[Q] Android 4.0 WebView Problem - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I currently develop games in HTML5 and publish them in the android market by packaging them up in a apk and displaying through a WebView. Now in android 4.0 you can no longer use "file:///" to load up the HTML5 file locally into the webview. I was wondering if there is a work around for this?

[Q] Running Intel x86 image in VM

Has anyone ever been able to run the intel's image they use for the Android emulator on Vmware or Virtualbox? The x86 acceleration makes the emulator a lot faster, but for sophisticated networking the emulator pales in comparison to vmware or vbox.
I tried downloading the image and making an iso out of it, but it wouldn't boot. I'm wondering if there might be some specific settings in the Android Emulator provided by Google to allow it to boot and then run the system image.
And yes, I've heard of android-x86 project. Their android 4.2.2 iso is extremely buggy. The 4.0 one is nice but I need 4.2.2
Any help would be extremely helpful!

[Q] kodi on android stick

I was looking at dx for android tv on sticks (link) -
I wonder, does xbmc kodi run on all these android 4.2.2? I'm looking at the pieces with 2gb ram / 8gb space.
Also, can I assume the standard google tv app (on both android and ios) will be able to control the stick?
Thanks!

Very Limited Android TV 6 Version

I have a Toshiba smart TV and it is running a very limited version of Android 6. There is no option to login to Google, there is no play store and it is very limited. Is there any way to upgrade it or change it to fully functional Android system?

Android OS (not Android TV) on an Android Stick

Hello,
I am looking for a cheap Android stick which runs Android 11 or 12 (not Android TV but the normal Android meant for phones/tablets). All the Android sticks on Alibaba seem to run only Android TV OS.
There were such products way back in 2014, have a look at this link https://www.laptopmag.com/android-sticks. However I am unable to find any products now, looked on Alibaba, Amazon etc. I found 1 product on Alibaba but it runs Android 4 Kitkat. I am looking for Android 11/12.
Or is there a way to flash normal Android on Android TV boxes?
