Hallo all
I've a little problem with Nexus S.
I've unlocked Bootloader and I've installed the touch Recovery CWM 5.8.0.2-crespo.
I've installed Paranoid android ROM. When I reboot in recovery... PUF recovery is not there!
how to solve?
Flash recovery again, your previous stock ROM probably flashed stock recovery.
Also, this is not the section to post this - questions/issues go in the Q&A forum. Development is the only reason new threads are opened here. Specific issues/problems/gratitude for a certain ROM or the likes go in the dedicated thread. If unsure where to post a thread, throw it in general.

yes, to be more specific: go to fastboot mode on the phone, go to adb, and type fastboot flash recovery <path to your recovery.img> and you should be good to go. for more info, here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Flash_image

What does it do when you reboot and are you selecting to reboot into recovery or just reboot to the ROM?

Stock roms replace clockwork with standard recovery, u have to remove a file to stop this happening. I know what I am asking for exists, I just can't find one with a working download link.

Thanks I did see that, but that has tweeks etc.. I am looking for straight stock, not altered except for root and that recovery file removed.
If all you're out to do is keep Clockwork, flash this after flashing (but before booting into) stock rom.

This and keep root, should I just flash super user zip at the same time?
Thanks for the help.
Yeah, that will work. What the above zip does is remove the script file that regenerates stock Android recovery, so Clockwork doesn't get deleted on every boot.

Can you go into Bootloader/Fastboot? (Volume Down + Power)
EDIT: Read your other thread. You need to flash a stock recovery. You can do that via fastboot. Flash a stock recovery, format SD card, then flash a custom recovery again and you should be good to go.
Process of flashing any recovery is easy. Refer to the method in my signature, you just need to follow the RECOVERY FLASHING PART ONLY.
Other necessary info is also available.

Great. Now you have a stock recovery. Just format the SD Card from recovery and the SD should be good.
Afterwards, you can flash any custom recovery and mess around with flashing ROMs etc.

Download This. Open the zip file with 7-Zip or WinRAR, go to firmware.zip, extract recovery.img.
Then flash the recovery in the same way. This is the stock recovery and not TWRP.
I am assuming your phone to be S3 and updated to Jellybean already.

NEVER!
So my answer would be, Uninstall super su and weak sauce then flash super su.zip from recovery for full root.
PROFIT.
If anyone else runs into this problem of no fastboot
Download flashify and flash the recovery image thru the app.
Then flash super.su thru your recovery.
Then have lunch =p
SUCCESS.

Thanks man. I successfully rooted my phone.
Why do you need to run commands to extract the recovery file etc? Doesn't backing up using CWM do the same thing? Can't you just copy the files from the backup folder to your PC?

Hi there!
I've been trying to flash any custom recovery to my p5100. It was never flashed before. What I did:
-tried to follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657056
-tried to follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50174804&postcount=3
I was doing those guides step-by step, didn't forget a thing (I'm sure)-
But everytime I flash something via PDA to the device in ODIN, and I try to go to the recovery, I get the stock recovery (3e) where I cannot apply any *.zip files as updates.
My goal is to install some android 5.0.x to the device. I know the risks.
Thank you in advance for help.

Hi,
1. Root your device using CF - Auto Root for p5100 basically download it and flash it using ODIN
2. Install any custom recovery you want this topic Custom Recovery. I use TWRP but feel free to use anything you want.
3. Go to the GT-P5100 Development and choose any Lolipop Rom that you like and enjoy it

Unmark Auto-reboot option and manually reboot into recovery.
Stock ROM overwrites custom recovery by stock one.
