Question about Google Play - General Questions and Answers

I am planning to sell my old phone (Xperia ray), however, when I look at "my devices" in Google Play Store I see it listed. Is there a way to unbind the phone from my gmail account? Maybe it's not necessary, but I'm not sure.

It doesn't look like you can unbind from google play settings using your computer. You should ask google play support. But I'm pretty sure a factory reset should wipe out the data on the phone. The phone information probably won't be removed from your google account though.

I've flashed an unbranded stock Rom, so when the new owner powers it up, he'll get prompted to enter his own gmail account. What I wonder is whether that's enough to get the Play Store working or if I had to "unbind" it first.

Migrating installed apps to different Google play account

Hello,
as the title suggests I'm after a way to have my new Google account on Play utilize installed.apps.info from an older account. Essentially I'm consolidating all of my Google accounts into one for use on my android machine, and unfortunately I've been installing apps via an account that will be merged and deactivated.
I tried using titanium backup to backup/restore all apps and system data after switching to my sole primary account, and confirming the reinstallation of all apps, but Google Play still shows a blank list of installed apps.
Is this possible at all?
Thanks

Not possible
Does Play cache the downloaded packages somewhere so that I may recycle those from the old account for use with the new by recreating the cache path for use with the new?

Everything is stored by the Google acct. Once u sign in to another Google acct u can still use the apps don't u won't be able to download the paid apps again unless u on the old acct u purchased it from.
Okay. Thanks any way.

one way is to get the Google Play apk and put this in the SD card, then, installed it into your Android Device.
I am also in the hunt for more Android apk too. If you know where to find these apk, please share with us?

might not be the actual google account....are getting your gmail to your phone? If so, then it is log on...
prob the play store....have you tried clear cache and data for the play store, thru the settings/applications/all applications....look for google play store app...clear the above and reboot then try again...
Okay I'll give that a try, and it is all apps that require my gmail acct, like if I go to settings> accounts and sync, my account doesn't show up
That seems to have worked, thanks man

Google Verification Code??

What is this, I've received a text and a call with a code and have no idea if it's for the Google Search thing or not??

On your google account, there's a second layer of security. Anytime you log into your account from a device or computer other than the one recognized by google, you'll have to enter this code which is sent to the phone number listed on your google account. You can disable this by logging into your account and going to security.
I had it on my account, but I've gone through several ROMs the past couple of days and got tired of having to go through the process everytime I flashed a new ROM.
However - this is assuming you are logging into your Google account when you get these texts/calls. If not, then it could be some spammy thing or perhaps someone else is trying to log into your account from another device/computer,

Could be a scam, sure. But even if you've only used it on your phone, Google will then send the code anytime [you or someone] tries to log in with a device ID not recognized by Google. When you first logged in on your phone, do you remember selecting an option for the second layer of security? Here's a link to info on it if you want to see what it is.
As you said, it may well be junk - but it won't hurt to keep an eye on your account just to be safe.

If i have an android phone & tablet what happens when i restore one..

What i mean is, when i first started on both, i logged onto my google account, im wondering now i have both setup and both are logged on to the same google account. well both have different apps etc, some are the same, does the backup thats created on google for each specifc device, so if i formatted my tablet then re-logged onto my google account, will it only download the apps that were on the tablet or does it make a restore from both devices?
I just dont want to ever end up having to download everything from both devices.
thanks

Only the apps you had on that certain device will be restored back. So if you restore your phones, all your apps you had on it will be installed again. And if you restore your tablet only the apps you had on your tablet will be restored back.

Google Services and Other Questions

I was wondering what this phone came installed with. I haven't bought one yet, but I'm really considering it.
Does this device come installed with Google Play or Google Play Services? Would I be able to install it if I tried (because I'm not against that)? Or can I just install a ROM and get all that with it?
Thanks.
It depends actually on the region the phone was made for. If you buy a Chinese version of the phone, you wont have Google apps installed and you would be able to manually install them ( google contacts sync and play store are the most important ones). Yet, if you bought an international version of the phone, then Google apps will be pre installed by default

I've bought an L02 version of ebay, installed playstore manually, but I can't sync my contacts. Everything else it's no problem, but not the contacts! I've done a bunch of searching with no conclusion. Any ideas?
Your problem is that you are missing the Google contacts sync app. Find it in a google apps package or download it from Huawei app center

I've downloaded the contacts app from here:
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...ontacts-1-1-android-5-1-android-apk-download/
And still, I can't add my google contacts. Everytime I try to add an account, the google accounts is not an option, only Cloud, Weibo and facebook show up.
