Hey there, i tried to revert back to Stock to get my touchscreen fixed,
so i searched the hole forum read most of the post and found a video discription. i followed the discription but it seems, that i flashed the wrong hboot (i have the branded german tmobile version). i thought there would be no difference then the one the guy in the video flashed (Branded tmo uk version). But it seems it is different. Cause when i did the ruu, after a while hen it tried to flash the rom (radio etc. before worked) it says i would need the correct ruu for my phoneversion.
ok great, i thought...
At the moment i can only get to hboot (by pressing vol down + power). It says im back s-on (at least one thing worked -.-). Now im stuck with three options and i dont know which is the best and wether any works.
1.) Get temp root and flash an different hboot version. found one in a german forum, dont know if it is the correct one, could be the one from the unbranded version. and then try ruu again.
2.) Try to get temp root and do the revolutionary method to get s-off and recovery etc. and do the whole thing form the start on.
3.) Or i try to do the ruu form the tmo uk version, which the guy in the video flashed.
One more question, is any of the versions possible? i'm not sure if i can ue temp, revolutionary in the hboot mode!
Can u guys pls help me finding the best way to get back to stock. Need to return to tmo ger to get the touchscreen fixed cause the lower part and the ofttouch buttons acting automatically by pressing the frame of the desire s.

I tried to do a debrand the HTC Sensation of my brother, I have not been very clear that part of the upgrade program, so I moved on thinking it should do but not, I have found and I have rom.zip in my power, the problem: HTC Sensation has been updated leaving the chipset radio version 1.24.401.1, after S-off and root, to finish the upgrade, I left the firmware or free Rom "Vodafoneless" but the root gone, first of all I made a backup with recovery version 1.17.008 from vodafone, I thought it must return to recovery. Hboot surprise me says I have the previous radio version but instead of being the 1.17.008 is now 011 and S-off but attempting to start the recovery does not work. I restarted the process of S-off but failed because it only supports up to 012 and put me clearly that I had in my possession the 1.24.401.1 you know.
Considering I backup the previous version, there is no way to reverse the process back to the previous version to start again from 0 (You know that the recovery does not work) either through the SDK or some similar procedure to 1.24. ..
The weirdest thing is that the hboot tells me I have the radio version 1.17.011 as I have already mentioned, S-off but the recovery icon I get the attention of the phone and still no more.
If you have any idea, do not worry me too much the phone works perfectly and has no problem to version 1.24 but I can wait to see if there is a chance to reload the firmware security image above.
Thank you very much in advance and sorry for my english! A greeting

Hiya,
I think I get what you're saying, just try flashing the latest RUU now (1.35.401..) it will install over the 1.24 and bring you completely up to date - I did the same as you, although I remember I think I needed to SCID the phone to get the latest RUU to run properly found here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192630&page=4
Download the BAT File which is easier than doing the whole adb stuff
Hope it helps..

The version numbers your quoting seem to be a mix of rom version's and h-boot version's but then you mention radio version's so its a bit confusing.
Have a look in THIS thread. You must really understand what you are doing though as you could brick the phone if you are messing with H-boot and radio's.
Does the phone work, boot? I restored my back up a couple of days a go, (needed it for copilot licence), and it worked fine but it does leave you s-off.
Ok let's try to explain again
i know my wrote english it's **** but, it's the only i have.
Trying to debrand the phone (htc sensation) in the step to get the rom.zip from the ruu_pyramid of 1.24 from temp folder i follow the entire process and it flash my pyramid 1.17 to 1.24. when i run the hboot it print in the screen i got 1.17.2008 (now i tryied to install the clockwork and it brings the phone to that hboot version) but my firmware is the 1.24.401.1.
i think it can be understand until here.
when i'm going to hboot and i try to run recovery the phone's show me the phone with the warning red signal and i must to reboot manually the phone.
before i started the flashing process i save 1.17 firmware with a backup, there exist some procedure to return the phone to that firmware. i couldn't do the supercid procedure.
i hope you can help me cause i don't have any idea how can i proceed.
thx in advence and one more time i'm sorry for my bad write english
ive seen references to an eng hboot for the inspire 4g. im still a lil fuzzy on what DHD stuff can be flashed on the inpire so bear with me
im am radio s-offed and wondering if there is a download for an eng hboot somewhere thats not hidden inside a root tool.
i miss some of my fastboot commands and would like to run an engineering bootloader if one is available that works with all firmwares.
im not normally one to ask for info, but searching the entire inspire section for eng hboot, engnineering hboot, eng bootloader, engineering bootloader and even just plain eng and engineering didnt turn one up.
thanx for any info

It's out there - but jams up booting on Inspire devices shipped with Gingerbread. If that's you - don't even think about it. If your phone was shipped with Froyo, applied and used correctly, it's fine, however unnecessary.
On my Inspire ENG S-OFF has been made correctly with DHD One click ENG S-OFF tool, but I do not remember with what firmware it was on sale.
thanks for the replys. i was able to find hboot-eng.nb0 inside the s-off tool mentioned above.
just curious... whats the difference in shipped with GB vs froyo? i picked this phone up used,so no idea what it shipped with
by jams up,i assume you mean it hangs at the htc screen and wont boot?
I bought my Inspire at the beginning of December, and tried that same tool. Everything worked fine, them I rebooted. It died.I yanked the battery, and no response. 10 minutes later, then phone came on by itself and vibrated for about two minutes while stuck on the boot screen. Then it loaded just fine.
But, it would do the same thing if I ever rebooted.
Thinking I would be slick, I flashed the original stock rom from htc so it would install the original bootloader. Bricked immediately! It would never leave the bootscreen.
So, I returned it to Walmart, and got a new one. So, if you aren't sure about when your phone was shipped out, don't do it. Bad juju.
too late! i was running the 3.12.405.1 wwe rom and flashed the eng hboot. rebooted bootloader, and it was a .85 hboot,so i thot it would be ok,but stuck at htc screen on reboot.
unlike your experience,i flashed the stock att ruu and it was fine. currently reflashing and resetting up 3.12.405.1 rom.
did the tool turn your radio secure flag off and super CID you? maybe its got somethin to do with that? or something with the tool? i had installed it via a PD98IMG file in fastboot
thanks for the warning,if id seen it sooner,i prolly wouldnt have bothered. one thing i did notice was that with the eng hboot i was unable to fastboot oem rebootRUU resulted in a "FAILED!" error

Sooo jealous. I don't really know if the tool ever truly worked because I could never get back into bootloader to check any of it. Now, it isn't so much that I need eng s-off, but that it has issued a challenge by bricking my phone. It's personal.

It's highly doubtful you actually bricked it. I can fix these. But since you no longer have it, we'll never know.
Hi guys this is my first thread so i hope i have posted in the correct section, and posted the right info.
a couple of days ago, i bought a HTC Sensation XE off of a online website.
it is an unlocked phone, and i am using it on telstra.
the reception on it was poor, so i thought i might flash a x.xx.401.xx baseband to it, and see what happened.
so i unlocked the bootloader with HTC Dev. then i flashed clockwork recovery mod 5.0.0.2.0 onto it using ADB. i then flashed Android Revolution HD 6.6.3 onto my phone. this was without it being S-OFF and it was not rooted.
i was really excited, but none of the features i had hoped for came with it (likely because i wasnt rooted) so i decided to flash a stock ICS rom onto it.
so, i have done all of that.... AND NOW MY WIFI DOESNT WORK!!!!! I LOVE MY WIFI! when i try to turn the wifi on, it just says "error", to the left of the on/off toggle at the top of the settings screen..
any ideas on how to fix it?
please help to try and fix it

It's probably the HTC-DEV unlock that made this error. Try to unlock your phone (bootloader) via the Revolutionary method. Then reflash the firmware (last one). And finally, flash your favorite rom. This will solve your problem. Feel free to post additional questions.
Read those topics:

i cant flash it via revolutionary.... my hboot is 1.27.0000
sorry, i mean unlock by revolutionary.
also, now that i check, my gps does not work correctly, so i am assuming this means i have the wrong radio flashed onto my device? any suggestions?
Maybe radio or kernel but if you have an HTC RUU (original rom) this won't happend. So it's most likely a wrong unlock bootloader error, if this means something. Have you tried to unlock the bootloader via htc-dev again? Maybe you should use the new way to s-off (unlock bootloader), the one called jaggerbear or something like that (have a look in the dev section).
Sent from my Sensation using xda premium
nah.... Juopunutbear completely voids ur warranty... dont really want to risk that
Hi,
Im probably going to have to return my sensation for repair as its having some weird charging issues, anyway when i bought it it came with gingerbread on a vodafone uk firmware, ive s-off'd it and super cid it, then upgraded firmware and installed ics roms. Just wondering whats the best way about going back to stock, my thought was to go back to a GB rom, then OTA ICS upgrade (although as far as return this isnt necessary), so in order to do this what would I need to do, would I have to flash the 1.17 multi firmware then a custom gb rom then a gb ruu? as I tried to use the original ruu that was on my phone when i got it but got a usb error,
Or should I just try a ics ruu
ive done it once before following the guide on here successfully but for the life of me cant remember how
thank them...

[GUIDE] How to Debrand, Rebrand & Flash Stock ROMs to your Sensation
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193033
hope it helps...
I used 1.27.161.xxxx RUU from http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Pyramid
The CID is "VODAP001"
So change CID, run the RUU.
Then when you are 100% certain it's fine change to S-ON.
Ok thaks, but in order for me to flash a GB RUU do I have to flash a GB Firmware first or is that part of the RUU? The other thing is Im supercid atm, should I change it back to the carrier cid for return?

The RUU contains everything you need (firmware including radio, standard recovery and of course the ROM itself). You'll end up with a standard Vodafone bloated HTC un-rooted ROM. You'll still have S-OFF but no custom recovery.
Yes change the CID back either before or after installing the RUU.
You should change it back to S-ON BUT ONLY after you're sure everything is as it should be. There are a few guides on the final step, I'll let you dig them up, IIRC it's a fastboot command.
hmmm now i cant get the RUU to work, i already had an older vodafone ruu but downloaded yours too, when I try the one you mentioned it just hangs at the "verifying information on your android phone. please wait..." screen if I try the one i had it comes up with error [170] usb connection error, i have HTC Driver 3.0.0.007 installed
will try and download the newest ones
EDIT
Managed to do it by extracting the rom.zip from the ruu and renaming it to PG581IMG.zip Is it correct that it should have the large vodafone logo on boot, when I bought the phone (was a used from an online store) they said it was a vodafone handset however it never originally had the logo like it does now

I just checked in Device Manager and it looks like the HTC device driver I used is 2.0.7.8, in Control panel add/remove programs the HTC Driver Installer is 3.0.0.021.
After installing the HTC stuff I then removed HTC Sync.
Check the MD5 of the RUUs, just rechecked mine and they're the same as on that site. for both 1.24.161.xxx & 1.27.161.xxx.
I run mine with the phone on the home screen, I have also seen recommendations that it should be run with the phone in Fastboot mode (from bootloader).
Apart from that I don't know what it may be apart from a suspect USB cable.

Up and running, just wanted to check the vodafone logo on boot is correct?
Hi,
I'm trying to get a One S back to stock for a friend but failing...
The phone is unlocked, S-ON, hboot 1.14, 02_01 CID, has CWM recovery and rooted Cyanogenmod 10.1 installed, battery 100% and runs fine as is...
So, first of all I re-lock ready to run this RUU:
RUU_Ville_U_O2_UK_1.78.206.4_Radio_0.16.31501S.17_2_10.23.31501S.10L_release_258707_signed
but every time half way through it fails with the following errors in the attached screen shots...
A point to add is as soon as I re-lock the phone, it then will not boot but goes straight into hboot every time which I thought was strange..?
Anyway, some guidance would be very welcome to get this One S back to stock,
EDIT: Just flashed S4 Stock Recovery and the RUU still fails half way through, any ideas..?
Can anyone give me links to O2__01 HTC One S RUU files, can't find any live one anywhere..??
Thanks
Getting a RUU to run correctly is very hit and miss. The page below is a useful guide to double check the basics:
http://androidforums.com/one-s-all-things-root/691874-guide-how-run-ruu-your-htc-one-s.html
Post 9 details that with s-on you can't flash a RUU with a radio version older than the one you are on already. This may be your problem as I think your radio version will be 1.06 and the one in the RUU you are trying to run is 0.16. The problem with s-on is you can't flash radio's to do anything about that.
The RUU that should work is the one listed below, but I can't find any decent download links for it, like you said. Just try googling it and see if anything turns up.
RUU_Ville_U_ICS_40_S_O2_UK_2.38.206.2_Radio_1.08es.50.02.16_10.09b.50.04L_release_278818_signed.exe

Another thought, does anyone have or know where to get a nandroid backup of O2_01..?

Your other option of course is to S-OFF the device. You can then flash any radio or RUU you want.
