[ROM][ICS][4.0.4][IMM76L] --Unofficial-- CyanogenMod 9 Builds - DEV ONLY! - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

These are unofficial builds (aka KANGs) of cyanogenmod 9, compiled from my repo, it includes *most* of dhiru1602 fixes and some others, i'm always at contact with him, so this is not an entirely separated effort.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
This is what makes this different from teamhacksung/dhiru1602 builds:
Button backlight behavior:
It also has BLN. but there are differences when the screen is on, the button lights are on or off depending ambient light, details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27792637&postcount=68
Overclock: (thanks XDA-Bam)
It has opp5 (1,2Ghz) but it's not enabled by default, you can turn it on by going into settings>performance>processor>max freq and select 1200, first ensure this works for you, test for a few hours intensively, if you don't have problems then you can enable 'set at boot'
Odexed by default:
Main reason is the first boot speed after an update and stability.
Tweaks:
by default it uses SmartassV2 as governor and Sio as scheduler.
launcher always in memory flag to prevent launcher redraws
i recommend turning off zram and and also turning off 'allow purge of assets', but it's up to you what you do...
Updates:
Every release will be updated to the lastest sources of cyanogenmod and teamhacksung, until official nightlies reach, then i'll stop updating.
Download: The builds are abandoned, nothing to download.
Get the Google apps from here
Sources are here.

Known issues:
*.Radio FM: use Spirit FM, Check this thread for more info
*.Wifi is semi-broken, add a fake network and then scan and connect to yours.
*.Front camera preview is stretched (picture is fine)

Linaro is an organization, the correct thing would be asking if i use linaro toolchain to compile, the answer is no, for now i'm using armeabi-4.4.3 since it's the official google/cm i may change later on, but we'll see about compiler problems, Codeworkx send a patch to do this. As you can see, not very welcomed.
the other thing that linaro does is fixing android, and some of the patches are sended to gerrit and if they get accepted (if it work without breaking anything) they are included on the official base, so it has some of their fixes.

+1 to luiseteyo
so, why not join force to build the Dhiru build, to get the stable rom?
whats the purpose if we get latest CM9 code but can not use it?
so, why we have 2 CM9 port with bug?
it just a my doubt, nothing personal, please ignore if it serve no sense.

i wish you have read the OP, i'm at contact with dhiru we share the code, this are test builds, and they have things that aren't on teamhacksung repo, because of different timezones, criteria, whatever, for example 20120616 has the last 3 commits of camera that i compiled and uploaded as 'hotfix-1' in the official thread.
in addition to everything the OP says its different.

20120617 will be up in a few hours
*Recovery: now work as root
*Recovery: in addition to power button, menu key work as enter
*Reboot download option in reboot menu
*Kernel: Less quota messages on the log
*Updated cyanogenmod base
i'll not put home key as enter in recovery, because if you have to use VolUp+Home to boot recovery when you release the home button, sometimes it triggers 'reboot system now'

I think it's good to have support and have several basic ICS.
Everyone focuses on different problems, that's it makes a good share.
The sun shines for everyone, I am happy for your help and Thank You.
I'll tell you what and urgent for user MluI
Can you solve the problem of scanning and recording wifi network
At present a port MluI do more work with wifi because of numerous update.
I can not get a fix with a settings.apk "4.0.3-2.3.30" last operation on 2.6.1
right now "4.0.4-2.6.15" forced to use a backup to restore its wifi

When recording or playing video, the DSP might cause the OPP layer to ignore the cpufreq frequency constraints and use higher than specified freqs. This commit will fix this.
Concerning the Home button: I don't understand. Do you press it for hours? For me, the device vibrates after two seconds or so and I release all keys. After that, it takes some additional seconds to load the recovery. There's not a chance I trigger "reboot system now" by accident

Before you patch it happened to me and I got used to the menu button, always because of that damn home button problem

Unofficial AOKP - ICS Milestone 6 20 Feb 2013
After a days of work I finally was able to get AOKP ICS working with some tweaks
I have made some changes to the MIlestone 6 release
AOKP
- Romcontrol has been cleanup a bit I have removed the old performance control app in favour of the newer one found in JB
- Updated some of the icons from JB (device options, rom control, performance control and themes)
- Updated nova launcher, added in CM filemanager
Personal
- Added some stuff to the kernel ( frandom module, fake vsync, rgnd) more details here
- More stuff who knows just look at my github can't remember now
Bugs
- Should be the same as Eppy's 2ndboot ics
- If you find any I will try fix what I can just hit me up with a logcat...... Tutorial here
Installation -
Coming from a JB rom
- First you need to either convert to ext3 through the bootmenu--->Tools--->File system or wipe all from the stock recovery
- Once you have done that install the zip as normal and flash gapps if needed.....
Everyone else
- Wipe all (data, cache and dalvik cache)
- Install rom zip and gapps if needed
Reboot and enjoy ^_^
Download from here https://github.com/Kayant/Roms/tags
Download V2
Download as zip then unzip the download look through the folders and you will find a file named aokp_mb526_unofficial_20130220.zip
Congrats you found the rom :cyclops:..... Happy flashing
Mirror - http://www.uncledan.it/android-files/AOKP/
Thanks to UncleDan as usual
Credit and Thanks
Ryuinfern - for his init.d frandom script
Epsylon3 for his device tree which am using as a base and also for his work on some framework stuff and also for his work on the ics kernel
Nadlabak, Quarx and Blechdose for the kernel stuff I used
AOKP for AOKP
Without these Guys this will not be possible so a big THANK YOU to them again.....
Notes
- It's a hybrid build meaning use can use either 2ndinit mode = stock kernel or 2ndboot mode = custom kernel
This all thanks to Epsylon3
You won't get the options like KSM etc as AOKP's settings and performance control don't include it but am looking at a way of porting it ..... look out in the future for an update
- Default boot is 2ndinit and can be changed to 2ndboot which will allow BL7 green users to use the their camera again if am not mistaken

More like tripling them
Wow! run´s very smooth and fast! i love all the "aokp-options"
Some more details... There's no "Go To Sleep" toggle or shortcut of any kind and the "Torch" toggle needs to start the whole camera module to make the LED shine :/
A little things i notice.
_ process rom control is consuming more battery that it should be. I meant, does this process keep in memory doing who knows? May be i ignore that must b be this way.
_ aokp wallpapers don't keep centered. I think the app could be maded for other resolution.
_ navigation bar isn't working.
And one cool thing, is possible to use an image for background of notification area!

Hey Kayant,
Great work with the JB port. Lots of things working, but i need to say a few things
1: When using a custom theme, you have to apply system theme before rebooting. If you
boot while using a custom theme, you will have no statusbar until you apply "System" theme
and reboot.
2: Bootanimation is laggy and temporarily freezes after every cycle.
3: Camera takes a while to load. Will have a black screen or a frozen picture at first, then
resolves after a few seconds.
4: Obviously, navigation bar doesn't work.
Edit: Oh and I forgot this.
5: Screenshot doesn't work; there is no option to turn it on, and it is absent from the power menu.

screenshots works for me (power button + volume down button together )
i even posted some , link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30147301&postcount=75
power button + vol. down for screenshot is universal for ICS and JB ROMs.
Stock clock doesn't work and neither does the installed baseband switcher. It caused a boot loop when switching to T-Mobile.
I installed V.4 switcher and it worked fine but after about a day the 3g disconnects. When I reboot to reconnect it boot loops again till I clear cache and dalvic.
Sent from my Xoom using xda premium
Edit: I disabled the boot animation and re-tried the default baseband switcher and no boot loop and so far it is keeping the connection.

oh ok I'll try that for screenshot
but no one has solved the theme problem?
But there is one thing; if you apply custom theme and reboot recovery to wipe cache + dalvik, then the status bar stays until
next reboot. If you don't wipe those two things, then the problem is still there

Have no idea why it bootloops, but wouldn't it be easier to toggle "Airplane Mode" for connection restoring? :cyclops:
And what do you mean by "stock clock doesn't work", which one? I've tried both analog clock widgets and ended up using the digital one, they were all fine, and so was the clock in the status bar..!
Been trying to find some news on the JP AOKP, but no luck... Did find one more interesting ROM, though, some people comment it as better than AOKP - BAMF Paradigm

[ROM][AOSP][69MB] FoxhoundPlus *MAJOR UPDATE IS COMING!*

I tested almost every rom with every kernel and mods.
Each rom got advantages which I prefered but none of the could please me to 100 percent.
So, one day I thought about making my own first one...
It should definetely Gingerbread based because of the battery drain and the beta state of ICS.
I thought we got enough stock based roms and one CM7-based one.
I wanted to make something NEW.
FoxhoundPlus is the result.
First: the disclamer

KERNEL
FoxhoundPlus is AOSP based-> YOU CANNOT FLASH STOCK BASED KERNEL!
If you flash a stock based one you will risk BRICKING your rom!
This rom comes with 2 different kernel:
[br]mazen912 AOSP kernel (stock): ~no UV/OC support
-no custom boot sound
[br]SkyHigh AOSP build by Skywalker01: +UV/OC support up to 1804mhz
+custom boot sound support

[br]SkyHigh non OC (didn't test it yet)
[br]Broodkernel AOSP by Broodplank1337: +UV/OC support up to 1804mhz
+custom boot sound support
-hardly working vibration
-no headset working
[br]They did a great work thank you for this!!!
[br]I would recommend using mazen912 AOSP kernel, you will reach about 50-100 more points in antutu.
INSTALLATION
Download the file/s to your SD memory card
Reboot in recovery mode (I would recommend CWM/CWM Touch or TWRP)
Wipe EVERYTHING (System, Cache, Dalvik)
Install those zip's you like.
Read the log.
Reboot and enjoy!
If you come from FoxhoundPlus itself, there is no need to wipe system (you can do this with every AOSP rom, unluckily there is only FoxhoundPlus)

Well. Maybe you should pm arco and ask how he fixed the in call volume on cm9.
I like your rom so far. Two questions:
1: Can i change widgets in the notification drawer? (Its been a long time since i used cm7 and i dunno if that is possible)
2: why dont i get a lockscreen? When i press the power button, the screen goes off. Press power again and he directly goes to where i was. No lockscreen. Even when i set pattern.
Once again, really nice work on the framework en systemui! Keep up the good work!

1. I'm afraid you cannot (maybe I can manage to "steal" the quickpanel settings app from CM7
2. Had this bug with my first version too, just reboot your device and the bug is gone forever
Very good rom is my first impression. In call volume it is one problem which must be fixed. I will continue the testing because this special rom needs more testing. I will report if more problems.

Is the usb debug notification and bug off cm7? It wont go away and i thoughed there was a solution for that... not sure tough
Btw. Just installed dead space and mass effect and no lag at all!
Also. When everything is closed, only 80 mb ram is used for the.system app! Great!

Lockscreen worked after reboot, as you say it would.
All the songs are mp3 format. So it isnt related to that.
And i thoughed it was app related to, so i flashed some zip wich i had there for a while. The sou.d complication thing? You know. For better sound. It comes with another music player. But same problem

[CENTER][SIZE="7"]Important[/SIZE]
Since I'm getting some pm's about rom related things these days, some info here.
I don't work on the rom itself, so I can't/won't fix any rom related bugs (e. g. wrong translations).
I use ivanich's kernel and device trees and I modify only the device tree, not the kernel.
If you have any questions about rom related things (features or something) search for it first.
I don't mind if people ask if they can't find something immediately, but often a quick search on google or in the forum is much faster, than posts or new threads.
If you don't have 10 posts to post in here, ask in the Q&A thread which is linked in Dev:DB bar.
And most important don't except from me to do anything just because you want it, though you can ask politely.
Thank you![/CENTER]

I gave this build a quick test today and had no issues, though there might be something not working.
If anyone finds something, please give me as much information as possible.
Awesome! I was thinking about making a build of this one myself. Have any opinions about it yet?

Didn't run this for very long but what I did see of it was fine, honestly can't say it did anything special. Idk much about the liquid smooth ROMs though.
Viper4Android
V4A is integrated in this ROM, but still needs installing its kernel driver. The install dialoge return an error that my busybox version is wrong.
I tried to install a new version with installer apps from play store and changing the ROM version of V4A with the one i got downloaded. The error was there on all...
For me V4A is very important(can't live without it^^), but I like the features of this ROM. Maybe will come up with a idea.
Skype problems?
Not sure whether this is related to the ROM or my phone. Haven't tried Skype since I installed Carbon ROM a month or so ago so don't know for sure it was working before, but it definitely isn't working now.
App starts and all my favs and people are there, I can even tap on one of the contacts and start a call but no sound and they don't receive the call. Also, when they try to call me it says I'm available but I don't get their call, even though it sounds like it's ringing at their end.
Anyone else tried Skype on this one?
This is definitely not a show stopper for me... love the ROM otherwise and obviously don't use Skype much! I use GrooveIP (and that works fine)

The only issue I know about skype is that while in call there might be no sound, but that can be fixed by enable and disable the speaker.
Yeah I had tried to do that but tapping the speaker button in call seems to just end the call.
I'm sure this will be fixed upline and again not a real problem for me.
Thanks

Cyanogenmod bug(since all ROM's kangs cm upstream), reproducible at all cm devices, for example Nexus4(mako) is affected.
Use 3dparty app(trickster, etc.) till cm fixes that.

He-he. No, I made only about 10 commits to kernel (build config and tried to temporary fix wacom driver crash - kernel panic). It's forked CM's repo.
Disabling SELinux didn't made thing.
But I have some progress with camera (but still not working) and may be RIL.
Sorry, but I have some time only in the evening and weekends.

I am not a developer but flashka07 has answered my Prayers, I was hoping for a CyanogenMod 12 ROM for the SM-N900 and just somehow my dreams came true. Although the Note 3 is my main phone but for this progress, I devote to be among the early testers....
Congrats for the Great Work. Looking forward to a fully working ROM, then we can have the taste of a stock Android on the Eynos

Mobile data still not work...

Can you please fix issue with volte sim and dialer?
In volte sim, if someone calls me or i call someone, it is shown as missed call
And also call duration shown is weird
Eg if i talk for 10 mins, it will be shown ass 100 min or 69 min etc
And vibrate on connect also doesn't work properly
So inshort, can you please fix dialer?? I don't want to use google dialer because it doesn't have vibrate on connect feature
And dialer is basic requirement of a mobile
Can you change icon mask of apps from square to circle please?

Sorry but no, I won't revert it coz I have no issue w that. Actually, I prefer it this way, or else I would have reverted it from the beginning. I hope you understand . Basically, omni is already my favorite, I just season it a lil bit to my own taste .
Mayb I would find a way to compile the rom and kernel w toolchain like linaro or so later when I have free time. I'm currently a lil bit busy w works that haven't been able to do so
