rebooted fine, minus my data. Thanks anyways.
