Did it delete all your data, or everything on your sd card? Can your phone turn on, if it can just try and install the HTC drivers then.

I'm pretty sure Recuva only works on PCs... if you data is gone, it is gone buddy. You should have read the warnings everywhere that all your data will be deleted.
so all my data is gone but i can get into recovery and into fastboot just ont anything else i have nothing in any files no zips or anything
when i try ruu i tried all the ones availbe 1.73,.82 and .85 but non of them work i keep getting error 155
im comming from aokp
Find the CWM that has ADB fixed. Flash that, push a ROM to the card, flash that.
I'm not sure about getting photos and such back. That Recuva program has worked for others though.

no offense and i know youve done more than alt fo the xda community but the comment u made wast helpful again no offense but recuva does work on androids
google search
It took 5 tries to relock mine when I RUUed.
In CWM, try to delete cache and delete Dalvik (under "Advanced" in CWM), then reboot. This works when my HTC Flyer randomly will not mount internal SD over USB.

did what all my friends told me to do, who have the evo apparently a bad mistake. used unrevoked to root my evo, worked perfect. stoked!! downloaded titanium backup, backed up everything, worked great. still happy. went to install a rom (i guess) it told me i needed to change my kernel and had a link to the market for a kernel downloader. downloaded the app looked through bout five different kernels, all had good reviews and stable... downloaded the one with the most downloads (6700 or something). asked download? i said yes. asked flask now? i said yes. it said flash complete reboot coming... rebooted got to the HTC EVO 4G white screen sat there for bout 15 seconds and shut off tried to reboot again same thing. bout ten times in a row so i pulled the battery. did a hard reset didnt fix, did a wipe, didnt fix....
anyone know what i can do please help.. thank you
You need to match the right kernel for the ROM your using, you can download and put it on your SD card boot into bootloader should be good to go. Worst case reflash ROM.

Go into bootloader (power off, then back on while holding volume down) Go into recovery, choose install from zip, then find the ROM on your SD card and flash.

Find a ROM in the EVO section here at XDA ( Your in the EVO Shift forum) http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=653

Dont hook it to the pc. When the phone is off (hold volume down then hold the power button) it will boot into bootloader, volume down to recovery, hit power to select.

i was hacking my inspire with Ace hack kit, and it somehow froze and wouldnt continue so i unplugged it and it seems like it got bricked or something idk ? like i turned it off took the battery out and back in and when it looks like its loading the screeen fades into a black screen .......... i tryed recovering, reseting and nothing. can any one please help me ? thanks
Grab a rooted STOCK ROM online and rename it to the PG98IMG.zip.
Reboot into bootloader and update the phone with that file.
You're phone should be back to normal. Happened to me once and that's what I had to do!
ps I attached the stock rooted gingerbread. Should do the trick bro
nooooooo. i really think my phone is F***ed up because when i turn it on it goes to a black screen, and doesnt load up
Can you get into hboot/bootloader? If so, you can recover it, following ladiesgod instructions. Youll just need to get the PG98 file onto your sd somehow....using a card reader plugged to pc or laptop or friends phone.

i did what you told me, im in bootloader but how do i load the ROM and install it?
I couldn't attach the file but google for "Stock GingerBread Rooted PD98IMG.zp". Download it. Rename it to "PD98IMG.zip" then place it on the root of your SD card. Go into HBoot. Your phone will scan your sd card then ask if you want to update it. Say yes!
Voila!
would you mind giving me a link for it? all it does is send me to some post here on XDA thanks, n btw i randomly tryed with a Custom ROm, it didnt work is it because of that?
Make sure it is named properly. Very important. I Dont know what the inspire is, ice seen both PG98 and PD98 typed here. I dunno cuz i have an evo. But as long as the file is named properly, hboot will detect it
Good luck
Edit: and MUST be on root of sd card, not in any folder.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Yeah, i Dont believe a custom rom will work because of something in the meta-inf folder, or having to do with updater script/binary. Will need a rooted stock ROM, renamed exactly right.

Trust me it is. There is a link in the first post that says in pd98img format. Which is what you need at this point.
My suggestion is to reformat the SD card fat32. Full format not quick.
Download the pd98 I linked and place on SD card(not in a folder)
Boot into hboot and install it

I think I know what message you're talking about. What you have to do is format your SD card.
I've gotten the same message before about a 'bad' image. Formatting my sd card and puttin the ROM on a clean card worked. Good luck!
I have tried to flash a wifi patch that was meant to solve problems with connections, and when i chose it from the list in Rom manager, when it rebooted into recovery it got stuck on the HTC logo, but before i flashed it. Now, i have a very old backup that i restored but i want everything that i had before my device couldnt boot itself. i backed up through recovery my current rom that i wasnt able to boot, and i wonder if there is some way to fix it with the files of .img that i have backed up. I know that the patch was responsible for this error because after i restored to an old backup i tried it there aswell and i got the same result doing the same thing...

Hmmm... one of those things huh? The only way I know is to restore the corrupt nandroid and then without restarting, flash the original ROM.zip of your rom (the one that you first used to do a clean install) right on top of this while in recovery. What this will do is to replace the files from the patch with the original files that camera with the ROM.
Try it and post your results.
And please get into the habit of creating nandroid backups before flashing anything...no matter how small the patch is or how confident you are that nothing will go wrong...
Hope this helps.

Yes. Use a card reader...

Heres the deal
Flashed MIUI, and im getting an unmountable/unavailable SD card problem. Cant mount to my PC either.
I tried using the RUU to go back to stock, getting errors. Tried factory resetting via CWM, but its giving my SD card mount problems as well. Tried factory resetting via phone settings. Phone just reboots.
Im stuck here, and I have no idea what to do.
You need to relock bootloader to flash the RUU.

Yes do that. Also I had issues with some Ruus not working with some drivers, kept gettin error 150 or maybe 140... Anyway I changed adb drivers and it worked. Don't get frustrated just yet.. We'll get u back
Also what about partition sd card in CWM? Don't know if it's there, should be. If not, install twrp and partition sd card from there.

I'm not sure if this is the right section or not, sorry if it's not, but my phone is really screwed up. I have the htc one S on T mobile that is running the viper one s rom on cwm 10 and will just go to a black screen after displaying the htc screen. I don't have any nandroid backups or copies of working roms either, so I can't boot from those. I did not have USB debugging checked before my phone became corrupt, so I'm pretty sure that ABD will not work, and whenever I try and plug my phone into the computer and access the flash boot menu, it will say that the USB is corrupt and it will not work. The cause of this is because I was messing with the build.prop, I accidentally deleted it, although I have a backup, there is no way if installing it in my phone's current state. It's getting to the point where I honestly don't care if I lose al of my stuff just as long as my phone will work again. Any knowledge shared on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Recovery and fastboot and that's about it.
Get a micro sdcard or if you have one already, get a micro sdcard reader, open case from back of your phone and take out the microsdcard.
Put it in the card reader. Copy the rom/image... put the card back in... boot in recovery... use the rom from sdcard to flash that rom.
Have fun..

1. Go to this forum to ask for more help.
