Just upgraded my base from R4 to R5 and installed 14ish. Everything is working great except the ability to sync my facebook acct with my calendar is no longer available, any way to bring it back?
Also any recommendation for a good locker that gives me the ability to go straight to camera, texts, phone and control music from lock? I tried golocker but its a bit sluggish.
Thanks all

I agree. This app is awesome. I don't use the dialer or the messaging replacement, but the contacts list is great and the favorites page saves me from needing a contacts widget.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
The updates ruined the app. They forced SMS integration which is a bad idea.
I used to like the app, now it is just plain annoying because its SMS app is not as good as others like Handcents or Chomp.
I like the dialer and the SMS.
Don't like that my contacts have no pictures.
Youlu address book surely is the best contact manager/interface, plus the sms feature is great. only thing wrong with it is the contacts pictures dont properly sync.
using google contacts as contacts, sync'd with facebook profile pictures or manually added in google contacts, displays pictures correctly in default contacts app. but they dont display in youlu. using x10 mini pro, android 2.1
i know its possible as hanscent sms got it right.
hope this gets sorted out sometime...
It doesn't seem to sync with Facebook is the big issue. If it did, I'd be all over it.
i've been trying it for a few days, it works like a charm and looks great. i've not sign up yet. have you tried its own services?
afaik, lacking of contacts pictures is not the dialers' problem. to see more pictures (much more, but not all of them unfortunately) you can use syncmypix, which can be found at the market as a freeware:

have you guys tried Go Contacts, the GoSMS and GoLauncher guys made it and it's AMAZING IMO. I tried youlu when it came out but always returned to Go?
i had tried gocontacts but i can't remember why i drop it. i'll try it again.
btw, an alternative tool to sync contact photos is Google Contact Sync:

This isn't necessary if you're on a Sense rom, but it cures the no-Facebook-picture problem on AOSP roms.
I have 4.0.3 installed on my Nexus S (GT-9020), and have been loving it - best OS I have used on any phone. So sleek and well designed, it's a real shame most users will never see it's full glory once Samsung, HTC et al will put their own skin over it.
Anyway, yesterday (29th Feb) all my calendar appointments disappeared from my phone and now it is only showing new ones added since yesterday.
None of my settings have changed, I still have my work exchange account and my gmail account syncing and the mail from both are fine. All the calendars are still selected to be shown. When I go online I can still see my appointments in Google Calendar so I know they haven't been deleted and in Outlook my exchange appointments are also still there.
I don't know what has happened. At first I thought it was just the widget but the full app doesn't show them either.
Has anyone seen this? Does anyone know how to sort it?
Cheers.

Try turning sync off for calendar , restart, then turn it back on?
Have you tried clearing data from the calendar app? Go into Settings | Apps | All | look for calendar and clear data.
Are you using a custom ROM? Is this for all appointments (google and exchange)?
I had this problem once for the exchange appointments. I resolved it by removing the exchange account, and adding it back again with all settings left at default.
Maybe a problem with the leap year? But then others should also having problems.
I would also remove the calendar, reboot, delete data and re-add the calendar.
Thanks Oogway13.
I tried turning off and on sync with no joy, but deleting the app data under the app "Calendar Storage" did the trick. Everything went (as expected) then opened the calendar app (can't remember if I selected refresh or not) and all my appointments slowly came back. Weird.
I didn't need to reboot or remove-add the calendar app (which I think you can only disable, not remove, on ICS anyway) so that's good.
Just running stock Nexus S ICS ROM (downloaded from this forum) and use stock calendar app for both google calendar and exchange calendar. All had gone missing though!
Glad it's back.
Excellent!! good to know it's working now
All my contacts are synched with google and everytime I open the stock contacts app, it takes forever to load all my contacts.
It's annoying because when I want to text or call someone, it won't detect the person's name until my contacts fully load.
When it's done loading and you turn off the screen, it goes blank again and it takes forever to load again.
I'm running NexusMod's ICS leak but I was having trouble with this in other roms as well.
Thanks
My exchange contacts seem to be working fine, but I don't have any Yahoo contacts. Can't get my Yahoo calendars either. Normally have the option to sync these from account settings, but not now. Also can't set Yahoo email or Gmail to push.
I am running the NexusMod ICS Zero Beta 7 leak and I was having the same issue. There were built in AT&T contacts in the list trying to sync to AT&T every time I opened my contacts.
I deleted the pre-loaded AT&T contacts and now the Contacts App loads instantly.
I'm having a similar problem. I'm running ICS Smooth Ice 4.0.3 and my Google contacts won't sync with the phone. All my contacts are on my phone but when I sync it with Google, all the contacts disappear in Gmail on my computer. I have to stop the sync in order to keep any contacts in Gmail. The phone application is also SUPER slow on the phone with this ROM but I still like the ROM anyway.

Hi there, the other day i decided to (after a fair bit of reading) root my Wildfire that i have had for the last year with no problems. I have decided to go with the DK_Custom_Froyo v 4.6.2.
After doing so i set about putting some programs back on and getting rid of some of the standard bloatware, such as you tube, adobe reader, pico, rss reader etc.
I have found that my calendar cannot/will not sync with my googlemail account. I have data linked with navigation and google maps, where my starred places can be synced.
I am trying to look into the source of the problem but seen as its taken me over a year to have the bottle to root my phone im not that technically gifted when it comes to phones. (i'll quite happily strip down a car and rebuild it) A couple of the symptoms are:
1. When i add a event there is no calendar to add to then when i click save, it opens a box stating that its 'loading calendars' but would do that all day if i left it.
2. When i goto settings>accounts and sync>google, and try to manually sync the sync com.andriod.calendar, i get a message stating that 'sync is currently experiencing. It will be back shortly'
Everything else syncs such as the weather and facebook.
I like the calendar as i've got used to using it and the layout but obviously i'd rather have a working calendar where i can sync all my appointments and birthdays.
Is the problem with the custom rom?
Any Help or advise on this problem is greatly appreciated.
anyone? Still having problems
Just upgraded from android 2.3 to ICS 4.0
I cant sync my Facebook with my contact list - tried everything included loggin out/in facebook
Worked fine with 2.2
In my search for an answer I actually seen seperate app for syncing facebook contacts, also read that jellybean cant sync facebook contacts, android 4.0 has all the settings for syncing facebook contacts but just doesn't actually work
which all point to v 4.0 bug
Am I missing something or is it just a bug thats never been fixed?
I can live without it (certainly wont be installing any apps for this pi$$-ant problem) but it was working and be nice if it does
Facebook?

People are not happy with the Facebook App which is currently on the Play Store due to very slow performance & many bugs. I think you should wait for a proper update
