Try AOKP by RHB {search xda !}
No flicker and other issues,.. works smooth !

It works, but better wait for a update. But i'll try AOPK later

Refer to CM A8 Main page, you can find reference to newer Google Play installation.
Well there is CM9 in the forum then why to install CM 7?? U mean why to use bullock cart when the Ferrari is available???
Well anyway , its ICS. so I prefer it
Anyways you can use odin to flash it. Apply update.zip if you want to upgrade the version of CM. That can be done in CWM recovery mode.

That is because CM7 (which you refer to as a bullock cart) is actually very smooth, stable and more complete than CM9. The handling on the ferrari is bad now. so some tune ups are required till it becomes stable and most of the things work.

Pull battery out, put it back in. Hold volume down, home and power button together. This will take you to download mode. Then open odin and flash a rom

as per ddurand, i think the problem is with using a 4.2-build kernel with a 4.3 jb rom.
I don't use kt747, so can't speak it to. But I do use leankernel, and its latest 8.1 plays nice with 4.3 jb rom
I am using liquid smooth 2.9 which is 4.2.2 kt747 worked excellent on liquid smooth 2.4 still trying to figure out why the camera doesn't work this time I'm sure I can figure it out eventually

OK, I'm home now. Follow this guide to install cwm recovery http://techbeasts.com/2013/10/20/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-s1-gt-i9000-guide/
When you done with this, try to flash the ROM again using the guide from the previous link I posted (the link you downloaded the ROM from)
Edit: also, for the no signal problem, try a different modem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1870460&page=32[emoji16]

Here is the cm11 thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2760744
RUU normally dont cause reboots...
Try flashing it again, or there must be any hardware problem..
Still the same problem.

Hey i have installed cyanogenmod and still i have the same problem. It gets struck at cyanogenmod logo . Am sure that i flashed the ROM correct. But its still not working. Anyone know the reason for this ? Could this be a hardware error ?

Ya the reason of rebooting is that cause :
1 ruu u installed is broken
2. The ruu u installed is not compatible with your phone .
So try using cm11 rc1 . here is the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535682
And try using to increase your ram as well .Go here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735281
And don't forget to hit me thanks button .:sly:

Try changing your recovery to twrp 2.6
and flash rom again ..
Wipe everything except sdcard in wipe section...
mount all partitions...
flash the rom and reboot and see...
