[Q]I can not wipe STOCK data/factory reset!? Bricked phone. - General Questions and Answers

Phone: Samsung Infuse 4G (SGH 1997)
Steps taken:
1) Successfully gained root access using OneClick.
2) Applied 3e recovery.
3) Downloaded titanium Backup, did app backups.
4) Copied custom ROM ZEUS 6.28n + update to /sdcard/#ROMS (not like it really matters where i put it)
5) Downloaded Rom Manager, flashed recovery and rebooted into recovery.
6) Touched "reinstall packages" went through a little thing and brought me to ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.2
7) Touched "wipe data/factory reset"
8) Got stuck at the FIRST notice "Formatting DATA" .. Let it sit for about 3 hours, nothing... pulled battery, rebooted
9) Boots into stock rom with obviously no user data reset (password etc is still there) But now there is a major problem! I get this recurring error:
Sorry!
The application
BrcmBluetoothServices
(process com.broadcom.bt.app.system) has stopped unexpectedly
I hit Force Close and it pops right back up, over and over, leaving my phone successfully bricked.
**UPDATE**
Tried wiping data/factory reset about 6 times and it FINALLY processed! Wiped data/factory reset, wiped dalvik cache, wiped cache, installed ROM from zip, processes successfully. Reboot phone, still has stock rom(factory reset) and still has that pesky error! It clearly did not install the rom! Still bricked! I put the sdcard into a different phone, mounted, and the files are not there!? I created a new folder /sdcard/#ROMS, put the sdcard back in the Infuse and the old files are there and new files are not! Wtf? Anyways... This makes it impossible to add new roms to the sdcard in order to try different roms!
Here is what I can do on my phone.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. Force Close.. you get the idea... I actually sat here for about an hour hitting force close before I just turned it off and decided to wait for a response here.
For the record, I can still access CWM recovery so it's not totally bricked...
Any suggestions to stop that pesky error message would be greatly appreciated! thank you ahead of time!

[Q] Going crazy...unable to reboot

Regardless of which rom I flash, once I reboot my phone, whether it be a normal reboot or to do a nandroid in recovery etc, my phone freezes on the start up during the boot animation.
This forces me to wipe the data/factory reset and install the rom again just to get my phone up and running again.
Even after I wipe everything and freshly install a rom, I'll get occasional force close bombardment. I'll just have to keep starting over until I am able to boot the phone correctly. Again, even if I can get it to start correctly, I can only use the phone as long as I DO NOT reboot for any reason. Otherwise I start the whole vicious cycle over again. Messed up..I know...
I properly install the roms, formatting cache and Dalvik when appropriate. I have also already done the method to fix force closes posted by seanzcreams. I even formatted my external sd and internal sd and started over. I still get a freeze on start up after my frist successful boot of any rom.
I am SOOO tired of getting my phone the way I like it and have to start over when I am no longer able to reboot
If there is anyone who could help me before I pull all my hair out and kill myself, you'd be my best friend. Thanks ahead
Try flashing stock recovery with Odin and wipe data/factory reset. If that doesn't work maybe try flashing back to full stock, reroot and try again

Remove the SD Card from phone and then boot to see if you still see FCs.

[Q] Bricked ns4g?

I have a Nexus S 4g with ICS. Phone was rooted last year. Ran stock ICS for the past month (Sprint OTA update). Last week it rebooted when downloading an app. After the reboot all of my apps were "closing unexpectedly", not force closing. After about 10 minutes it tried to reboot and got stuck on the boot animation.
-Tried doing factory wipe/reset through the OS, TWRP, CWM and Fastboot. When it reboots, nothing has been wiped.
-Flashed Stock ICS and Gingerbread images. ICS will start and get the app close cascade, then get stuck on the splashscreen. Gingerbread hangs on the google screen/does not boot.
-Cannot write to sdcard but can copy everything off the phone to my PC. Toggling USB Debugging does not help.
Flashed stock rom using odin. It said that everything was successful but it booted up to the same problem.

I am out of ideas. I tried using Odin but could not find the PIT file for my phone.

if u have installed stock rom go to recovery and do a factory reset and clear cache
clear caches
I have done factory reset from the ICS UI, stock recovery (ICS and GB), CWM, and TWRP. I've cleared the regular cache, Dalvik cache, sdcard and everything that is clearable or wipeable in in CWM, TWRP, stock recovery. I've cleared the cache in fastboot and did "fastboot -w" (don't know exactly what that wipes) with no effect. I even had Windows try to format the phone. I have done any and all combinations at least three to four times apiece.

[Q] Bricked P5100? Help please!

My P5100 had CM10 nightly on it and was running fine until I upgraded to the latest version of CM10 after wiping the cache & Dalvik cache. After the upgrade I couldn't get Google Play to run even after wiping its data and fixing permissions so I tried to do a CWM restore. Unfortunately there was a fault restoring the Data partition and now my tablet is stuck at the animated bootscreen. If I long-press the power button it powers off but immediately restarts. There is no way to start in in recovery or flash mode. I've plugged it into my PC and the Samsung Android ADB interface is showing but the other references to the tablet all have a yellow triangle in Device Manager. I'm hoping some clever person can help me rescue the tablet with ADB. Thanks!

IF CWM is not working use Odin to flash CWM again then use CWM to flash CM10,
You may need to do a factory reset (full wipe) from CWM.
If all else fails use Odin to flash stock JB ROM

That's the problem - I cannot access download mode
UPDATE - it just started in download mode! I can manage from here!!
Just for the record you can install adb on the pc and run the command 'adb reboot recovery'. This will force the tablet to reboot in recovery mode.

Jeez, this has taken up most of the day to fix. I came across many problems I have not previously experienced:
1. When the tablet was stuck at the boot animation and I tried to turn it off by long-pressing the power button it immediately restarted. The only way I could get it to turn off was by long-pressing the power button whilst it was connected to my PC.
2. Flashing the stock ROM with Odin appeared to complete successfully but it would never fully boot, it always got stuck at the black & white Samsung screen. Same problems turning it off as above.
3. Flashing CWM with Odin caused the tablet to reboot into the stock ROM which would not load, in the end I had to untick the "reboot" button in Odin, power it off then manually restart with the Vol- & power buttons.
4. The only way I could get a bootable ROM was by flashing CM10 with CWM. I tried to restore 2 previous CWM backups but on each occasion there was an error restoring the Data partition and I got stuck at the scenario at (1). The backups were made to the external SD card with CWM Touch - is the Touch version unreliable?
I would be really interested if anyone could shed any light on any of this stuff!
For how long did you let it install during the first reboot? It happened to me too, and it took about 10 minutes, maybe even more...
Also, did you try in the "Mount and storage" cwm menu the options "format system", "format data", "format cache" and "format preload" options, prior to re-flashing a ROM? I have read somewhere that for a clean install it's better to do this, as it really clears everything that could mess up the system between two different bases ROMs (like CM and stock).
What I do everytime is using in CWM these 4 "format" options, plus "wipe" system, cache and dalvik, then immediately after this I flash with cwm the new "zip" copied on the card. Then the first reboot is much longer than usual, as at this stage it installs the files, rebuild the dalvik cache etc.
Good luck

I think I gave it a good 20 mins to boot. When I got up this morning there was an error message saying that there was no room to install any more apps even though I had very few installed. Settings -> Storage would not calculate the space available so I figured that the partitions had become corrupted. I did the step by step format you described and reflashed & it all seems to be OK now.

[Q] Stuck on boot loop. help!

My tablet is p3113, and has dualbooting. (rooted in both roms). I was using the first rom, and used custom locale to change my location, but i accidently pressed antartica, then a bunch of errors showed up (like "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped working" "Unfortunately, System Preferences has stopped working" and "Unfortunately, android.process.acore has stopped working" (there were tons more)). Then, my tablet froze, so i forced it to shut down. I rebooted my tablet and tried to boot into the first rom, but it stuck in the samsung logo( the logo showes up, and disappears, and showes up... keeps doing that over and over again), and my second rom works perfectly. How do I fix my first rom( I really don't want to factory reset).
Things I have done:
1. reboot
2. wipe dalvik cache
3. format /cache
only one way flash latest stock rom and second rom once again
Most ROMs will allow you to dirty flash. Just flash that ROM over and all should be fine and you will lose nothing.
Calvin cache and cache won't solve your problem nor reflashing
U gotta wipe data and the other thing

i think you have to into the download mode and use odin to flash a stock firmware

[Q] Issues Restoring Phone Post-Root Soft Brick

I rooted my Verizon Galaxy S6 via ping-pong root. Then downloaded flashify followed by the Revolution Rom. Flashed the revolution rom! All is still well...
I then went into Titanium backup in hopes to restore my messages/etc so I did restore "all apps with data", but only selected data. Once it finished, it told me to reboot, to which I now face a never-ending text box of "unfortunately, system ui has stopped"....
I'm now in Odin mode (?) with a teal-ish screen which says "downloading... do not turn off target" for the past 10 minutes and none of the buttons are working...
somehow got myself to the android system recovery page...
as of right now my options are to:
reboot system now
apply update from ABD
apply update from external storage
apply update from cache wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition reboot to bootloader
power down
view recovery logs
Next steps?
